You might find this interesting. I am the youngest of 5 kids, my mom was almost the youngest of 10 kids. My grandfather bought a barrel of molasses during the depression which had totally crystallized. Everyone thought he was crazy for doing so but he took it home. My grandmother brought it back to life by simmering with water and jarred it for a sweetener. It was a great bartering item. He also bought a half train car full of mixed up pairs of leather shoes. He and my 8 uncles tore the shoes apart and made leather washers for tractors and other equipment. He was quite the McGuyver, lol. He also wrote poetry , which I have copies of in his handwriting

@@Bex-rg8pj I really liked that you shared that true story with us. Great things to know and to pass on. Since the times are Pandemic, it helps to hear how our forefathers managed job, family n food. Oh, and orphanages. --- during WW2 my Father-in-law along with his two brothers, but not his one sister, were all out in orphanages. There was no money to feed the kids, so they gave them up. It was a very common act at that time. And my father-in-law snuck out the orphanage with his brothers, lied about their ages, and enlisted to the military for food and shelter, and jobs. There's more to the story, but that's a bit of history to share, also, just becuz !!! I'd like to tell you about when it was time for them to get physicals, what they did! lol

Hello Jinne. I am a newbie and I have been binging your videos (while canning) and I would like to thank you for all you have taught me!! You have really opened my eyes to so much. I live alone and I feel more confident that I can "some what" handle it if something happens. I am even walking around at night, in the dark, to see if I can get to my light/matches/candle tote! As you say....."You never know!!". So true. Again. thank you!

I don’t have enough strength in my wrist to get it up to 15 pounds which is my elevation. So I just leave it in the can. Thrive life has honey crystals. And when you look on the ingredients it has one word-honey! You drop a couple of those little crystals in your tea and four have you gotten a sweet mint tea or any flavor to your making and it’s really delicious. I haven’t ever tried to reconstituted I have made several desserts and sealed them up in the powder form using the crystals. I did buy the powder but it’s gonna stay in its ton cans till I need it

I saw the Honey powder discount on Amazon, but I don't see any reason for honey powder. But, they have been having some great deals on No10 cans of Augason Farms lately. Some take a couple of weeks to ship, but a lot of stuff for 50% off or so. Seems to change every few days. I sure got some great deals, and still keeping an eye out, but I think I got everything I needed.
