yes you can go for some sort of course or certification such as Frm ,Cfa if you are in finance domain. And if you are in marketing you should go for PMP certification.

check out how composite scores are calculated for every iim. Even though you are from sc category, that doesn't mean other people of the same category as yours are on your level. The best of the best people are coming for iims. Toppers with 10/9/9 profile plus went to top institutes for grad even though after using quota, they still worked hard and were selected. So don't think it'll be easy. Get at least 98%ile and then you'll be as worthy as any other person in iims. Speaking from experience.

There are a few select companies that do come for it, but it varies over the colleges and year
