    Excellent solution, it worked . I had used Dupont wires and was struggling for nearly 4 hours , tried to extend the antenna of SIM800L and did lot of research but it could not connect to the network , Just could not believe it was such a simple solution you discovered !! , I used some good and short wires ( which I retrieved from my dead computer SMPS .. it has very good wires ..) and voila ...it worked... hats off to you dude ..keep it up

    Thanks for sharing. I discovered the same with SIM800C and SIM800L. The Dupont cables can not supply enough current when the module is transmitting. I also put a 1000 micro Farad +100 nF across the + and - terminals close to the chip for better stability. There is also a problem with the proto breadboard to supply current. I have designed Digital Circuits since 1974 so I'm a little paranoid when it comes to decoupling. They don't teach this in schools and universities anymore.

    Dude you are a life saver it worked like magic i've been working on that module for about 12 hours and i wached all the youtube videos and read all the articles about sim800L and the documentations there is no body mentioned about the connections before, except you.
    Bro thank you soo much for this ❤❤❤❤

    I comfirm that worked! the current on the wire between the regulator module and the SIMCOM module is the cause.

I worked on it for nearly two months until I decided to use bigger wires and it worked! Since then I use bigger cables for every connection and never use dupont wires anymore

    Same problem i faced during my project, actually the problem is not due to that birk connector wire gauge/thickness, the problem is due to the loose connections. We can overcome this problem by soldering the joints with the same (birk connector) wire with the reccomended battery/power suply easily. Better to use a 1000 micro Farad 16V, Capacitor connected across Vcc and Ground of sim800L for the requirement of burst current supply for short period of time.

But ive tryed my self to move my wires with the supply voltage af close to the sim800L board pins as possible at it helped.. Such a wierd issue that dosnt make any sence, But i guess the 2 A burst load, is not a myth, and kills the powersupply.. Thanks for the video..

    • @thedeltaneutral8431
      @thedeltaneutral8431  5 лет назад

      5 amp may show you a current overload warning or may damage the GPS module, never use 5 amp, and zener would act as a voltage regulator, so it won't allow the sudden high current required for the transmission Burst i.e to create a connection to the network, 🙂

    • @thedeltaneutral8431
      @thedeltaneutral8431  5 лет назад

      No, never, because during the transmission burst, while connecting to the network it impulses a high peak current..approx 2A and there after runs in low voltage, so I would suggest to use lipo

    • @thedeltaneutral8431
      @thedeltaneutral8431  5 лет назад

      No, Sir, there lies the problem which has been discussed and overcame in this video, while creating a network with the tower.. the GSM module would pull a 2A peak current for a few seconds, hence the power source should be Adaptable and equipped to provide that much current, simply order a low cost lipo from Amazon or Flipkart
