    In this video, I react to Finding Sky's video titled "I'm Gay and I Dislike the LGBT Community..." where she discusses her perspective as a lesbian who feels disconnected from the modern LGBT movement. This is a deep and thought-provoking conversation that touches on identity, community, and personal experiences.
    Let's explore her reasoning, the challenges she faces, and my own thoughts on this complex topic. Can someone be a part of the LGBT community but disagree with certain aspects? Join me as we unpack it all!

People are becoming more and more phobic due to the community's actions and we the ones who just want to live our lives are the ones that suffer for it. And I think labeling all LGBT people as predators is wrong, but seeing people walk around public in the buff and brandishing seggs toys where there are minors present I understand why people make such a generalization even if I disagree with it.

    One big problem I have with the LGBT community is how the trans portion keeps attemping to classify "Femboys" and "Tomboys" as Trans/Eggs. It feels genuinely insulting and completely hypocritical for them to make a big deal about people not listening to what they wish to identify as, only for them to do the same to those groups as well.

    • @cantinadudes
      @cantinadudes 9 дней назад +1

      That is a thing because gender is a social construct defined by gender roles. I've talked to many trans people and they're almost always saying that they dont "feel like a girl" because they dont like pink clothes and would rather wear "boys clothes" or the other way around. Very rarely do i hear them actually having a problem with their body just cause. Its almost always tied to society and how boys and girls are treated differently in society.
      Going by that definition almost no one is cis, especially not tomboys/femboys. I am kinda a transhumanist so i'm still in favor of giving surgery to people who want to change their body, i just dont think its appropriate to call it healthcare. And if the problem is truly only your style/personality then the problem isnt you but the disgusting sexist expectations you get exposed to in society. I think it'd be better to defy those expectations instead of confirming them by saying you're a different gender.
      Thats however a view not many people share. Especially the trans people i talked to. It is sad.

      @@cantinadudes Shall use my personal viewpoint to explain some stuff. Long reply, because I'm dumb and I'm responding to a random RUclips comment hoping I *might* be able to change someone's mind. And I want to give the topic the words it's worth, because it's very personal to me. Anyway...
      Am trans. I very much have a problem with specifically my body; that's the *main* thing I'm transitioning for. Fem clothes are just a thing I may or may not take an interest in - like, if I like them, think they'll be comfortable and/or I wanna look pretty in them. Sometimes, I'll enjoy feminine things to help myself feel better - kinda like, affirming myself I guess. This (main reasoning being physical, social stuff and clothes being literally just interests or a self-mental-health-boost that some people like or need) is how most trans people are, in my own experience (really, genuinely, speaking from being in multiple big Discord servers around trans things). Really, dysphoria is not fun. The reason we're trying to call it healthcare is because not being able to transition due to outside factors (family, money, laws/governments, medical systems, etc), causes a *lot* of suffering for a *lot* of people. And that is a massive understatement; I cannot overstate the amount of and/or variety of misery dysphoria and living as the "wrong" gender can cause, directly or indirectly (I have personal experience of how bad that can get, which I won't elaborate on too much here). I simply do not feel comfortable in my own body in any way (or at least, I didn't until starting HRT - where it's now totally just getting progressively super way better, and my body is changing naturally, and it's amazing, and I love it). Social stuff, whilst a decent factor that definitely would make me feel way better from fitting into society as the kind of person I've always kinda wanted to be, and the way I want to be seen, isn't my primary reason for transitioning.
      Just to add: You don't *have* to have dysphoria to be trans, though - even if it was a big factor for me personally - since "I feel much more comfortable as a girl" is still a totally valid reason to want to be one so long as you're sure of it, even if you don't have the "I feel uncomfortable as a guy" part. On that note, though I'm less certain about it... If someone really will feel amazing and have a better life solely from the social aspect of transitioning somehow or identifying as another gender perhaps, then that sounds great for them; who am I to discern their feelings for them? I sometimes have trouble understanding certain nonbinary stuff (people, concepts), with me being so binarily trans... But, I want to accept them regardless (I have no reason not to, after all) - and, maybe something like this, is a factor in how they feel. I probably still have some quirks to figure out in my thinking before I understand, but I'm betting that they're just as valid as I am.
      Responding to the OP a little: I actually totally advocate for femboys and tomboys (they're really cool), and am (or at least definitely try to be) pretty reserved with labelling them as "eggs" in my head... Because "not being recognised or respected as how you identify and want to be seen" is kinda something that sucks for us a lot, too. Yet also, there's totally a lot of femboys, tomboys and otherwise who actually do end up figuring out that they're probably trans, possibly secretly might've had dysphoria they just hadn't recognised yet, and decide they'll be happier transitioning - maybe sometimes even only realising after starting HRT for like 6 months. It's definitely very awkward to label someone an egg when that person doesn't feel anything like that at all, but - it's often from people's experiences or bias that might have something to do with their own transition... So, I kinda understand, sometimes. Nobody's perfect. I try not to do it myself unless I'm *sure.* Like, someone actually *saying* they wanna be the opposite gender, wholly and/or enthusiastically. *Then,* I would label them an egg in my head.
      That's all I have to reply with for now. Trying not to be overly harsh with my words now. Just - try to keep an open mind, pretty please. Sometimes trans people are stupid, and act like the nazis they call other people... *On Twitter.* Just like anyone else, *on Twitter.* We're going through enough already, with our own issues - not to even mention people around the world (or at least the internet) seemingly hating us more and more vocally, and the whole US thing with people being banned from affirming care in certain states, or the mistreatment by governments and medical systems around the world, or the fact that a lot of us risk losing family and friends just simply by coming out at all, etc etc etc etc. Jeez... Anyway. I have a weak spot for responding to comments that lean towards only misunderstanding trans people and their motivations, instead of just blindly hating them... So, I responded way too much, after all. I'll just move on and hope either no one sees this, or I'm able to change someone's mind a little. Also - yeah, transhumanism is totally like, awesome and stuff.

