You can tell he does everything the LEGIT WAY. Kitchen cleaned everyday, fresh chicken, and a real passion for what he does. Gordon Ramsay would be proud. 🙌🏼
Gordon Ramsey is not the MVP of chefs . His restaurants have had scandals. Clearly you have not heard in the states. Lol He is overrated and a palm coloured hater. He would not wash his chicken nor does he promote it. Like most Europeans they do not believe in washing meat. 😂😂😂
You can tell he puts love into his food, and passing down the knowledge to his kids priceless 🙏
I want everyone to be like this guy. Loves his craft and knows people like what he does. He's the chicken guy.
This man speaks with such passion and love for the business! I love it
I love this brother, and his passion for his craft. He’s a master chef and he’s definitely necessary. In addition I admire his son for running with his father and being faithful to him.
This guy is so inspirational. You can really feel his passion for his food.
There's something special about food cooked in love. The passion of this old.man is so awesome. He describes his craft in a very splendid manner.
I love everything about this. The owner seemed so passionate and particular about his method. The fact that his son seemed to share that same passion for his fathers dream is super wholesome. I wish the best for these guys .
A true craftsman. Hard to find in these times. Unbelievable passion
Seeing someone that's so passionate at something is always a good motivation.
Never thought I'd have so much pride (to the point of tears) in a restaurant story. The way he embraces his roots & the amount of research done is phenomenal.
Everyone that was interviewed is an inspiration for doing things the right way. With care, passion and dedication. Cheers
I instantly liked this guy and his son and the love they have for what they do. 👍🏽
Quality ingredients, generational skill, and most importantly passionate great people. That’s what it takes to make truly great food. Thanks to this video this place is now a bucket list atop of mine. This man is so dedicated to his craft. I’m sure this chicken is insanely good.
It's so nice seeing hard working people that take so much pride in their work! Living on the East Coast I don't know if or when I'll be over on the west coast again but I'd love to come visit this establishment!
I love!!!! Honey’s Kettle. The chicken, biscuits, and the lemonade is amazing!. If your ever in Los Angeles make your way to honey’s Kettle. You won’t be disappointed!
It looks like ordinary fried chicken to me.
@Draper Scott dude this the best chicken and biscuits hands down
People said Texas BBQ was amazing. When I was stationed there, the food was poor. My BBQ is much better than anything I had there. This chicken looks average.
You need to try Fixins Soul Kitchen for regular style fried chicken .... and the waffles are beyond description good. New place but the food is without words great !!!!
Just ordered this chicken twice last week! There’s delivery available in West LA. I really thought they were the best fried chicken in LA even b4 this video.
That was one of the most enjoyable eats I have watched. More people need to interview him. That went by fast. His teaching and enthusiasm was top notch!
You can tell he’s so proud and passionate for his craft, it’s damn infectious. Respect
His passion in next level! What a great family and story. Loved this.
It’s always nice to see passionate people who are operating a family business !
Their fried 🍗 🐓 looks 🔥
Cheers from San Diego California
One day after this video came out, we just happened to be traveling to LA from Hong Kong and watched the video before we boarded our flight.
Just left Honey’s Kettle, and honestly the chicken exceeded our expectations. Vincent was in the shop himself too, so we got to shake his hand and take a picture. Please go and try this place if you’re in LA - it’s incredible.
man I really want some now
You can tell he has the passion for his cooking. This looks amazing!
I love it when someone is excited about his craft. Doesnt matter if its cooking chicken, or window cleaning or whatever, i love it.
A great father, businessman and passionate for his craft. Respect!
You gotta respect his process! He's got it down to a science. Passion, Quality, Technique, it's purely Fantastic 😅😍✊🏾💗🍗
He explained simple thing with so much complexity
Wow!! Looks amazing. Very inspiring father and son. Can’t wait to go. Greetings and respect to all from Durango Mexico 🇲🇽
The chicken and biscuits look incredible. You can really see the passion they have to produce high quality food. I hope someday to try this chicken.
What you mean the place if very dirty.
As a restaurant owner myself I can tell this man is the real deal! Most owners don't have to stay at their restaurant or even work there. But I can tell this man loves what he does and cares about his product. Next time I'm in LA (and that's where I grew up) I will definitely be stopping in this place.👍
So you think it's sanitary to put your raw chicken in the sink????
