Hi everyone, today let’s see how to make tasty teastall style Pazhampori at home..
To prepare the batter of the Pazhampori, first, in a large mixing bowl, combine one egg, half teaspoon of cardamom powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar, two pinches of cumin seeds, a little salt to taste and quarter tablespoon of turmeric powder and mix everything well with your hands to combine..
Into the beaten egg mixture, add 4 tablespoons of rice flour, 2 cups of plain flour and two pinches of baking soda and combine everything well..
Once the egg mixture and the flour is combined, add enough water and mix it into thick batter..
The batter should not be very thick nor too runny.. It should only be thick enough to the bananas..
I am using only one egg for 2 cups of plain flour..If you are using only one cup of plain flour, add only half of one egg.
After adding the water, mix the batter using a whisking motion with your hands to incorporate air into the batter. This step is very important. :)
Once the battery is ready, leave it to rest for around 10 minutes..
Once the batter is ready, cut your bananas into four large strips and keep aside.
Next, heat some oil in a pan and dip each piece of banana in the prepared batter and deep fry it in oil on a medium to low flame or until the banana fries through completely..
when one side looks done, flip over and fry the other side as well.
Once they turn crisp and look cooked, remove from the oil and sevre!! :)
I added four drops of organic food colour to the batter only to get nice pictures and footages for the video, you may totally skip it if you are making it at home
