    You never realize how much of a genius guitarist George was until you see the details of how he played and create...RIP George, you truly one of the best ever..

    I don’t think any single song had a bigger impact on people all over the world then that song had. I remember hearing it in December 1963 and was automatically hit between the eyes. It was unlike anything I ever heard and I listened to ALL the rock and roll music that was out there.

      Nope. To late to the party Americans perhaps, but loads of Beatles tunes in 1962 & '63 impacted people "all over the world" far more than "I Want To Hold Your Hand" , indisputably the most memorable being "She Loves You" releasing on 23 August 1963 was UK #1 by 14th September and was their first single to sell over a million copies in that country remaining in the UK charts for 31 weeks painting the "ya ya ya...bloody mop tops" & Beatlemania on the radar of parents worldwide outside the USA where kids were still bopping along to the Beach Boys "Surfer Girl", "Little Deuce Coupe" and The Four Seasons "Candy Girl".

      @@theblytonian3906 how do you explain Beatlemania that started with them coming to USA in February 64 and then spread all over the world. Yes even Canada had their music before we Americans did but “I Want To Hold Your Hand” started like said Beatlemania.

    • @theblytonian3906
      @theblytonian3906 5 месяцев назад

      @@countalucard4226 "Beatlemania" was happening in the UK, Australia and every Commonwealth country where EMI distribution and British cultural and trade practice was then extant long before the Beatles visited America or the release of "I Want to Hold Your Hand".
      You're a victim of your own delusion and belief in American exceptionalism. The world at large discovered the Beatles in October 1962. Americans delude themselves nothing happened until Feb 1964. 🙄🤣😂 Here's another fact. In 2024, TBH the world is thoroughly sick and tired of Americans and your attitude of American exceptionalism delusion and your endless murderous wars.

      @onderov 7 месяцев назад +4

      Sorry, but it is NOT! The very beginning is wrong. George doesn't play the intro riff as: C, E, D. That's what bass plays. George plays the first two notes of the riff in harmony to the bass: E, G, D.

    On the second-to-last chord of the solo (the F#) he bounces from the top 2 strings (10th fret 2nd, 9th fret 1st) down to a 6th chord. D# on the 3rd string, (8th fret) A on the 2nd (10th fret). It's the funky tritone.

    Heavymetal guitarplayer
    comments:
    I'm mainly a metal guitarplayer
    but I grew up with Beatles
    records and I favor early
    Beatles. George embellished
    John's rhythm guitar parts
    instead of just doubling, and
    there's a lot to it.

    Get the G5422T nomenclature, but what do the T prefix and DC suffix of yours indicate? I have its sibling G5422TG (T for tremolo bridge and G for gold hardware) in WS (Walnut Stain). It's a '22 model with FT-5Es instead of Black Top FilterTrons as well as different fret inlays.

    • @michaelbonanno7476

      I think the DC stands for Double Cut :)

    • @theblytonian3906
      @theblytonian3906 10 месяцев назад

      @@michaelbonanno7476 Nope. Gretsch don't use that acronym for their double cuts. e.g. I have a G5422TG double cut, a G5232T also a double cut, and a G2622-P90 also a double cut. Note the absence of "DC" in any of the Gretsch nomenclature? Gretsch refer to the double cut G5232T as a Duo Jet vs Jet for the G5230T Electromatic. That's their proprietary terminology for DC vs SC.

    Beginning riff is wrong. Notes are (E, G, D/A). You are playing what the BASS plays at the beginning.
    There are more chops on the chords during the versus.