@@alexdumont6401 Many restaurants have sinks especially to rinse meat. They're usually not the same sink that you wash your dishes in or your hand washing sinks! But I'm guessing you know that since your commenting on it right?🤣
I know potatoes aren't unsanitary like chicken but many restaurants have special sinks to soak their French fries in. To get the starch out . Including in-and-out burgers. They are usually separate from their dishwashing sinks as well. You don't stay in business for that long if you're getting people sick.🤷♂️
@@alexdumont6401 ????
@@alexdumont6401 And by the way raw is spelled (RAW)!

I am from Compton and I remember eating this chicken every weekend. WOW!!! The liquid batter instead of the dry flour amazed me and I dont know of anyone else who used this technique. Me and my friends also ate a Golden Bird Chicken in Compton and I must say...Compton had the best fried chicken ON EARTH!!!
My favorite spot in LA. Happy they are getting the coverage they deserve.
This is so nice to see a family with so much pride for their product & the customer. Going to see you soon thank you.
I first looked them up years ago like 2012 and it’s still the best chicken I’ve ever had. I’m from Houston and will literally fly back to LA next month again to get this chicken
This dude big ballin🤣🤣
I’ve had so much fried chicken in my life and i always think about honey kettles fried chicken. The hot sauce and the honey with the biscuits are amazing
Now this is the type of videos under should be produced. This guy is amazing and I've never wanted fried chicken so bad in my life
You can hear the emotion in his voice talking about his lost parents, and honestly I'm the same way with my Dad, too.
I've tried almost all the "Best Fried Chicken in LA" spots and Honey's Kettle's my favourite, at least as good as Jim Dandy's.
Don't be fooled though, no such thing as healthy fried chicken XD
Food is healthy, lifestyles aren't necessarily.
Healthy for the soul.
it's as healthy a fried chicken can get
@@cactusbread2215 actually if you spin it in a salad spinner after frying, you spin off alot of oil
Agreed. I had to chuckle at that part. :) But I absolutely love this place. Any time I have to meet someone in Culver City I try to make it a Honey's Kettle lunch meeting.
To have that clean of a spot with fried chicken is wild. There’s so much oil, seasoning and flower floating around making a mess is seemingly avoidable. They have it all dialed in!
The love and passion he has for cooking and his business just pours out of him. I need to visit his restaurant one day.
Me too☝🏽
You can taste when someone is cooking for the passion of it and not just for the money.
Chicken looks so good!
I am about to go to LA just for some Fried Chicken.
Hey Taco, love ur vids
Same, fam!
This was like a opera .. u feel like elevated to a Michelangelo or a beautiful song in this documentary about food.... Soul lifting
Gotta love the passion. And the family dynamics. Love the whole thing. If I’m ever out in LA I’m definitely visiting
Must do. It's the best fried chicken I've ever had. And their blue berry scones are delicious.
man, when someone is that jazzed about cooking you know it’s going to be good. Passion like this is of short supply nowadays.
I can tell just by listening to him that he’s cranking out some of the best fried chicken in the world.
Careful here, the world is a big place. A lot bigger than the US... especially when it comes to cooking. He just sounds super American to me.
@Nick I will try during my next US trip!
Fried chicken is about as American as it gets, so I would think that it’s probably some damn good fried chicken.
@@-TheSweetScience Fried chicken is a slave food, as is BBQ which is Ironic because the one thing early American settlers thought of black slaves as is garbage.
@@benenivel1478 you sound like super DA!
Kettle chicken, peanut oil, mamas biscuits, and then all their wisdom and love. You just know this food is a masterpiece.
Vincent is global chicken ambassador 🍗
i agree
When I get to LA , I am going to this restaurant! There’s nothing like good fried chicken! His parents were a great influence. My Mom is from Shreveport, she makes the best fried chicken! I love his passion and perfection of his recipes!
Easily one of my Top 10 spots in Los Angeles from the decade I spent living there. Can’t wait to go back someday!
I love how much passion they put into a simple product to make it nothing but perfect! So much love for that!
Vince, you have me drooling as I watch you and your son's preparation of my favorite fried food, fried chicken.
Thanks very much.
The love, patience and craft that goes into this foods. I really will taste it someday
I’m a supporter of restaurants who worked directly with the farmers ! It a win win on both sides .. this is awesome of what honey kettle are doing
So dope! Love how Chef welcomed us into his world and shared his journey. His passion for cooking is incredibly inspiring. The food looks absolutely 🔥🔥🔥