      @cantinadudes 8 дней назад +2

      @@WedgeOfHeaven first, thanks for your reply. I'm sure with the way i worded some stuff its not that easy to formulate a response as educative and comprehensive as yours.
      I have to admit i screwed up when explaining my view on transitioning a bit. For people like you, who genuinely just have a problem with their body and it causes them pain, i think its appropriate to call it healthcare. Where i do think its inappropriate is for people who mainly have an issue with the societal image, rather than their body. Sometimes the problem with the societal image of their sex (aka gender roles) is what drives them to despise their body. As i said, i'm basing this off of conversations i had with people who actually identify themself as trans. Some of them actually said to me that if it wasnt for stereotypes such as girls only wearing dresses and being interested in "girly stuff" or guys being interested "guys stuff" then they wouldn't want to change their body and be happy as it is.
      I've asked a lot of people who identify as some form of non-binary that and i pretty much always get the same answer. I have also spent a lot of time within the community and never got a different explaination.
      I just want you to know, when it comes to binary trans stuff, that i am 100% behind you in most cases. I simply shake my head when it comes to the concept of "gender spectrum", because as far as i've understood it, pretty much everyone would qualify as non-cis if you go by the common theory, which is, from what i believe, the reason for why you sometimes see entire school classes become trans roughly at the same time they're extensively exposed to trans-theories (have actually observed this happening at a school, like 20 kids suddenly identified as trans when they had, self admittedly, no feelings like that before)
      Idk i just think we should abandone the concept of gender altogether. I think we should focus on sex and if somebody has a problem with their sex then they should have a right to change that. Regardless of the reasoning behind it. I simply think right now there is too much collective confusion and not enough ressources to not prioritize people who have a lot of science backing them. People like you.
      Also, i think saying "you dont have to be dysphoric" is problematic, as it opens the gates to all kinds of people. I know that it wont be the majority of people that would be "accepted" into the community like this, but a small percentage of creeps will abuse it. By that logic someone could just say that they're a woman to get into womens safe spaces. That'd be great for actual trans women, but it'd also open the gates for creeps and criminals who just want to abuse the system.
      I'm not saying that that'd be the norm among trans people, i'm simply saying that it is a considerable factor. Gatekeeping is important for a community, and if you say anyone can identify as anything, without any reason other than their word, then it dooms the entire cause imo. You have to set some barrier, and for me that barrier rn is at the neurological level. You probably know that trans women actually have female brains and trans men have male brains. I think it is a very good barrier, at least for now.
      Again i dont have anything against people changing their bodies as they see fit, so even if somebody identifies as some non-binary stuff, i think its their right to change their body, i simply dont view it as healthcare in that case. Instead i view it as bodymod, which is fine by me, i simply can't support/understand the underlying motivation.
      The only part where i stop being an ally is when it comes to pronouns. I think its silly to use pronouns for gender, instead it should be used for sex and only be changed once a person starts undergoing a sex change. Pronouns are meant to be practical and if my understanding is correct, everyone's a little trans/non-cis, so to use individual pronouns, like neo-pronouns or even they/them, i think it kinda defeats the purpose of them and makes it unpractical. Matching what you're called to your personality is what names and nicknames are for, not pronouns. I hope everyone reading this understand that i'm not trying to undermine people's identities, i'm simply saying it is silly to make your pronouns a key part of your identity. You are you and if you dont fit into the binary ideas of what a man or a woman should be like thats totally fine. I'm simply saying it is not practical to use different pronouns than he/him and she/her.
      I hope you can understand my position. I support trans rights when it comes to everything except neo-pronouns and child transitions. There are/were websites selling DIY HRT with labels such as "keep away from parents" and they were very colorful so clearly targetted towards kids. Such a thing i find inhumane. And since there's a lot of grooming going on in the community (not saying trans people are groomers, just that there are a couple of high profile cases) i think anything that has to do with trans related to kids should be viewed critically. Not prohibited, just analyzed carefully and critically
      So yea... hope you understand. I wish you the best of luck on your transition journey and that you'll be happy

