@@Wildman-zh8lgHe isn’t underrated by no means but he still doesn’t get the credit that was well deserved, he had so many great bangers besides “Bad To The Bone”.
I saw George in 1985 at the Starlight Amphitheater in Kansas City. It was my first concert. That was almost 39 years ago. I didn't go to a lot of concerts but this was my favorite.
I just saw George on Sunday, what a show, I still have laryngitis because I was the fool screaming to hear get a haircut and you played it making the concert even more special. Life sometimes prevents us from seeing our idols, so those songs are still relevant.
He knows what he’s saying cause even tho he put up those hits up way before I was born. As a young adult I will always go to thurgood for a good bar tune.

When George said you got a classic he sounded just like mj fox in bttf. When he s sat at the dinner table watching some old TV comedy show and he says I've seen this it's a classic, but his uncle says you can't have it's brand new
It’s funny how that goes…People going to see a band want to hear the stuff they know…People who go to see comedians want to hear new stuff they haven’t heard.
a joke ages like milk on a hot summer day if you know the punchline its just not gonna land. a song can feel overplayed too sure but it usually takes years and even so you want the hits when youre there live.
Yeah George was known to be a really down-to-earth guy and he used to sit at the bar sometimes at one of the places we would see him play in Ardmore Pennsylvania way back maybe around 1984 .
This is the most I've ever heard from George Thorogood with the media. He's always been a very private man, and allegedly has some Hells Angels who work security for him. Then again, he lost his wife a few years ago, so who knows! Keep on keepin on Lonesome George!!
what musicians with a gigantic hit that people want to hear every show is compose say 7 variations of different lengths that sound pretty much like the original. that way you can play a variant each night instead of the same version over and over.
As a kid I got to hang out and here story's from the bass players porch he had a hot step daughter who had mohawk it was around the time of bow wow wow and I want candy the bass player was telling us about the big show at jfk with the rolling stones and journey and the destroyers
Ha ha he doesn’t do traveling man anymore because Ricky Nelson died, ;) but George is so right - and got it right the second time. I would die to have one of my songs applauded by 50 people let alone have a hit . So damn funny George is the peoples musician , worst thing you can say is here’s something from the new album true
George is 100% correct!!
He’s one of the most underrated artists ever I swear.
Underrated are you kidding me

Saw him in Cleveland last weekend. Great show. Smaller venue. Relates to the audience like no other.
He's such a character! It's almost as much fun to hear him talk as it is to hear him sing>
Go George.

It seems like with comedy and spoken word the audience wants to be given a feeling and with music they want to remember one more often then not.
