Fun Fact #1: In New Generation's data, Hugo is actually in the game, however he is unfinished and crashes the game easily. Fun Fact #2: Shin-Akuma is actually in 3rd Strike, also unused. Similar to Hugo, he is unfinished, however He is in a more finished state, or perhaps not many changes were made from his 2nd Impact port before they cut him. Whatever the case is, he sure is cool. Both characters can be accessed via cheating in the Arcade Versions ONLY. I'm 99.9% sure that neither of these guys are in any ports of these games. I never knew either of these facts until recently, but I thought it would still be interesting to some of you guys. Look em' up! ;)
Lol! Hugo is in port on Dreamcast. He is also flawed there, as in the arcade. What surprises me most is that there is a black spot in the upper left corner of its unfinished background.
I like Yang's theme a lot better in this one. In fact, as a casual player, I prefer 2nd Impact over Third Strike in almost every aspect, except for the slightly smaller character roster. I imagine I'll get a lot of hate for saying that...
Never knew this game was on Dreamcast. I remember there being 3rd Strike on Dreamcast. Would've cool probably playing these. (I never grew up with Sega consoles. First system I grew up with was the DS Lite and Wii, never got to play a real Street Fighter game until 3D Editon on 3DS but before that was the port of SF2 Champion Edtion into a flash game.) Quite interesting though. :)
yeah these stages are awesome! the stages look like more care was put into them but i understand why hardcore gamers would prefer the 3rd strike stages.
Jason JAM Why not both? These stages could be available just for vs and online matches while Third Strike stages could be available for both story mode and vs matches.
Elena's stage and music in this game is nice. 6:47 Sean is Akuma's rival? Lol!😲 Poor Sean, he has no idea what he got himself into. He should have just run away. 16:17 Building up meter to finish the game in style.👍😎 19:44 ✊😲
Ah, so Necro's 2nd Impact stage is the same as his New Generation stage? He's the only character who's stage I've seen in all 3 games so far. It was good seeing that, Shin Akuma, Yang's 2nd Impact stage and how different the character select/start menu is from New Generation and Online Edition.
PS2 have the third strike. The better one. They compile it in the SF Anniversary which also have The SF2 Champ Edition, The Super Turbo (akuma debut) and Alpha 3.
Bloody good game this the sound track to these sf3 games was fecking awesome!, still remember booting this game up and thinking the level of animation was insane! Like next generation neogeo stuff it's a well polished game on the dc, favourite stage is Nairobi love the way the bridge crashes down several sections when the fight gets a bit rough. So glad the dc got sf3 new gen and double impact it was a 1 up in the face to PS2 owners at the time.
Nice whoever played this knows how to control and use Akuma. He along with Dan (yes believe it or not I thought he is pretty strong if you know how to use him) Ken,Ryu and Fei Long are my favorites.
I don't know if there really any hardcore third strike fans. But I can say I'm surprised. Some sound effects in this I don't like but I love the stages. Ahhh... I think there could been a better mix of the two games.
I can't remember what I did (it was about 10 years a go!) but I think to unlock Gill you just need to beat the game once. Then highlight Sean and press up twice. As for Shin Akuma you might have unlocked him -you need to fight and beat him. Then at the character select screen, highlight Akuma, hold start and then press any button.
+Rage Quitter 87 Basically you have to beat Akuma without losing a round and finish him off with a super arts move then Shin Akuma will come out. Beat Shin Akuma then he is now playable.
ordepcbmt It's an arcade perfect port. I saw nothing wrong with it when I played it for the Dreamcast. It does not have any missing animation or sprites or characters of the sort. No slowdown, no lag or loading times for that matter. Since New Generation and 2nd impact were only released for Dreamcast at the time Sega took the time to make sure they gave the fans what they wanted. In fact the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade are based on the Dreamcast Version just like Marvel Vs Capcom 2.
Theshark15z Pretty sure 3rd strike online edition was based on the PS2 version... Since the Dreamcast version was based on one of the latest 3rd strike CPS3 revisions which had problems. As for MVC2, you could be right.

