POT Ceramics Studio in Los Angeles | My City ft. Roy Choi

Roy Choi (@chefroychoi) is a chef and owner of the successful gourmet Korean-Mexican taco truck Kogi (@kogibbq). In Square's small business entrepreneurship series, My City, Roy Choi introduces us to three of his favorite LA business owners that are dedicated to building neighborhood community and serving local customers.
In Episode 2, we meet Mandy Kohlani, minority small business owner and founder of the full-service pottery studio POT (@POTstudioLA) in Echo Park LA. Mandy is Iranian and as a POC business owner, she tries to provide a pottery studio experience tailored to the long-time residents of her neighborhood. Her goal with POT studio is to build a small business from the ground up and have a highly accessible pottery studio plan with tons of classes and workshops for her Echo Park community. Mandy tailors pottery classes, pricing, and access to people of her neighborhood. To reverse or reclaim some of the Echo Park gentrification, classes are offered for free or on a sliding scale.
