How to repair damaged extension cord and what can be done to prevent electrical fires?

In this #DIYable video, I am going to show you how dangerous it can be using extension cord. I can tell you I had very bad experience with my central vac. it burned the plastic housing. I will do the demo to create electric arc using #NomaExtensionCord. Then, I will talk about what caused the problem, why not circuit breaker protect you? The repair should be redone with the proper connections. That's unsafe due to the vibration cracking the bonds. Anywhere with vibration or water penetration , like garage.use crimp.or twist connection. It will work for a very long time possibly never needing repair. It just cracks over time and the short is problematic.
