Hi Pan. I was just revisiting this video now that I have a much better understanding of how all this works... thank again for always bridging the gaps. A lot of the product I use now are due to your in-depth reviews. For washing I do use Griots foaming wash and normal car wash. I wanted to ask you about using Poly Gloss. I of course use Beadmaker due to yours and many others recommendation. Would Ploy Gloss still be a part of the process? I know stacking products is usually counterproductive it was wondering if a waxed car would benefit from using a Poly Gloss foaming stage followed by using Beadmaker as a drying agent as I normally do? Thanks as always.
If you use Bead Maker, skip Poly Gloss. Bead Maker has superior gloss and slickness. Poly Gloss is more for those who want to add a bit of gloss super quickly by just spraying and rinsing their car in less than one or two minutes.
This does a pretty good job for not even have to hand wash at all! Have you seen the Griot's Glass Polish? I want to try that too, but I already have GTechniq's EXO on my windshield. I don't want to ruin that coating...but then I think it might add to it as well.

Hey Pan. I'm not trying to knock anything but it's hard to tell a difference when your cars paint is in great shape. Can you make a video using the products from this video on a dirty car? Thank & like I said I'm not trying to be rude by all means.
These are maintenance products for cars that are well maintained. Not dirty cars. I wash mine twice weekly and it never really gets past the dirt level you saw in the video. No pre-wash will actually completely wash your car if it's heavily soiled.
@Pan TheOrganizer It looks like more than 18 ounces (532 ml) of water. That quantity of water in my MTM foam cannon is at about the middle of the indent in the canister, lower than what you're showing.
I don't know what else to tell you. I measure the quantities. 18 oz of water and 2 oz of product. Total solution of 20 oz. Where are you going with this anyways?
Hi Pan, last week, I washed, clayed , applied Griots correcting cream and waxed My question is I want to try Griots ceramic spray wax, do I need to strip the wax of and if yes what product to use. Thanks for your help 🙏
You could just use the Griot's Ceramic Spray Wax on top if you wanted. No need to strip off your existing protection. That spray isn't a true ceramic coating from a glass bottle, so the prep isn't as important.
Hello Pan, Your experience with and enthusiasm for the Griot’s Garage BOSS was system suggests that the two products are excellent. As of today (27-Dec-2022) how do these two products stack up against the product lines from Bilt Hamber’s CarPro, Adam’s and P&S?
This video was produced in August 2018, so needless to say that so much has changed in the detailing world since then. Griot's produces good products, but its main competitor is more Adam's Polishes and the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions high end line in my opinion. Professional brands like P&S, CarPro, Gtechniq and Gyeon are on another level. Watch my 2022 car detailing products awards video to find out my top picks in all product categories. ;)
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you, Pan. Well, you and Jeremy from Hawaii Detail have been quite influential. I regularly use Bilt Hamber Touchless and P&S Pearl are my foams of choice. For any correction work I’m fine with Essence and The Last Coat’s Final Polish to suit my personal needs. Based on what I saw you and your brother do with his car, I’m applying Avalon King Armor Shield XI to my wife’s tomorrow. When it came to my Nissan Frontier and Mercedes E350, CQuartz UK 3 was my choice. But, you again helped me make that choice. You were again a positive influence in that I regularly use a variety of CarPro, Adams, and P&S products on my truck, car, and my motorcycles. I sincerely thank you and appreciate your thorough and informative videos. BTW, based on your video I created my blend of Bead Maker and Dream Maker to reduce dust. Keep up the great work, Pan. The “every day man” is your beneficiary.
@@PanTheOrganizer Jeremy is very entertaining, informative, and posses a fantastic sense of humor. Consequently, I find his videos quite captivating and motivational.
I have heard some people had issues with the poly coat bonding to other things i.e their power washer, driveway, towels and such. Has anyone else had this experience?
Pam, is there a reason you only filled your foam cannon with only 18 ounces of water when using the poly gloss? The bottle only looked half full. Just trying to find the perfect water to poly ratio. Thanks and great video.
Hi! (My name is Pan, not Pam hehehe). I simply don't need much solution to cover my car, so a total solution of 20 oz (2 oz of Poly Gloss and 18 oz of water) is more than enough. That is a 1:9 ratio. Thanks for watching!
