Jeremy, Awesome job on the videos. I tried talking to my stihl dealer about my saws and they said "bring em in and we will take a look at them." If I could afford their shop time I would just buy a new saw. Your videos are amazing and saved me lots of time. Thanks
Just hot an 039 from my nephew a while back. Been sitting for a few years.. but it was free. Got a little 29 inch alaskan mill I'm going to dedicate it to after a rebuild. Good video, pt coming up.

Youll burn it up rippin. Get something bigger honestly.
got mine 039 for 22 year and still running😄
I got buddies that have cut a ton of wood with 029 and 039's. They're pretty darn good saws in all honesty
Came for the rebuild, stayed for the smooth Morgan Freeman like voice.
Lmao your the second person that mentioned that guys name about my voice. Epic comment to wake up to. Hahahaaa
@@jeremythomas9134 must be true then ya sexy bastard! Should do voiceovers as a side hustle
@@juicedmaster im a commercial fisherman, thats my main job. This saw stuff is my side thing. Maybe ill start doing fishing videos one day.
This helped me a lot. Good video mate
I got one for free today but it’s locked up hoping to rebuild it by this video and get her going strong
Nice work sawrus
Theres a cheap 310 forsale by me can I put a 390 cylinder on it without swaping the lower end?
Yeah. But if it runs good currently, I'd just leave it myself. You'll need the correct piston also of course, but yes you can
What psi should the compression be per test?
I honestly never have checked an 029 or 039. They should be around 160 psi though id bet.
Hello
Is that the same as the ms310
Yea they're built the same. Ms290..ms310..and ms390 parts interchange. Same chassis
And i have still 039
Hi. Could I put an ms440 cylinder on a stihl ms390?
That is an upgrade from 64 to 71 cc.
No that wont work at all
