do these wear out a lot on Corsa's? a friend's 1.0 2013 Corsa is having stalling issues, no engine management codes. Mechanic is saying it has failed and needs to be replaced, not just cleaned etc like with some cars. Any advice?
Try to clean it first. The 2013 throttle body has a different look. I think it's more prone to failure than the old ones. But without an error code I think the problem is elsewhere.
If you disconnect the battery before, shouldn't be a problem. What engine do you have? Try tu disconnect the battery for 20-30 minutes. After reconnect, put the ingnition on and leave it on for 30 seconds before actually start the engine.

It has, but it looks like it will last quite a long time.
