Looks like I've got a number of complaints regarding breathing into the microphone, one comment suggested i got a bit too excited, haha. The reason behind it is because I never intended to record all cut scenes when I started the series. It was only at the very end that I decided it would be a nice extra. So i cut them out of the Let's Pwn videos, at which time I still had the microphone on. It was only a cheap dodgy microphone and I had no easy way to mute it. I thought I was quiet, suffice to say, if I was hiding from Mike Myers, he would have found me no problem.
If I get time one day, I'll re-do them properly.

I dont know where I stand with the new remastered games, open ra is already great why replace it and why replace it with something that costs?
@Wrath-Amon honestly though, open ra is not identical to the original, it will be nice to have both options, I also dont mind paying to support the composer of the music Frank and also the band that helped. I also like the new art style etc. So I dont know where I stand.

Yeah, imagine the security engineers who put the little 3d low poly cannons into the firewall. No cryptography, no rsa, no unbreakable algorithms based on hardcore math, just an arcade videogame from the 90s every village idiot can beat. I truly hope the goverment paid billions for them.

I like the 90s CGI. Clunky? Sure, but it had charm and it was before CGI ended up everywhere.
When this game launched, i was 12 or 13. It simply blew me away. Today, words like "immersion" get thrown around, VR is taking up traction too. All of this will fail, without a proper, coherent and personal game design. Wing Commander had it, Rebel Assault had it and C&C1 (at least) had it too. The storyline made me really want to progress, just to see how it turns out. I miss this simple basics in a lot modern games.
The thing is, when you were 12 or 13 and the internet wasn't in everybody's pocket, it was so much easier to get sucked in a game and it's world.
Sure it's an awesome game, but many people tend to forget, that immersion to games gets harder when we grow up, and we demand way more from them than back in the day.
I have to agree. Every time I completed a mission, there was a cutscene and made me want acomplish the next mission to understand the story.
@@Sidecutt3 Actually it has little to do with today's technology. Go watch films, shows, games and music of the 80's and 90's and you will experience quality you simply don't get today in terms of detailing, writing and a unique experience. This is because the creators actually cared about what they were making, spending endless hours toiling towards making something genuinely creative, new and intensively detailed. Today everything is copy paste because almost everything is designed on an internet computer released to a dumb uncritical audience, it is so insanely easy to just look at dozens of competitors and copy their ideas instead of inventing new ones, with studios also willing to take risks to beat competition, and a lack of need to release a complete finished product when you can endlessly patch after release or instead cultivate a cult following by being political or virtue signalling on social media. I honestly feel sorry for our young generation of today who will lack experiencing creativity in most media and must look to the past or dig deep in the bowels of the internet to find anything resembling something new and exciting

He's Erich Gooch, one of the CGI artists of the early C&C games (up to Tiberian Sun)
Looking back at missions objectives, a lot of them tie in with what Kane wants for the C&C3 eg using the ion cannon to trigger "the event".

I made a joke with it and it completely failed, this is why we can't have nice things.
Wow... I never even realized when I was first playing this, but after you started succeeding, Seth was angry that you were quickly becoming Kane's favorite. The following missions, he tried to sabotage you... giving faulty intelligence (Only a few scientists, really?), and eventually sending you to the US... But Kane was on to him.
Seth was trying to get you to piss Kane off enough for him to kill you.
I thought Seth was sending you on what he thought were suicide missions. "There's no stopping you is there?"
@@ugiustuskeiserus8066 he was either trying to get you killed or have you brought back in failure so kane would order your death. Seth was later used as an example of the price of betrayal
The hardest mission on nod was where you infelttrate the base just to steal the box thing and then returning to the drop off point, if the GDI killed your troop who took the box then you were screwed

@@philipped.r.6385 there's this one gdi mission that was hard and that was when you built your base and could have mostly gaurd towers as your defense for the base and you had to fend off nods flames tanks who did a number of damage to your base

I've always been fascinated by Nikoomba, the guy that we have to assassinate in Nod's 1st mission. The guy looks some kind of fat and bombastic south american military dictator that could have been from the much later Tropico game series. And he's some kind of random african village chief somehow. I wished that we could know more more about him! 😂
The game wouldn't have been what it is now without Frank Klepacki and Kucan.

gillyssquashball, If you look at it from the point of view of Kane, he is leaving the world after he has out stayed his welcome, He wants to get off of earth as stated in CNC 4 Tiberian Twilight and a lot of times in Tiberium Wars, Nod would disappear as the Tiberium did, GDI would be taken down, And then the World would return to its normal state, Kane though he could evolve humanity at first with the appearance of Tiberium, But he failed, After creating Tiberium Infusions, and all of those Tiberium weapons, He found a way to control it, And then he left earth, The Scrin Tower destroying the Tiberium

I loved how serious the old C&C games were in their story.
The more recent C&C games are just silly.
The tiberium universe is the one to be taken seriously, it's the red alert universe that is just shots and giggles.

C&C 4 story isn't that bad. It's the gameplay that's an atrocity.

The breathing in the background is brilliant.
Great collection, but don't forget the alternate cutscenes from Mission 7 (when you could destroy a GDI village with a captured Orca) and Mission 10 (when you could try to sabotage the Mammoth tank project instead of the Ion Cannon).
Seth should have known better than to defy Kane. But then again, even fools have their uses.

3:34 Ah, I recognize the background noise in this cutscene. It's the same sound they used for the bomb countdown at the end of James Bond Film "Goldfinger" where Bond fights Oddjob inside Fort Knox.
One of my favorite missions was where i helped another village allied with NoD attack their rivals. It was a massacre! I remember my favorite thing to do was set up my base right in the middle of towns and stuff.
C&C 3 is awesome, the series still has some kick left in it

The Nod ending isn't canon for the rest of the official games, if you want a canon Nod ending, try Twisted Insurrection.

Tiberius Caesar and Drusus Caesar were both Emperors, but they were father and son. There was never any "Tiberius Drusus Caesar," even though each changed his name a couple times and both always had middle names.
Is Kane trying to subtly revise certain aspects of history to draw more attention to his immortality and timelessness? He would certainly encourage more reverence among his followers by doing so.
