CarPlay® Android Auto® demo in Volvo S60 S80 V40 V60 XC60 2015 2016 2017 2018 with GROM VLine VOLSC

- In this video we show how CarPlay® and Android Auto® work in Volvo S60 2015-2018 with VLine VL2 Infotainment and Navigation System. The system is compatible with Volvo S 60, S80, V40, V60, XC60 2015-2018 that have Sensus Connect 7-inch screen and Internet / Globe button.
You can see how the CarPlay and Android Auto functions are seamlessly integrated to Volvo factory car stereo, and OEM functions such as factory backup camera, keep working. In this particular install we also used touchscreen overlay to add the reflective touchscreen capability to the set up. The touchscreen is not necessary as the system fully works with the factory knob control, however it is recommended for additional convenience.
Once VLine VL2 is installed into the vehicle, the user can enjoy modern features such as CarPlay, Android Auto, and fully functional Android interface directly on the factory car stereo screen, without the need to replace the factory screen.
The system is fully integrated into the existing factory system, and works with Volvo factory joystick controls, buttons and steering wheel controls. Factory backup camera and climate controls keep working! The touchscreen overlay adds extra convenient touchscreen functionality to the factory stereo screen.

Vline VL2 system is an Android-based car infotainment add-on that integrates into many cars' factory (OEM) stereos. It works seamlessly with the existing car stereo screen/display, sound system, and buttons/controls.
Once VLine VL2 is installed and connected to your vehicle's OEM stereo and display system, you will get the following functionality:

All factory features remain functional with the installation of our VLine VL2 system. You can easily switch back and forth between the backup camera, FM radio, VLine and your CarPlay or Android Auto interface.
GROM VLine VL2 connects at the back of the factory stereo and integrates with the car stereo controls, buttons and display.

When adjusting the Air conditioning temperature or heated seats, will the changes be visible while in Android auto, or will i have to back out to the Volvo UI to see the changes?
You can see the AC temperature, it will overlay over the Android Auto. You will need to go back to the Volvo UI if you want to see the heated seats information.
I have no sound after install???
Can you operate CarPlay fully through the factory console / steering wheel controls or must you use the touch screen input for some functions?
Yes you can operate the CarPlay fully using the knob and the steering wheel controls. Touchscreen adds extra convenience, but it is not required.
Sound quality wise, what DAC chip is inside VL2?

Any upgrades for '05 S40t5?