So can you say that the Poly Gloss throws out the need for say CarPro Reload? Since Reload would restore the hydrophobicity to your ceramic coating, would the Poly Gloss be a good substitute?
Surface Wash is a snow-foam used in the pre-wash stage, like a shampoo. Poly Gloss is made to add a bit of protection and hydrophobic properties to the paint.
Hi pan could you use this product as a final sealant? As in once you have done your full detail on the paint and trim and glass then use this product as a sealant to protect it all? I get it’s not going to last weeks or months but to add that pop for the customer when they come to collect it and it’s easy to do spray on and rinse off
Is it only a maintainence protection product? Will it work on a car that has no protection at all, for example after claying a vehicle? And if so can you expect up to 3 months of protection out of it like it says?
Yes it will work on a car that has no protection. Just don't expect many months of protection. The durability also depends on a ton of factors like prep, maintenance, application, conditions your vehicle is submitted to, etc.
Hi, slight tangent whenever I polish my car I cannot get rid of swirls i use a dual action polisher with Maguires compound but every time I wipe away the polished area it's always swirly also I find the polish hard to remove you really have to wipe hard to get rid of some bits. I go left to right up and down twice I don't apply to much pressure am I right in thinking if I polish that area I'll seal in those swirls?
I've never really been a part of the camp that bothers foaming/soaking my vehicles but it's difficult to argue with these results. Completely touchless and I don't see a speck of anything on that car; were the bugs in P1 completely removed without any agitation whatsoever?
Yes the bugs were completely removed without agitation. But don't forget there's also the pressure washer in the mix. On a coated car, a pressure washer can remove a lot of bugs and dirt on its own. The Griot's Garage Surface Wash brought that to another level by further lifting loose dirt and contaminants off the paint. My car is well maintained and that's one thing I spoke about in the video. The GG system is a great maintenance system for well maintained cars. I detail my car twice weekly. It wouldn't make miracles on a super dirty or heavily soiled car.
Hello Pan Im using 007 Gloss Enhancer when drying I know you liked it - The question is - I also have that Boss system do you recommend use the drying aid 007 after the poly gloss? Or it would be too much? Or Skip the poly gloss from time to time?
So if you wax car... at maintenance washes do you wash with griots wash. Next step should be griots wax then poly gloss or poly gloss then griots cannon wax?
I'm not sure I fully understand your question. Before applying the Poly Gloss, you would wash your car with a shampoo, or the Griot's Garage Foaming Surface wash which I demonstrated here: ruclips.net/video/t8mCnIWXAoY/видео.html
Is poly gloss in the same category as bead maker or hybrid cermaic wax but in a different form of application? If so how does poly gloss compete with others? Thanks!
Poly Gloss is in a weird new category of spray-on and rinse off paint protectants, so no it's not like Bead Maker. Bead Maker has better gloss and slickness compared to Poly Gloss. But Poly Gloss is way quicker to apply. Cool product.
Hi Pan, my car has a ceramic coating (I have crystal serum ultra by gtechniq). I have both Griots Poly Gloss used in this video, and I have the Gtechniq C2v3 product. Foaming poly gloss seems easier to apply by using a foam cannon, but does poly gloss reduce the performance of the ceramic coating? Would C2v3 be a better performing protectant for me since I have a ceramic coating?
It will alter the properties of the coating yes, so a ceramic based topper like C2V3 is a better choice. If you want ceramic protection top up in a simple spray on, rinse off manner, go for Gyeon WetCoat or CarPro HydrO2 Lite. Those are awesome and should give you 1-3 months of protection like C2V3.
Pan, how important is GPM in pressure washers? I believe I heard you say once that 2gpm was really important with the foam cannon but in another video you talked about your pressure washer for years being a Karcher K5 which is only 1.4gpm. Your Kränzle is really nice but way out of my price range.
Anything over 1.3 gpm is good enough. My K5 Karcher at 1.4-1.5 gpm was still great. It’s just that foaming with my 2.1 gpm Kranzle is even better. Either one is a great choice for washing cars.
Hi Pan a little off topic but how can you tell if your car has had ceramic coating on it ? I ask as I'm getting a new car and they have told me it will be ceramic coated as part of the deal . Thanks .
