I took out the drive bay and added an intake fan on the bottom side panel. Temps dropped by 10-20 degrees. All the stutters I was getting disappeared. So if you're noticing some high temps on your CPU or any throttling/stutters then I highly recommend adding a fan to your system. 92 mm fans fit perfectly. Can drill holes for bigger 120mm if needed. $8 sata to fan controller and a PWM 92 mm Fan for $7-11 brings out the full potential to this computer. Along with added more storage and ram. Download GPU-Z and monitor your computers temps. Before I was reaching the max CPU thermal limit on SC2 and CoD MW, and was getting stutters all over the place. After this mod everything was back to normal.I build computers, and this was a must do mod IMO. pretty easy to do also. Just touch the side of your computer and you can feel how hot it gets. Of course depending on what you're doing with this. Light gaming and editing and this PC shouldn't break a sweat. But throw in some demanding games and temps rise like crazy.
If you are klutz like me and are not concerned about the appearance of your computer here's the lazy person's alternate approach to bluex610's suggestion. To solve the problem of the lack of a proper intake fan, you can replace the side case panel with a similar sized laptop cooler pad standing on its side. From my experience, the best results are a multi-fan cooler (2-5 fans) blowing inward. I used the Rosewill (Newegg house brand) RWNB16A Notebook Cooling Pad (5 fans, 3 modes & 6 power settings). As of 1-31-2020 it was about $15 + tax and free shipping on Amazon. Power the cooler using one of the USB ports on the back of the case. Secure the cooler pad to the case top with a bent paper clip to prevent it from falling over. Not pretty to look at, but it seems to help.
