This is what foam was truly meant for! I was only using foam for lubrication, but this has changed my process. This plus the Foam Gun I got from Obsessed Garage are meant for each other.
Tried Griots surface wash today with my PF22 foam cannon and 2800 PSI 2.3 GPM gas pressure washer. I bought the pink gas pressure washer metering tip from Griots and it fit perfectly in the PF22 suction tube. FYI, I have a DI water tank connected to my pressure washer. This whole combo put out THICK foam that smelled GREAT! Let it dwell for about 7 minutes on fairly grimy paint. I could clearly see the dirt being encapsulated! Rinsed with high pressure and it did a FANTASTIC job!!!!!! Probably removed 95% of the grime on the more dirty areas and 100% on the less dirty areas! IMPRESSIVE product and only used about an ounce of product with the pink metering tips. The Griots bottles didn't have a perfect seal with the PF22, but it was good enough. You could always pour the solution into the PF22 bottle for a perfect deal. No diluting needed! Followed with Poly Gloss which is also fantastic! If Poly Gloss is used on a weekly basis(maybe even 2 weeks), it could be used as a standalone LSP on a daily driver.

I spoke to Jeff Brown for over an hour last week about this stuff, he is the mastermind behind it. He put a ton of time into this system. Great stuff for sure I can't stop using it. the scents are also addictive and not cheap smelling like other foaming products.

Hi, Pan! Great video as always. We have some pretty intense bug splatter problems here in the South. The Griots Garage Bug Barricade works pretty well to reduce the problem of bugs sticking especially after a highway drive.

Good review, thanks Pan. Love the idea of touchless maintenance wash with Ph neutral products. Seems the recipe is; good paint, good coating (ceramic, carnuba, or otherwise) and a good foaming detergent. Follow that up with a resin tank rinse and a leaf blower and you’re all set!

I watched another different video that you made, and it appeared to me that you were using what I thought to be in N914 or similar product to pre-spray your car before the wash.
My belief, was the pre spray was Capsulating the dirt.
Currently, I pre-spay my car with N914. Wait a few minutes and then rinse before foaming and washing the car. After watching the video, I was very impressed with the Griots products. Would you be kind enough to tell me what products based on your extensive knowledge that you would suggest I use use?
Ah in this specific use case scenario, yes I also often use an rinseless wash as a pre-treat to encapsulate dirt. You can use a rinseless wash pre-treat, followed by the hand wash. Or rinseless pre-treat, rinse, then foam, then rinse, then wash. There are many ways to wash a car, also dependent on how dirty it is.

I ordered a bottle but it's on BO due to an issue with the bottle (35 oz size) and it's not shipping till the end of Sept, so I'll be waiting a bit but its certainly going to be well worth the wait. Although I don't have a hose due to living in an apartment we do have underground parking and I have a Worx hydroshot and although not a real power washer it's what I have and gets the job done for my needs. I'll be using the foam attachment with about an ounce of the GG foaming surface cleaner as the tank is much smaller, going to be interesting to see how it does. I'm hoping a good soaking on a dusty car for 10 mins and a rinse is going to be enough on my TAC system protected paint.

I use roughly 1000 psi. Anything between 1000 to 2000 psi is safe.

How does the Griots foaming surface wash compare to using McKees N914 and which product would you recommend and why? Perhaps you should use them in conjunction with each other?
Two completely different products. Foaming surface wash is a pre-wash, while the McKee's N-914 is a rinseless wash. You could start by snow foaming with the Griot's Garage first, rinse, and then proceed to do the rinseless wash with the McKee's if you like rinseless washes.

I use many wheel cleaners as I have hundreds and hundreds of different products. Lately I’ve been using AngelWax Bilberry wheel cleaner and I’m also testing a new wheel cleaner that I can’t reveal yet as it’s not officially available yet. Stay tuned!

What compound are you using? I rarely get dusting. But if you have compressed air, blow it off.

Love the video and products! With your foam cannon, is it connected to regular water hose, or is that the pressure washer you're using?
My MTM Foam Cannon is connected to my Kranzle 1122TST pressure washer.
Karcher does have cold water electric power washers that are very pricey and amazingly look very similar to the Kranzle models that are shown at the "Kranzle USA website"! (Y)

Pan, what screw in insert are you using on your MTM??? I’ve been told most people just completely screw the little insert out!
I use what ever came with my PF22 foam cannon. It works great.
Pan why don't you just use Turtle Wax Seal And Shine on top of your 3 coats of ceramic coating... then you wouldn't have to be as cautious of what you use for maintenance washes.
Seal N Shine isn’t really designed to be used as a topper over existing ceramic coatings. It’s more of a paint sealant than a ceramic spray.

