he seems like a genuinly nice guy and he's so fond of the sitcom-format, which is still underrated by the way

Interesting that he mentioned the Honeymooners, as his hands raised gestures when he's getting ready to dive into food reminds me of Ed Norton. :)

I have an idea for a show.. “Somebody’s Following Phil” where I follow Phil as he does his food show and I get all his leftovers…

It's interesting that Ray Romano didn't get scope of the title of his own show. The word "Everybody" in the show's title wasn't referring to everybody, everywhere, who watched the show. The word was only referring to characters on the show who "loved" Ray's character, or those who were perceived to "love" Ray's character by the show's "Robert" character.

I hated everyone loves Raymond when it was on its original run. I thought Raymond was too whiney and a bit of a cry baby. It was my brother that explained it to me that Ray just wanted to be left alone with his family. Then i was like awww ok.

Hm..would be interesting to know if he could have stopped working completely, after the tv show, moneywise. If he wanted to. I thought thats a given thing after something as successfull as Raymond, but im not so sure any more...seems like BIG showbiz really is a small club after all.

This type of interview sucks. When the interviewer will not shut up but keeps trying to make vocal noises while the interviewee is trying to answer the questions. This is not the interviewer interviewing the interviewer. Shut up while he is talking for goodness sakes!!!

ahabthewhaler the key here is that Jews are media people and Italians aren't. I think it has to do with Jewish culture being more centered on New York and intellectual property.

This guy literally can't get over the fact that someone didn't find his show funny and has to come up with alternative reasons for why his show failed in Russia. As a Russian - the humor is very different between the US and Russia. What appears funny to Americans is seen as superficial and bland to Russians, and perhaps vice versa. But this guy can't accept it
