- I've been building some digitgrade dragon stilts for a costume for a local renaissance fair. Here is the current progress of the feet, as well as the super-motion tail I created.
This video is purely to show off the movement of the two mechanisms.

Haha, I've lived at the same house for over 20 years now, and at this point my artwork now takes over 2 whole rooms
@Soft mocha 0_0 you can start at any time, honestly. You can’t really start commissions yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make anything at all. I am also a minor furry, and I make tails, paws, and heads for myself. Just remember to be safe, and careful, as it can be a dangerous hobby with hot glue, scissors, and other things. Good luck!
I'd love to see how you constructed these. My fursona needs feet like these, but I had no idea where to start on finding the right shape for him, but what you've done looks possibly perfect to what I'll need to make for him.
I hope to re-make them in the near future so they are far more streamlined.
These ones ended up being ridiculously chunky and clunky.

Ok... I know this vid is 4 years old but it reminded me if a question I've had for a while... if someone already has digi stilts that they are comfortable using would you be willing (to attempt) to form a suit around the stilts ? Or would you prefer to make your own digi stilts to better fit your suit style? Or just not use stilts at all? Just curious
That would be a very interesting challenge.

I did draft a 2.0 pattern, but haven't gotten around to testing it yet

The flexion and extension of the toes throughout the range of motion of a walking and running gait is EVERYTHING when it comes to pulling off the illusion and suspending disbelief. You are on the right track! Well done! The challenge must be to get the toes to extend fully and out of the way on the footfall so they don't get caught underfoot. I am having similar challenges.

Likely not, as I haven't refinded this enough to advise others how to make it.
It's very impressive how toes can flex in this model, It's very annoying to see all those static feet on realistic costumes.
3things:
1: can things that are articulated Luke that be furred?
2: tutorial and or pattern for the stilt, not foam part?
3: what are the average price you charge for these?

A much easier way to make digigrade legs is to not make stilts, and just make the feet paws and legs.

It's mostly on your toes that you feel any strain

Are these still available? I’m looking around for ideas on how to do these kinds of feet, and yours fits the best for dragons.
The fat paws everyone else has are nice and cute, but I need thin claws

Honestly, I would recommend looking into professionally built stilts if you intend to wear them for more than a few minutes at a time. @@Sgtnolisten

These were VERY CLUNKY and ended up looking awful.

You should do a video of these.
The digis are cool but the tail needs some for of stability at the tip.
At the time, this was still just an unfinished test. These have since been completed. :)