Merci Éric! Pour le Poly Gloss, tu peux l'utiliser une fois par mois. Reload dure plus longtemps. Mais le Poly Gloss est plus versatile car il est compatible avec cires, scellants et céramiques.

You can use this product with a foam gun and garden hose, yes. Just don’t expect the same thick/rich foam you would get with a pressure washer/foam cannon setup.

Hi, after applying the foaming surface wash and letting it dwell, why not just proceed with a contact wash before rinsing off the product. Seems like it would save a step in the process.
There are many ways of doing things. Some like to foam, wash. Some like to rinse, foam, rinse, foam, wash. Some like to rinse, foam, wash. What ever works for you.

Sure, but keep in mind a snow foam alone won't fully clean a car. Snow foams are meant to lift and encapsulate loose dirt and debris, and lubricate the surface before the contact wash (less chances of marring the paint). You always have to follow up with a contact wash.

Would you say that having your car ceramic coated helped out a lot with this wash? What if you used gold class would it have done the same?
A ceramic coating helps with everything. But I always use coated cars for my tests so my baseline stays the same. When something stands out, I see it right away.

Pan - Looks like an ace product but I dont think it is available in the uk yet. I have a question for you. My beloved Golf R which I Coated with Cquartz was recently stolen! Miraculously i have got it back with only minor damage. it is having the front re sprayed. should I re coat the front or do the whole car??
Recoat the front. How long ago did you coat your car?

I'm not using these anymore as there have been so many great new snow foams released since that time. Things evolve quickly in the detailing world. I will be reviewing a few of my favourite new snow foams shortly so stay tuned.
Urgent Dear PAN.
I applied CQUK on my car on 15th of August and Parked the car in my Apartment complex basement. I did apply reload after an hour. Today i.e. On 17th of August I took my car outside and it rained. Should I wash my car to avoid water spots or what. Kindly Suggest me. I will be going out of city by train tomorrow and won't be able to wash it untill next Monday.
Reload is there to help against water spotting during the first week so you’re ok. Do not wash your car for the first week after applying the coating!

By the way when can I put the second coat and how.
It's too late now for a second coat. You're supposed to do the two coats BEFORE applying Reload. You apply the first coat, wait one hour, apply the second coat, wait one hour, then apply Reload.
But it's not the end of the world. In six months, to boost your coating's performance, you can apply a layer of CarPro Gliss top coat. I have a tutorial on that here: ruclips.net/video/d2wDvUIYrtw/видео.html
What would be the dilution ratio you suggest for the ik foam pro 12
I don’t use the IK Foam Pro 12 for that so you would have to do some testing to figure it out. Or write to Griot’s Garage and ask them for advice.

This is a snow foam. CarPro Reset is meant to be used as a shampoo.
What does griots say about using this in direct sunlight?
Any product manufacturer pretty much always recommends using detailing products in the shade (or in a garage), on cool surfaces and well ventilated spaces. That's because they can't ensure that everyone using their products has enough experience or knowledge to work under direct sunlight and still get great results.
I have personally used this in direct sunlight and never had issues. It's a simple matter of not letting the product dry on the paint, and control your dwell time.
Can these products be used on a car with a PPF like Suntek Ultra?

Hey Pan, can Griot's Garage Foaming Surface Wash be used with iK foam 1.5 or iK foam 9?

Hey Pan, this looks to be an awesome product. However, the only thing that differentiates the wash you did, it was done on your own car with 3 layers of ceramic. Whereas the majority of those who will use this, may not have the level of protection you added to your car.
Any chance you could do a video demo on a more generically protected car, ie: Wax or SiO2 sealant?
As I said, this is a system that's great on well maintained cars. I'll see if I get to do a car that doesn't have multiple ceramic layers. Most of my customers go for the total package like on my car.

Great for strip washes. Just keep in mind strip washes alone won't fully remove previous protections. Machine polishing is what ensures 100% removal of any previous protection, a key aspect before applying a ceramic coating for example.

No I don't have clear bra (PPF) as I don't like the look or feel of PPF.

No. You at the very least need a foam gun attachment to fit your garden hose.
