I love how nurgle who was supposed to be the main focus of the dlc ironically came out with less then the other two races in the dlc
His warband system allows you to play with units from other DLC without owning them, so it's the best bang for your buck arguably if you don't own stuff like Chorfs. The Empire benefited the most from the paid DLC when it comes to the faction's "power level" increasing, but the Dwarfs benefited the most from the free additions. And the new Dwarf units are a bit nuts lol we'll see how much more the new stuff gets toned down or reworked
@@Supercohboy yeah that’s my point the warband system benefitted tamurkhan greatly but if we were to just look at what is available to the race as a whole in terms of paid and unpaid content the empire/dwarfs got the best of it.
Probably just a bad matchup, y'know the very melee focused chaos armies of Nurgle running into the VERY overpowered guns of the Dawi and Empire isn't a very favorable for Nurgle. Either they sit and get pummeled by Artillery or rush them and get shot to death by gunpowder. Elspeth and Malakai being overtuned rn doesn't help too.
At least Nurgle got some love in the DLC, they got a much needed rework and feel a LOT better to play.
@@mesuper455 They do, but Tamurkhan definitely lacks an equivalent to Elspeth's gunnery school, and Malakai's workshop. His chieftain's can't really compete with the sheer amount of factionwide buffs those two mechanics provide.
Yeah and tamurkhan needs time if he gets like 50 turns hes broken can easily get 50 ward save and insane damage with all the chieftains@@mesuper455

I feel like Nurgle's recruitment is just too slow to keep up with regular factions.
Not really when you make it good its actually amazing but they are just slow and this was a super bad match up
Nurgle early game is very slow. But after early game when you build up crazy amounts of infections it becomes very easy. Because you can rush military cycles with infections and you can just pump out lots of late game units. And through tech, Nurgle corruption and skill lines you can basicly recruit units at full health. I think mid-late game Nurgle can swarm Malakai and Elsbeth and win but in the early stages Nurgle gonna lose.
@@berkekaradag1410 I feel like nurgle is still going to buckle under high upkeep and recruitment cost though. The other factions don't have any issue with money even when tamurkhan is nonstop looting and raiding settlements, he fails to get an equal amount of armies out.
@@loveluclins In the mid and late game money is not a problem for any of the factions. Including Nurgle. And the thing about Nurgle is, with the other factions losing a high cost, late game army and units hurts but with Nurgle I just don't care. My soul grinder doomstack army destroyed? Oh no! Anyway I just recruit another full army in the same turn and next turn they are at full hp.
Also swarming with Nurgle is easy. Just pump out low-mid tier armies and swarm the lands. You don't need more high quality armies than Empire to beat them. You just need 1 or 2 high quailty armies and lots of cheap ones. Even the cheap ones are unkillable. Killing buffed Nurglings takes so oooo much time.
I like the Nurgle play style. It is different. It is not weak or op. Every faction in this game is easy to play anyways.

If there's one thing I know about Warhammer, it's that eventually rnGesus will absolutely dance on your broken corpse. In tabletop I have experienced victory without losing a model, as well as performing a lethal miscast on turn 1 with my lord.
Or the old skaven lightning cannon. Pretty good chance to “accidentally” wipe your lord off the map

I think that Timurland could've actually beaten Malakai if you took him off the mount and made him harder to hit. That guy is ridiculously tanky even without the mount and slaughters infantry.
it wouldn't help him much. Would've made him much slower plus a foot lord that can be staggered. It's a good strat vs ai, but not so great vs players. Tbh new dwarves, particularly malakai are just better than nurgle. Their economy is better, they have better recruitement, they have better units (thunderbarges in particular be crazy) and way better expansion/autoresolve.
@@sympunny8636 I don't think Timuland can be staggard due to his mass. Also its okay if he's slower which I don't think he is with the mount on him. Also dwarves best way of dealing with single entity units is just using ranged so if they can't hit as much less damage.
yeah, tamurkhan is better against ranged heavy factions when he isnt on bubelos. he turns into one of the biggest entities in the game.
@@peterhe6699 the trouble is, once you take his off his mount, he's slow and doesn't have great aoe damage. So they can just put a basic unit to tie him down and slaughter his army in the meantime. I saw he didn't have his mortis yet, so he basically becomes too slow, too slow to move, too slow to kill.
@@sympunny8636 The AOE damage just makes the battle longer so its okay and if you send him in alone they got no army to kill he's a one man doomstack. You want Timurland in melee where he can't be easily shot if he's on his mount anybody can shoot him in melee or not in warhammer unless you got a duelist lord or hero missiles are the only way to kill a powerful character like Timurland. At least on foot it's harder to hit him.

