When I did my walk I stopped at this place to eat breakfast (the Pilgrim breakfast of stale bread and coffee just didn't get it done) and had 4 eggs, an entire plate of potatoes (French fries, of course), and an inch thick slice of ham. Great memories
It’s great to- for once- have a running commentary by someone who knows the birds are kites ( not eagles, as some American suggested) who pronounces both French and English reasonably corrected, who has a working knowledge of European history and doesn’t come with eternal criticism because the food isn’t what Americans are used to.

Thank you for this! I try to put thought into it, but that’s fed by an unquenchable curiosity so isn’t too hard. The difficulty is being accurate!