You would use Surface wash first. That’s the pre-wash. Then, your regular car soap with mitt and buckets for the contact wash. You finish with a layer of Poly Gloss for some protection and gloss.
Pan as always thank for all the great video's. My question is after talking with the Distributors of Car pro Products here in USA, they informed me that they wouldn't recommend the Poly Gloss on ceramic coated car. If this puts any type of a coating onto your ceramic coated car it will not interact well if after you wash your vehicle & are going to put say Reload on. It might not either bond or not inter act well based on what is in the Poly Gloss.. they also said you may be able to use it as a stand along & it may give you some more gloss. Please advise with your thoughts.
Hi Kevin. Yes it alters the feel of the coating but in my testing it boosts gloss for sure. I didn’t see any negative points. Plus I use CarPro Reset shampoo every third wash and that takes care of restoring my coating’s performance. The beauty of Poly Gloss lies behind its ease of application.
No. Foam guns attached to garden hoses will never generate the same amount of rich and thick foam as a foam cannon and a pressure washer can. If it could, nobody would buy pressure washers and foam cannons... It's the nature of the beast. You got a pressurized water pumping out 1.5 to 2.5 gallons per minute of water, a key factor in creating rich foam.
@@PanTheOrganizer well I guess what I should have asked was will this product do what it's intended like as far as protect and enhance gloss with using a foam gun. Like the reason I ask is because I know it's not going to coat the vehicle with a shaving cream like layer using a foam gun I just wasn't sure if I would be able to get the protective properties when using it in a foam gun since the mixture wouldnt cling to the surface as well as it would with a foam cannon
Shaded area. I noticed also from everyone else's videos that it seems some what watery such as mine once applied. But autofanatics video shows it foam up like snow foam does. 2.8gpm 3k psi, cg big mouth cannon here, used with 2.5oz pg. I just don't understand.

How did you discover my channel Carlton?
Thanks for the share Pan, how soon till your 2018 product awards? Thanks Kurt from the Burgh.
I’m working on it! :)
Hello paaaaann !!! J’adore les produits où il y a juste à regarder !
😂😂👍🏻
That is some amazing product, thanks for sharing. How would you set up your mobile detail if you were to do one?
The results look amazing. It's too bad I can't try it. Apparently the sellers on amazon can't ship to Hawaii. Needs "special handling".
Awesome vid as usual Mr. Pan.
Off topic. But have u heard of a product called QP ON ceramic system? If so, what’s your thoughts on it?
Yes I’ve heard about it. My understanding is that’s it’s similar to HydroSilex I recently reviewed.
I wonder if you could just add a little of this into your wash bucket and have the same effect?
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you very much, really appreciate your prompt reply. What’s your opinion about rinse-less wash?
Pan Pan Pan. What happened to PAAAAANNNN the organizer?lol.
😂😂👍🏻
Hello Pan,
Your experience with and enthusiasm for the Griot’s Garage BOSS was system suggests that the two products are excellent.

Thank you, Pan.
Thanks David!! I will try to make a collaboration with Jeremy from Hawaii Detail. That would be a cool video! :)
@@PanTheOrganizer
Jeremy is very entertaining, informative, and posses a fantastic sense of humor. Consequently, I find his videos quite captivating and motivational.
Superb! Beautiful car :-)
Thanks Andrew!
Sounds like a good product but how many ppl are washing and drying their car and then washing it again?
Thanks Pan for another great video! One question, with how many psi/bar pressure does your Kranzle work to rinse your car?
I set it for 1100 psi
Pan TheOrganizer Thanks!
That looks amazing.
Yup!
So after you foamed your car with the surface wash and rinsed it off, what soap did you use for the contact wash? Thank you!

Hi Pan! Can you use the Poly Glass and then use a quick detailer to dry the car or would they compete with one another? Thanks!
It would be ok. But after using Poly Gloss, you could just use a car dryer or leaf blower to dry the car quickly, as water will fly off easily.
This combo looks awesome. Too bad it's impossible to get in Europe. If someone knows how, I'd appreciate the link to that store :)
37deg in Canada wow when I think of Canada I think of snow, salt and winter tires lol
Lolol. Yeah we have the extremes here... -30 in winter and +35 in summer!
