what a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful video ✨ the laxed-convo format, the softness of scene + delivery, the little rose-looking string decor on the shelves, and most importantly, the challenging of convention makes for such a wonderfully fresh, authentically personal perspective ~ i've had this video queued up for months + i'm happy to have finally gotten to it 👏🏽 🌹 bravo

I've had the X-E2 for about three years now, bought it as a broken camera, repaired it with the intention to sell, but ended up falling in love with it. As far as I can tell, the X-E2 has the same 16mp sensor but the updated image processor. It has remained a mainstay of my camera collection and I've only recently upgraded to the X-E4 for my event work. Primarily because the shutter is a little slower compared to modern cameras, and although the colours are gorgeous, I ended up missing some 'moments' from time to time. My X-E2 is now a backpack camera with the XF 27mm which like you say, feels like it was designed for it. I will never sell her! Even if the prices have gone mental recently...
@@InaiahLujanMusic I'll pop you a follow! Sadly most of my events are private so I am unable to share my work publically. I mainly work through word of mouth and organisations.
Best Fujifilm Sensor ever ! I'll never get rid of it. It also has a great look & layout. It's the exact same size as my X100 when i have the 27mm 2.8 on it. Fuji should have added electronic shutter through a firmware update like they did with the XT1
Fuji X-E1 lover here! I do have more modern cameras (from other brands) and always end up deciding to use my x-e1 x-t1 and x-t2. There’s something special about old xtrans sensors and the tactile experience! Enjoy your x-e1!!
I own two X-E1's because of the original sensor that is the same as the Xpro1. Both cameras have M42 lense adapters for quick hyperfocal street photography with M42 lenses. While my Xpro1 has the Fujifilm M adapter for my Voigtlander M lenses. I had the X-E2 and sold it and went back to the X-E1 just for the filmlike images that it brings. As for quick photos I also use a my X-A1 with 27mm for quick on the go shots. Again with the original sensor.
I bought this camera back in november and was hooked on fujifilm. I got the Xpro3 last week and i feel like the XE1 produces better colors and the images "feel" better.
You’re not the first to say / notice that. There is def some magic in this first gen x-trans sensor that the later iterations don’t quite capture, or so it seems. Thanks for tuning in!
I absolutely adore :) your videos and how you share your experiences and opinions using the camera, and not just a straight up review. This looks like a fun camera, especially all the manual controls. Looking forward to your campsnap video, and would be interested in hearing you talk about film.
Thank for that feedback and for taking the time to comment! It means a lot. I def am going to do a camp snap and geeking out about my film journey is a must! Thanks again
2012 was a sweet spot for cameras. XE1 is super fun and barely noticeable on the wrist. I recently got a Leica M240 that I love to death. Companies were figuring out how to get some classic tone and feel in the sensors, but things hadn't become so digital and raw focused. Retro lenses make fantastic images on these type of cameras too. I don't even touch the new bodies anymore.
This video made my finally buy an X-E1. My main is X-S10 but I wanted something a little smaller for walking around, and you really helped with that! Thanks for putting your time into this video, and for being yourself! Earned a sub 😊👍🏼
Damn, man I loved how you actually was shooting from the hip and really shared your emotions and unedited perception. I actually at the process of buying my first camera, it is quite hard process actually and I more & more prone to buy smth from fuji, your vid is really inspirational. I hope you'll share more tips and stuff and also more photos that I really liked and screenshotted :D
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been curious about jumping into Fuji after using Sony for years. I love your current approach to photography and you’ve echoed a lot of what I’m looking for (more intentional photos while simplifying post processing). I’m excited to get my hands on one of these now!
just find out your channel, nicew vids mate, nice content :), may i ask what lut are you using on this recorded video or what picture profile settings? i guess its a sony camera (fx30 i guess), thanks in advance, keep it up youtube needs more videos like this
Hi I am using FX30 shooting CineEI (slog-3) doing my color conversion and grading in DaVinci Resolve - I’m a big fan of the Alexandru’s LUT collection to use as a preview LUT while I shoot but I don’t bake in the look, I just use it as a reference point and do my own grade in post. You can download those luts for free at: pro.sony/en_AL/technology/amb22-alexandru-don-luts-free-download
My son has my original XE1 with the 27mm pancake along with a cheaper manual focus lens and thats his only camera, he has no desire for anything more modern. I now own the XE2s and several lenses some manual only focus. I was going to sell it but since I gave away my all time favorite film like-digital camera the X-30 over 8 years ago and longed for another ever since but the used price is higher than it was new. It had tons of film simulations including Acros and Clasic Chrome. and lots of quirky/fun art filters, I only shot in JPEG and wasted no time in photoshop. The reason I gave it away is because the girl I gave it to was in a 3rd world country and couldnt afford any camera. So me with first world problems to worry about at that time, like having the highest megapixels possible and a full frame sensor and the X30 was quickly loosing the race with a 1/1.7 inch sensor and a lowly 12 megapixels. Wow I had the perfect film like camera and didnt even realize it. Now in 2024 and lucky for me the camera store only offered me $250 for my like new XE2s camera and lens but I didnt let it go, instead I watched several videos on how to use the XE series and now I absolutely love it and you just taught me even more ways to control my camera. I also use the film sims and with all of the custom settings I never use any type of photoshop. Each and every picture is JPEG and Ive never looked back. Your amazing photagraphy outlook is much appreciated. I started with an old 35mm Minolta then to a Pentax that I still own and even have an original Zenith SLR made in the USSR, Oh what fun. thanks again.

hi guys, I recently got a X-E1, I want to use it to make a videoclip for a artist, with your advise the x-e1 can make a good nice view Videoclip or I just stick to another camera?
Depending on the iPhone you have you can purchase an SD card reader that goes to lightning (older iPhones) or USB-C (newer iPhones) it will read as a hard drive in your camera roll and you can import from there. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your effort in making this video! I just bought this camera (my first camera) and this is exactly what I needed to know. You got a subscriber. Also your content is great and I am having a hard time understanding why you have so little views, you deserve much more. I have a question, if you had to choose between the 27mm (w/o aperture ring) and the xc 35mm for the same price which one would you suggest as a first lens? I think the 35mm being f2 would allow me to have a bit more fun (bokeh) but wouldn't be as portable. I can't decide!
Thank you for taking the time to write this! I feel so seen. I’ve been at this for a while but just now feeling like I’m finding my groove so the feedback is much appreciated. I personally don’t love the look of 35mm on a APC-S (cropped) sensor like the Fuji. I don’t think you can go wrong with either of those focal lengths. I got a cheap Meike 35mm which is full manual and I love it, was very cheap too! I tend to favor the 27mm though, so if I had to pick, personally I prefer that focal length over the 35mm. I just got an 18mm 7artisans UFO lens I will have to do a video on coz I’m really digging it… it’s a fixed aperture at 6.3 so not going to give you shallow depth of field like an f2 or 2.8 but still worth checking out, especially for the price tag and compactness! Anyway. Thanks again, I hope that helps