Nario WOW HAVE I NOT SEE THE FUN FACT 2

You know, if I was Sean, looking for Ryu, I would just turn back if I saw Shin Akuma....
Lssj100 Such is youth...
Akuma: Who are you?
2nd Akuma: I am you, but stronger
Ah, that fake cd spinning disc brings back good memories.
Hugos theme is the Capcom Sound Team at its finest
I wished they remade new generation and 2nd impact for PSN and Xbox live just like 3rd strike online warrior edition
Anyone like Yang's theme music better than third strikes?
All of 2nd impacts is better with the exception of Gills and akumas theme
I HATED how it ended by saying to be continued....But then the sequel don't come out for 2 years

9:10 That was brutal
These stages wouldve been soo cool in sf3 online!
That's what I'm saying!
yeah these stages are awesome! the stages look like more care was put into them but i understand why hardcore gamers would prefer the 3rd strike stages.

amen, patrick.
patrick22014 What? There is story mode in Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition?I think it wasn't!
this game's so much better than 3rd strike
That Elena Stage..so good
SuperFlowJoe Yep, shame they got rid of it along with most of the other good stages from this game.
Elena's stage and music in this game is nice.
6:47 Sean is Akuma's rival? Lol!😲
Poor Sean, he has no idea what he got himself into.
He should have just run away.
16:17 Building up meter to finish the game in style.👍😎
19:44 ✊😲
finally a gameplay that aren't filled with perfects
ThaTruth223 I find most gameplay videos are cheat code enabled.

天
Damn only on dreamcast.
I wish this game was for the ps2.
+t2game Give me the link.

13:20 Time for some Akuma on Akuma action!
Nice whoever played this knows how to control and use Akuma. He along with Dan (yes believe it or not I thought he is pretty strong if you know how to use him) Ken,Ryu and Fei Long are my favorites.
LOL....you gotta be kidding...
13:10
-Who are you?
-I'm you, but stronger
akuma fuck sean up! lol
Lmfaoo that ending still cracks me up💀
hugo is andore from final fight
Facts lol
To fight a Akuma You don't have to lose any rounds or Using the Continues
I don't know if there really any hardcore third strike fans. But I can say I'm surprised. Some sound effects in this I don't like but I love the stages. Ahhh... I think there could been a better mix of the two games.
Is the rival finding you thing luck based? or do you have to do certain things like with Akuma and Shin Akuma?
+Some Shitposter I think it's don't lose any rounds, and get at least 5 super art finishes
you can lose a round for rival, just can't lose a set
5:18 Akuma plays basketball?! 🏀
dog background from stage looks like he cheering for saying kick butts
Can you please explain how to unlock and play as Gill and Shin Akuma? I've unlocked Akuma, played VS Shin Akuma but cant manage to play AS Shin Akuma.
I can't remember what I did (it was about 10 years a go!) but I think to unlock Gill you just need to beat the game once. Then highlight Sean and press up twice.

Now How Did You Unlocked Shin Akuma?
HellJirachi Thanks.
ok that's not Shin Akuma ,it's the prime akuma but with white hair
11:50 arent the AI just brilliant?
How close is this version to the arcade?
ordepcbmt It's an arcade perfect port. I saw nothing wrong with it when I played it for the Dreamcast. It does not have any missing animation or sprites or characters of the sort. Theshark15z More like Capcom took the time. Sega had nothing to do with the port aside from giving them the appropriate license.
Poor ibuki.
i dent get it why akuma interfere the match ryu vs akuma
excuse ¿this game is for xbox o ps2?
Dreamcast.
lol and Akuma don't mind to beat some asses
can anyone translate what shin akuma says at 14:29?
Tremble before the true power of my fists!
@@agustinuszheng588 thank you!
5:11 now thats a perfect arch
SFIV has nothing on this.
Lol, Sean fucked up.
O my God I had this version
They need to make a re-remake of 3rd strike just better
3d graphics!
they already did my frend
re remake?
Bret Martin I mean make it in 3D
so kinda like street fighter iv and v?
I would like the same graphics with more new characters and stages. They can tweak it to be more like this game's balance.
akuma tickets please!
necro stage
sean choose a wrong guy
Lol why you chose to play on three star difficulty? no wonder this game looked easy
I usually play on the default settings
this woman background from ryu stage looks like she said get the hell out here pervert
サムね塩ふってんだろ
Why does every cookie cutter scrub picks either Akuma or Ryu?
Because they're the best characters, duh.
the narrator is sooo annoying