@@PanTheOrganizer That's crazy. Our average winter temp in Sydney is 20deg😂
Omg 😂😂😂
@@PanTheOrganizer hahaha No wonder I love living here😂😂😂
I have heard some people had issues with the poly coat bonding to other things i.e their power washer, driveway, towels and such. Has anyone else had this experience?
Pan...how do you detail a soft top with a foam cannon? Do you avoid the roof?
Yes. I think Reload will last longer though. But Poly Gloss is easier to apply.
I saw the video well.
Whats the difference between BOSS Foaming Surface Wash and the poly gloss?????
Surface Wash is a snow-foam used in the pre-wash stage, like a shampoo. Poly Gloss is made to add a bit of protection and hydrophobic properties to the paint.
Hi pan could you use this product as a final sealant? As in once you have done your full detail on the paint and trim and glass then use this product as a sealant to protect it all?
I get it’s not going to last weeks or months but to add that pop for the customer when they come to collect it and it’s easy to do spray on and rinse off
I see Poly Gloss as part of a final touch after a maintenance wash. Slightly increase protection and gloss. Super easy to apply. Fun to use.
Ça serait cool que tu fasses un nettoyage d'une auto VRAIMENT SALE genre une restoration satisfaisante!!
The foaming gloss product looks good. Does any other band has the similar product which can be purchased in Australia? Thanks
I don't think I've seen a product that is exactly like this yet. It was specially formulated by Griot's Garage this entire system.
Pan, what ceramic coating do you recommend for a novice detailer?
Hello Pan
Im using 007 Gloss Enhancer when drying I know you liked it - The question is - I also have that Boss system do you recommend use the drying aid 007 after the poly gloss? Or it would be too much? Or Skip the poly gloss from time to time?
That's overkill. Choose one or the other.
Thanks for the Reply Man! What about Bead maker ? Would it affect the gloss??
So if you wax car... at maintenance washes do you
wash with griots wash.
@@PanTheOrganizer should you apply both griots wax and poly gloss. And if so in what order is wax top coat or polygloss top coat.
Hey Pan, i'm looking into purchasing a dryer but i'm on a tight budget. would you recommend the blaster sidekick?
Absolutely! I used the Blaster Sidekick for years before upgrading to my Master Blaster Revolution.
What is your favourite car wash soap for the contact wash step?
You’ll find out in my upcoming 2018 car detailing products awards video!
Hey Pan any word on when the Auto Fanatic wheel cleaner will come out to the public.
I don’t know yet.
@@PanTheOrganizer awesome, thank you Pan. I greatly appreciate it!
👍🏻
Thanks .
You should watch my video where I fully detail my brand new 2018 BMW M550i here: ruclips.net/video/dsCmJJDP3xo/видео.html
Hi my question is for a car that needs a good wash what type of soap do you use before soap foam. I just got the 2 foams and want to do it correctly
You would use Surface wash first. That’s the pre-wash. Then, your regular car soap with mitt and buckets for the contact wash. You finish with a layer of Poly Gloss for some protection and gloss.
Hi, what is your “favourite car shampoo “ please?
Watch my 2018 car detailing products awards video to find out all my favourite products: ruclips.net/video/pa6nCetmoDs/видео.html
Just saw Acc0rd79's video. Looks like you have a better foam cannon. Looks like the whole system is out of stock.
Darrell Dennis both use different foam cannon. But Pan use better one, hence better foaming
The MTM PF22 foam cannon is the one to get for a pressure washer. Nothing better.
Can you add tire shine after Poli gloss?
Will it bead the tire shine after foaming tires?
Yes you can apply tire dressings. I always do.
Existe il une protection pour alcantara ? j ai trouvé un imperméabilisent que me conseil tu
@@PanTheOrganizer Curious, if you only use CarPro Reset every third wash, what do you use for the in-between washes?
Hey Pan I was wondering if you can get the same results using this product in a foam gun?
It does boost gloss yes.
Hi pan. When I use the poly gloss, rinse then blow-dry, I see tiger stripes down the sides of the black car.. What am I doing incorrectly?
Were you applying it in direct sunlight?
Shaded area. I noticed also from everyone else's videos that it seems some what watery such as mine once applied. But autofanatics video shows it foam up like snow foam does. 2.8gpm 3k psi, cg big mouth cannon here, used with 2.5oz pg. I just don't understand.
What Is your favorite soap...i keep waiting for you to say it.
