Kyuhee Park joue sur une guitare d'Enrique Garcia de 1906, n°74. Cet instrument appartenait au célèbre compositeur Francisco Tárrega. Il dédia à son ami parisien Alfred Cottin de Recuerdos de la Alhambra, lui offrant également cette guitare Enrique Garcia de 1906. Elle fut par la suite la propriété des "Amis de la Guitare", cercle de musiciens parisiens. C'est là que cette guitare fut jouée par tous les grands guitaristes de l'époque, notamment Ida Presti.

Kyuhee Park plays Recuerdos de la Alhambra (Francisco Tárrega).
Kyhuee Park plays on 1906 (n°74) Enrique Garcia guitar. This instrument used to belong to the famous composer Francisco Tárrega. After writing Recuerdos de la Alhambra, he dedicated this work to his friend Alfred Cottin and offered him this 1906 Enrique Garcia guitar. This fantastic instrument then became the official guiatr of "Les Amis de la Guitare" a circle of parisian guitarists. There, it it has been played by many famous musicians such as Ida Presti or even Django Reinhardt, who is supposed to be responsible for some of the heavy wear on the guitar.

Over the last few days I have listened to several versions of this piece, I find this one by far the most beautiful. So expressive, so well articulated.
Me too, must have listened to dozens, and plenty more to go but this will take some beating. That right hand is mesmerising. How did Tarrega play that without fingernails??

This artist's name is Kyohee Part. I couldn't agree more with you (Mr. Stephen Cook) that she has played this song very well. Notice the transitions or chord transitions, she did it very smoothly without interruptions or hiccups like other artists when playing this piece.

2022년. 가을. 그라나다 알바이신 언덕에서 알함브라궁전을 보면서 맥주 한캔 따고 우리 꼬북좌 규희님 연주 들을때… 너무 감동스러워 눈물이 흘렸던 68년생입니다. 해질무렵 풍경도. 음악도. 인생 한컷 만들어주신 월드클라스 연주. 늘 감사합니다.

Wow! Absolutely stunning Kyuhee. I am particularly impressed with the attention to detail you paid in the bass line of this piece - it tends to get overlooked by all the tremolo action in the treble lines. Very impressive! Someone give this girl an orchestra to accompany her.
I’m not convinced an orchestra would add much to her beautiful and flawless playing. She is a treasure!

Wikipedia link sent me here and I had to dig to find this comment. How is it not mentioned in the title or description?!
Recuerdos de la Alhambra was composed in 1896 and according to the title, the guitar was built in 1906, ten years later. So, it belonged to Tárrega but the guitar wasn't used to write that piece.
I played Tarrega's 640 Torres guitar that was restored by Jeffery Elliott. It had cigarrette burns on it. Incredible guitar. Was not this instrument. Can't remember the date on that guitar. Worth somewhere around 250k. This is a fine instrument as well. Big dynamic range. Wonder if it's a 640mm.
@@franzenmusic The Garcia played in this video is 648mm, as most of his instrument. I believe the Torres you played is the SE118 from 1888 though I think its scale length is 650mm. Concerning the fact that the piece was not written on the 1906 Garcia, obviously not. There is an 1899 handwritten score which is dedicated to his patron, Sra. Dª Conchita G. De Jacoby. The title on this score is not yet Recuerdos de la Alhambra, but Improvisación !A Granada¡ Cantiga Árabe and the end of the score slightly differs from the published version. The title Recuerdos de la Alhambra only appears at the end of the first decade of the 20th century, when the piece is published with the dedication to Alfred Cottin which coincide with the date of the Garcia guitar that Tarrega offered to Cottin.

Nicolas de la Forge i like her playing. The tremolo is very good. And as to the speed, Tarrega’s version is even faster. I also like it a little slower but that’s just a matter of personal preferences.

Bellissima interpretazione, melodia ed armonia suonano separate, chiare, ma sinergiche, eccezionale poterla ascoltare su una chitarra dell' epoca di proprietà del compositore, Tàrrega, penso che questo sia passato in secondo piano.

È storia, la regalò ad un suo amico cantante parigino, al quale è anche dedicato questo eccezionale pezzo. Nella descrizione del video c'è un breve accenno.
