Riding in sand is all about standing on your bike like a Motorcross driver. Distributing your weight properly over the handlebars and bike and then gripping the tank with your knees. This will help you control the bike when it gets to slipping around. Always look far ahead with your head up, and choose your lines around 50 feet ahead of you. If you hit a nasty rut or don’t have much choice to go through it throttle up and grip the tank hard with your knees. Enough speed will propel you through it. Looks like a fun ride, thanks for sharing.
That difference of scenery, naice! The rocky ledge with that spectacular view of the valley below... spectacular 😂 you were really booking it on those roads BTW, why is it when we fall, instan reaction is to pick up bike... 😁 no 2 sec rule, and it's not Le Mans 24hr race haha
The Bighorn mountains are so beautiful. As for picking the bike up, the tank bag caused the fuel cap to leak a little gas when the bike took a nap, so I was eager to right the ship. I even put the extra gasket from camel adv on there. Next time I'll point the camera at me when I pick the bike up 🤣
Thank you! I bought the seat cover on eBay, and I can't seem to find it anymore, but it looks just like the Wind Rider or Cool Covers. I suspect they were all made in the same factory and just branded differently.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve ridden that bike in the sand in the pine barrens lots and lots, but it didn’t help me there 🤣
I have a lot of catching up to do... thanks again for the awesome vids!
Glad you are enjoying them!
Great watch! Wyoming is pretty amazing. I will be there again next season.
It sure is! There's an awful lot to explore there! It certainly warrants a few follow up trips.
4:34 wow - Amazing!
Crazy Woman Canyon is really cool. I'm happy I found it!

@@AdventurePiggy oh sheeet, fuel leak is def a motivation
Great video - beautiful scenery! I want to go!
I want to go back!
@@AdventurePiggy So I need to learn to ride a motorcycle?
Either that or some Jeep-like conveyance. I don’t think the Prius will make it!
Great footage! What is the name of your seat cover?

Nothing saps your energy like sand at high elevation.
How did the engine feel? Did it seem low on power?
The engine felt fine, honestly. It has more power than I can reasonably use off pavement. My KLR on the other hand was sucking wind over 10,000 feet.
@@AdventurePiggy I can imagine. The only bikes I've riden at that altitude were carbureted.
