next time you wanna do the cool vinyl idea it can still work out if you rub a little turtle wax on the area before applying the vinyl, then it'll peel without any damage underneath !
I'm glad I came across this video that is the look I want for my mini drag bike frame I almost got that same rainbow effects paint yesterday but I didn't I wanted to see it used first now I am gonna run my butt right to the store and grab some cans looks awesome
I want to use it for a white & black paint job. So... I want the contrast to be on point between both colors, but want to really know if the holographic flake will effect that, or interfer the image view? I also think Montana holographic would perform equally as well, but better yet with bigger flakes.
Just wanted to let you know… In most cases you didn’t do anything wrong… Duplicate colors paint as well as Krylon for the most part is so damn sensitive!… It’s garbage… I get a sprayer and do it the professional way and you won’t have any issues… Or… Rust oleum I’m like Krylon or duplicate color isn’t made to be a prima donna… I’ve gone through this 100 times… The cracking and chipping spiderweb etc.… They make too many Products that have to be reapplied within an hour and if you missed that window because it’s sometimes 30 minutes when it says an hour it will screw up on you… And if you lay 10% too much on a wet coat or 10% too little on a bond coat it’ll also mess up… I have emailed both companies and sent him videos while I’m using their product as directed and show them that it still screws up and they have nothing to say other than possibly love relative humidity is incorrect… Pointless
Yeah I had a lot of people telling me to just get a gun and spray it properly but this channel is based around budget builds so here I am rattle canning my bike lol came out very decent but not super great. It’s a learning process!
I think it’s like dust or little dirt particles cause I laid the tank down after I primed it and didn’t think to clean it off before spraying the black paint
I think the only criticism or advice I would tell you is be a little more patient. I think you got into a little rush to get the video made, and the weather outside is shitty. I use paints like this all the time and have hardly ever had problems with them. If I do paint a riser and mess it up by laying it on something then I sand that area down and blend it in. I like that you are showing people that you can make things look good with spray paint, but you should also mentinon that if it is on a car or motorcylcle they need to keep wax on it because it will oxidize after about a year.

If it’s plastic I’d suggest you use an adhesion promoter, then shooting primer, base, abs clear coats

You could probably do a whole frame with one can. I’d advise a single coat, I did 2 on the tank and it made the black look a shade of grey

its possible, this clear FX stuff looks good on white but i highly recommend only one coat of it.

I’m sure it will, might only be visible in the sun but would be a nice touch regardless
I think its not contaminants its called fisheye effect and its from doing too heavy of a coat.

@@CGOD tack cloth after each phase. Prime,dry,tack cloth.base,dry, tack cloth..ect... looks awesome tho 👌🙌.
Minimum 2000 wet sand for your fuck-up on the tank top, then do it again. Decent, but not something I would send out of a shop...

How did the 2k react to the flake clear?
It did well, spilled gas on it a couple times no issues. I hit the tank kinda hard and the clear bubbled
