I’m from CA and have done civil war reenacting for a couple years. I was planning to attend possibly this upcoming one or 2025. Is there any good German units I can join? Is there loaner equipment?
going this year with my 3 kids pregnant wife and dad. Thanks to all you reenactment people out there cause you'll be making my kiddos so happy that day!!! Also a dad super excited also!!!

Just before the first landing craft hits the beachhead - German enemy fire begins, and then, at 4:15 mark - a dive bomber-strafer plane (likely a P-51 Mustang) zooms in over the beach to try to hit one of the enemy German positions in a simulated manner but with no success. My guess. The plane came in so fast, that you might mistake that P-51 for one of those Messerschnitt combat planes used by the Germans.
28:59 - if I were to direct the re-enactment, I was guessing to put the Bangalore Torpedo tube into the green tube on that grass, and on the signal, pyrotechnic explosions around the last fox hole on the grass, simulating that the last fox hole had been cleared and taken out.
Cool video, man. I was one of the German soldiers by the green and yellow bunker up on the hill.

the Germans captured and used plenty of them during the war, including PPSH41s, even carried 9mm conversion barrels...........
