Thanx big help I didn't realize about the earth for the ecu I have just changed the head and gasket and painted the bracket that holds that earth so it gave me problems fixing it now
Loving these new Corsa vids. Great video production and it's pushing me to carry out the fixes myself. Do you ever plan to make a video showing how to replace a heating matrix or carry out a coolant flush?
Thanks mate. I would but... we’re Selling the car for £1 in a weeks time. Just uploaded the final video a few minutes ago. Go have a watch and you can buy it for £1...
Had a little 'moisture' in the corsa, back lights and front, drivers side. corsa been off the road since as it just wont start. flashing and clicking dash lights, clicking noise from throttle area and behind glove box. it started once since, and fault code reader said it was MAF sensor, replaced that and still it wont start. any ideas?
My Corsa does this whilst the engine is running it makes the odd random click, someone said it's turning on the AC itself? Any idea what could cause a click when it's running? The belt slows down too
You don't really do sarcasm, do you!😀 I had a swimming pool in my Opel Tigra a few years ago. Removed everything from the engine side of the bulwark, cleaned off the worn silicone sealant, removed the flaps that just served to trap leaves and other debris. Dry ever since.

Hi. Liking your videos. Very helpful. Daughter is training to be a doc. Bought her Corsa whilst she is at medical school. She’s had starting probs just as you laid out. I noticed the butterfly literally fluttering when the throttle pedal is depressed. Can’t believe it was designed to be anything other than a smooth opening and closing in line with foot operation. Suggests the throttle body motor or the throttle pedal is faulty. What do you reckon? Did changing the pedal stop the starting issues?
Hi, I agree that it should be smooth so it would point to a motor or pedal issue. From memory I changed both that I got second hand from a donor car and it sorted the issue.
@@Resto.Nation thanks helpful. On your video you upped the Earthing and changed the pedal. I could hear that noise that we get from the throttle body still which is the butterfly fluttering (which butterflies in nature do lol) did the starting probs disappear with just the pedal changed? Sorry to bombard you with this but you seem to be the only person on planet Earth to tackle this issue which for a little car like this to have fly-by-wire is such a silly step up from a basic cable. Obviously made production line manufacture easier at the expense of failure down the second hand line. This car has only done 60k and fills up nicely with water thanks to that other issue you solved with the badly sealed servo!
@@docj3wls573 tough question as it was a long time ago. The pedal has a potentiometer in it that I’m assuming gives a variable resistance reading to the ecu that in turn opens that throttle body according to pedal travel. I would say order one at a time and replace them until it goes away. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
@@Resto.Nation agree. I’m going to take the pedal out and measure the variance in resistivity. If that is fluctuating then I agree with you it must be that first. Brilliant thanks mate, going to do the earth replacement first and then go from there 👍
