Trench Crusade is a skirmish-scale tabletop miniatures game that will plunge players deep into a horrifying alternate timeline. During the Crusades a heretical band of Templars dared defy the Almighty and, casting aside their sacred vows, unleashed the forces of Hell upon the Earth. Over 800 years later, in the Year of Our Lord 1914, this brutal, merciless war between the forces of Heaven and Hell rages on. This is not just a fight for survival, but a cataclysmic struggle that will decide the very fate of humanity's soul.

I would much rather live in Warhammer 40 K then in this universe, it sounds horrifying.
I feel you. In 40K there are some decent planets with okay standards of living where bad things hardly ever happen. They do exist, they're not that uncommon, kept safe by the tireless sacrifice and toil of the Inquisition, as well as the various agents and armies of the Golden Throne.
The lore is really promising and I love the art, its very Zdzislaw Beksinski like, probably not a coincidence as its got the same eerie, uncanny appearance.
1:00:12 Not to downplay how cool thos world is, im conflicted on this bit here. I adore the creators actually inclided the historical Hashassins and the "Old Man of the Mountain", who is a historical figure from the Third Crusade. Though they got his name wrong/changed it. His name historically was Hassan-i-Sabbah. It's a nitpick but stikl, really cool!

I'm curious what the ultimate act of heresy was and why on earth did the knights Templar of all people commit it?
From what I heard it was just a single templar the committed the heresy and it was the opening of the portal to hell.
I agree the Templars committing this "ultimate Heresy" doesn't work in my opinion. To me having the templars be the start of it seem so cliche, considering how over used they are in that role in Assassins creed, books, movies, and there defamation by the king of France so he could get there gold

What sacrifices Solomon made to keep Hell at bay? What kind of abominable acts of worship were done in those places before the time of Abraham? What knowledge was hidden in the depths of the vaults of Jerusalem, things occluded from Mankind since the time before the Flood?
Honestly, Mike left it wilfully vague...but the description of one of the Hell "hero" units, the Heresiarch, reports this quote:

Now, calling this the "First Heresy", under a unit said to have "once been human but grown vast with its accumulated blasphemies", makes me think that some of the Templars grew weary of the horrors they witnessed during the Crusade, maybe questioning its futility, and found under the Temple of Jerusalem the Seal that Solomon placed over Hell, and decided to undo it in order to "demand equality with God"...and because of that, some of them became Heresiarchs.
But keep in mind, insofar all the lore comes from the descriptions under Instagram posts on Mike Franchina's profile, at least until the first rule/lorebooks are printed

Lamentations of the Flame Princess rules would work well with this idea.

I look at these illustrations and I already know where I would be getting my missing Vostroyan and Tallarn Imperial Guardsmen. Gotta say, though, this lore sounds too grand-scale for a skirmish game.
Really good video, and I enjoy finally getting to know the lore more but I think splitting this video up into chapters (Like the timeline, factions, etc. not a new video all together mind you) would help a lot, and also having a few seconds break in between topic transitions could have been nice.

To be honest I would 3D Print 40k even if there was no woke Chaos infestation in it. XD
I am just not paying ~180PLN for 5 Astartes, while I also have to buy the *rest* of my army.
Good figurine 3D Printer costs only as much as 2 Baneblades (~800PLN), and 1.2kg of filament shares pricetag with these Marines.