epidemius is really fun lord but i had much more fun playing as tamurkhan and confederating him. Late game with a lot of plagues makes him feel unstoppable
You guys should do a much larger tournament with a a lot of your friends, really liked this format guys.
I honestly don't like what they've done to Nurgle's faction. I feel like I'm in the minority saying that I thought their economy was strong enough before the update (with all strategic resources giving +15% income increased in the province EACH) while providing a lot of flavor to the faction. I think the people who cried it was weak or bad are the ones who didn't have the patience to see out a Ku'Gath campaign more than 15 turns. Zoomer brains in action, I guess.
I'll have fond memories of the southern provinces of Cathay becoming a breadbasket of my Ku'Gath world conquest, with the Celestial Riverlands province alone giving me anywhere between 4000 and 10,000 gold per turn depending on the building cycles
I'm also gutted that they dropped the amazing artistic icons they had for the old disease symptoms, they were really nice compared to the new basic bitch modifier icons.
But no losing bracket fight between khan and nurgle's accountant?

Why didn’t you instant recruit Nurgle’s units in your home territory when Tamurkhan’s capital was under assault? Nurgle has a recruiting pool, with instant recruitment although at lower health, a defense army sprouting out of the ground might’ve saved that Tamurkhan campaign.
it was pretty early on in the campaign, he probably didn't have that many units in his pool, and they'd struggle at lower health to do any significant damage. Plus it'd be a large amount of recruit gold, which it didn't look like he really had.

What kind of sucks, is that in TT and in the Lore, generic Chaos Lords of ANY mark can take chaos dragons and manticores. And CA, who hand out mounts like candy EVEN to characters who don't get them (I'm looking at you, Lokhir)! decided not to give them to these Chaos factions because they were locked behind the WoC DLC paywall.
They should at LEAST give the option to people who own it.....Without ranged or even ranged and magic in the case of Khorne, missing their normal tools takes away strategies they should have access to!

If such a thing happens again, might I reccommend using ground target mode? Should work most of the time.
Only artillery I have confirmed so far it does not work on is Chaos Dwarf Dreadquake mortar.

LOL. The Chieftains don't play well in the same armies. I had Khargan with the first Befouled dude in my main army for awhile and they were cool with each other. But when I had Befouled with the Chaos Dwarf, they were butting heads all the time. It wasn't hard to keep the peace between them by being neutral. Maybe some of them get along with each other, and others don't. It was probably done on purpose to stop you from stacking OP campaign bonuses, but there's much to learn about how they interact with one another or if it's just scheduled events.

Is it possible to use different icons to represent the different players, it's terribly confusing to use a SKAVEN icon to represent someone who is NOT playing Skaven. It gets worse when there is another player in the campaign who is Skaven. I don't get why you decided upon those icons.
They need to patch those balloons lol. I was in a fight with 14 units against 2 fking balloons. I got owned and i player every warhammer game and i know what to do lol. My 2 heroes got wiped with 1 harpoon. Then my whole infantry wiped with 2 or 4 charges of bombs. And they out shot my missile units with their range weapons inside. Gg wp

You guys make a good show, if I can give you one note, as a new viewer, I sometimes find it hard to tell who is talking, Mac or Riggs. Both guys have similar voices and its made worse by the use of those skaven avatars, they look the same. It might help if you do some creative photo shopping and make one of them have a blue scarf or some other feature that stands out. Or if Riggs used another figure all together. Loved the video otherwise.
So I have a question in regards to your head to head rules and settings regarding AI
1: what sort of settings do you guys run?
2: do you auto resolve all ai battles or manually do some? If so are there some conditions that you decide which you are allowed to manually battle?
played Thorgrim after several months of not any dwarfs. slayers and iron drakes early and i could auto resolve pretty much every battle. Iron drakes OP....
That final battle, you had your hellstorms on guard mode. I don't think they will fire at will in guard, only fire to defend themselves, that's why it shot that random person.
Try the outrider stack against the dwarves. I believe it outranges the flamethrowers and it's fast. It can take down the gyrocopters and it's not going to be caught by anything else the dwarves are using.

Malakai is deff number 1, if you do the airship missions, grungni and other airships will have shotgun cannons...
devs knew theyre holding out on unit count cause it could affect both the Engine and PC and now we can see the result on Riggs's Hells storms in the end, it was so crushing

to summarize:
Gun is strong
but DWARF Gun is stronger
I often thought empire and dwarfs and bretonnia felt like such rejected races by CA, and skaven so loved with their warp nukes and ratling guns. With this patch, i feel like they overdid it a bit. Malakai is way too strong, his thunderbarges are too strong, and his mechanics are OP. I think Elspeth is mostly fine, though i think she is potentially the strongest empire faction now
Gelt is the strongest empire faction if you go full stack of wizards and it isn't close, he may be the strongest in the game
iron drakes are broken as fuck lol my poor skaven everytime i do mp games against dwarves

I absolutely dominated with Tamurkhan by rushing to get Rot Knights in decent numbers into every army. Having a fast moving, high impact flanking cav force in a Nurgle army is unbelievably strong.
