The issue is that the AI shouldn't be "smart" but thematic. The way the AI acts in Crusader Kings for instance, is good because when it acts weird you can internally justify it. The current coward AI SHOULD be used for like elves, skaven or others, but not for Orks, beastmen and such.
Agreed! An aggressive AI borderline to overconfident and suicidal for Greenskins or Beastmen would be both hilarious and lore-accurate.

Good stream, still interesting at this stage which is real nice! Still hoping to see more of what these new buildings can do for the dwarves.
Topics were fine, nice when it's mostly about the game (probably because it's still interesting), miners jokes and Dr. Disrespect (the age of consent) practically write themselves and he deserves it all!

Love seeing at least a second episode of the livestream. TBH- I stopped watching some of the livestreams because you would only do one episode and the campaigns felt unfinished.

Playing Ikit after the patch is delicious. So many armies to eat
Playing a Belegar campaign, its turn 104 and according to my trade panel I'm producing 858 MILLION 992 THOUSAND 640 kegs of Dwarf Beer :O holy crap thats a lot of beer, though apparently I am trading 0% of it. Then the next turn I'm producing NEGATIVE 2 BILLION 147 MILLION 483 thousand 648 kegs...and understandably exporting 0%.
Probably a bug relating to the deeps building that consumes beer.
An excellent showcase of skill in tactics and resource management - although I wouldn’t agree the AI is braindead- you have 20,000 hours of experience against it

Episode 2 lets goooo gotta say I'm doing a Grimgor run post 5.2 and I might actually have a disaster battle for once if I can't beat this kholek fight
I think people are too hung up on the idea of making the game competitive with the AI, but the AI is there to construct a kind of theater for the player, given that this is a single player game. Getting trounced by an AI that didn't cheat but which played at an expert level wouldn't make people too happy either. I agree with the other comment that the AI in a game like this should try to behave like it should, with a kind of personality. Rather than focusing on making the AI more intelligent, they could easily do some things to make each race behave a little differently, and that would go a long way.
The problem is when the AI is so dumb that it takes the player out of the game in amazement, kind of like what happened last stream.
9:35 the only cheat i am against atm is attrition immunity since there are mechanics that utilize attrition