      To be fair the definition of Tomboy has changed over time. Also, Marle is supposed to be the princess of an entire kingdom, going outside the castle on her own with no retinue, not wearing a fancy dress and mingling with the common rabble is very much tomboyish for her standards, but when you look at Lucca, she’s pretty much the same but she doesn’t get the same distinction. Which is interesting because between her and Marle, I’d argue Lucca looks and behaves more ‘boy-ish’, even her name is one letter away from being a male name.

    Of course, you can be gay and not take part in pride parades. And there are actual problems involved in LGBT groups. But majority of people who are against it aren't against it purely because of the group. They hate it because they're against homosexual/trans people as a whole.

    "You can be for there being freedoms for gay people simultaneously while criticizing the whole uh concept of like Pride."
    The problem is you wholly mischaracterize what pride is by solely associating it as a tool for public degeneracy. The vast majority of people who care about pride very obviously do so in small, undramatic ways as a means to affirm their identities in societies that want nothing more than to silence them. Finding Sky using her own anecdotes as a means to say everyone should feel tolerated now so get over it is disturbingly stupid. LGBT people face violence to this day without needing to "shove it down everyone's throat" as the sentiment goes.
    And on another note a MAGA boat parade was literally just hijacked by Neo Nazis and even though I dislike republicans I can at least parse the nuance that most aren't like that even if they do keep popping up to support Trump. Any and all degenerates that break the law should be held accountable for it, your willingness to let them paint the narrative of a cause however stems from your own deeper issues with the movement as a whole. Which is why you point out the whole "don't make gay you entire personality" thing as if that warrants any kind of disdain at all.

Most people don’t care if you are trans or gay or what not. As long as you live your life and don’t groom kids nobody outside of the ultra strict religious types will give a damn. Normal trans people get their surgeries and blend in so well it’s hard to tell but 95% of the community is attention seeking mentally unwell types. Normal trans people don’t go to events in kink gear twerking in front of kids or trying to force trans teachings upon elementary schoolers desperately wanting to teach them about kinks and sex. That’s grooming. And when Florida passed a bill for death penalty for child rape of course you had LGBTQ outlets putting articles out about how it’s gonna impact the LGBTQ community. When I see that with the UCLA study that showed LGBTQ types made up over 20% of people on the sex offender registry despite only being 7% of the population it really put me off and them wanting to teach kids and expose them to this shit made sense. If you are a normal person trans or gay nobody would give a damn.
