I find it hilarious when you crouch down to look in the camera to address us. Keep up the kind-hearted humour. It’s one part of what makes you so watchable!
Steve! We love you. Don’t even worry about the comments, people are so silly and rude to people it’s awful. Love the t-shirt design and don’t change the lo-fi aspect of your videos. That is part of your charm. Alright, let’s continue 🧡
You are such an artist! I am a hobby sewer who likes to work with leather and I learn so many things from you. And I’m being better about taking my cowboy boots in for maintenance before there is a real problem
So much time, effort, passion, sweat and tears go into perfecting something that is not theirs. This opens my eyes that passion is found in every trade/ career! That's where the price comes from… their passion! Love this!
Steve you seem so genuine and your work is very difficult requiring focus and lots of "gathered and made" experience. I saw a picture of your building on Google Maps and it stands out as an individual Craftsman Style Structure. Seems to me like all of your stars are aligning just like your skills in leather goods restoration made this bag as perfect as it will ever be in our lifetime. It's cool if the shirts aren't a blushing success. It's the awesome restorations and your genuine individualism we come to listen to and see. So, please continue.
Your charm is that you dont know how it all works, Your on our team. My Mom was a designer of mostly women's dresses, for rich people vacationing on the beaches of Florida. She also made Mens dinner Jackets, I was a very tall kid, so I got the job of standing there with my arms out while she pinned the material. She could do anything with a sewing machine, she taught all 4 kids how to make our own shirts. I always wore one of a kind clothes. We were a little on the poor side as far as money, but rich in the way of enjoying life. I still hear the sewing machine she used, when you are working, brings back great memories. She could cook, sew, and watch 4 crazy kids all at one time. She used to call us her little tribe of Indians.
Steve, the negative comments irritate me, because WE are getting a gift from you!!!!! & yes- I am human & even as 57 yr. old grandmother, I have said the same thing. I get angry, which is a weak moment so I slip up.This is why when I saw your video I moved right on. This is a moment between you and Him & it's up to Him to forgive not that person. Anyway FANTASTIC job on the LV!!!! It is great that it will last a very long time!!!! Take care & God Bless. "He knew us before we were born."
I'm a leatherworker and I just love these videos. It's not so much that I learn stuff, it's more like being in a shop and having a buddy working next to you and you're shooting the shit. Leatherwork is a rare and lonely profession.
Great video and as usual, the amazing Steve quality of work on display. I've got to say though, for something that expensive, I'm surprised at the finishing under the lining. You'd think they wouldn't be leaving all that excess thread behind.....
Steve I love the shirt and if the exchange between the us and Canada doesn’t make the T-shirt ten million bucks I’m ordering one.I love beards, bedos and designer bags 🤣🥰. Please don’t change the way you are....that’s why I watch
You are doing brilliant it is fascinating to watch these machines work up close don’t let anybody get you down with their negative comments it is also brilliant to have your 14 year old design your t/shirts continue
Steve, your videos are fantastic! Your skills are amazing and it is scary to think that all this kind of skill and craftsmanship is being lost over time. And, to be honest, your work on an LV bag makes it better than it was when it left the factory. ;-) and, yeah, it is a bit scary when the blade comes out, but as always, when it's all done, it is better than new! And t-shirts... feckin' cool! I'm in! maybe need a thumbs up in there, too!!!
Hi! Great video, great work! My mother was a huge fan of LV back in the 70’s and 80’s. As a kid she would take me to I. Magnins in downtown Seattle where she would pick out designer dresses they would actually make for her using the patterns from France, and she would always buy a new LV bag for every dress. The dresses were great but the bags all looked the same to me with that same pattern on every one. I didn’t pay much attention tho because then we would have a fancy lunch with my dad who worked downtown and they would both get plastered meaning I got to stop off at an old bookstore called Shorey’s where I could get some sci-fi Asimov or Heinlein vintage books I was really into as a kid. In those days all she had to do was take any damaged bag back to Magnins and they would repair the bag for free. The bags were licensed to be made in the US by something called The French Company. LV will still repair anything they make but charges almost as much for the repair as a new bag costs i.e. > $1000.00. Repairs for the US are still done in California, San Dimas I think, but that was a few years ago when I got a strap repaired for my mom who was thoroughly pissed-she said the whole point for paying so much for coated canvas bags was the fact that LV stood behind their work for a lifetime. Times change I guess.
Thanks for another great video! You have now become a brand name in craftsmanship, and maybe should consider your own line of belts, wallets, purses, etc.
I just discovered your RUclips channel. Love, love, love your videos. Much respect for your craftsmanship. You display passion, knowledge, and understanding for what you do. Plus, you have great sense of humor. Keep up the great job. I might have to send my 🎒. 😃
I rewatch your videos every couple months in several days marathon. LV canvas amazes me. To think if it tar coated, it would be tar paper, add wood powder and heat to the PVC coating and it would be linoleum, but LV csnvas is canvas stretched slightly, coated with PVC, and the tension on the canvas is released as it cools to give it the pebbled effect, then it is painted with layered designs and sprayed with protective clearcoat. Amazing. Tougher than leather.
I make bags and as always you did a great job. I feel that the weed hacker line helped give the bag a nicer structure than what it had originally. I’m going to try using it. Thanks for the tip.
You nailed it - love your sense of humour, especially when you need coffee for shaking hands...lolol...love also the logo for your upcoming merch...I know for a fact that if ever one of my LV's need a little TLC, only you will I trust. Love your videos, thanks for sharing 👍 from Ontario, Canada
Thank You for the uploads; I always learn so much watching you. s (below) comment about finding previous repair marks is pretty funny, but hey! maybe it won't be such a throw away world someday and someone will find your marks! It's a good thought anyway... Your son is very talented. Whatever you decide will be okay, but the logo you showed on the video today looks pretty good - I even know who it's supposed to be... and that's an accomplishment in itself.
Whole lot o' shakin' goin' on!!!! Great repair as always. Coffee cups and t-shirts with "let's continue" & "let's get started" logos. Good natured presentation style works every time.
Love the bag videos! Usually USA bags are made in California. I believe they opened up a factory in Texas recently. France sends over the parts and they’re assembled in the USA in Louis Vuitton factories. Some are also made in Italy and Spain.
The bag turned out great. I like the shirt picture and logo. Once you get going on your shirts you need a picture of your hammer and a hammer time design!
Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us!! It's amazing and fascinating watching you do what u do! Your handbag videos are my favorite! I think your videos are awesome... god bless and love in tx!👍💗
I like the shirt. I chuckled a little bit when you showed it. It’s one of those things that only people who watch your videos will understand. Your video quality is improving also. Looks a lot better than when you started out. I wouldn’t worry about offending people. Some of us just have a different sense of humor. I think your videos are fine the way they are. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Steve - that bag was made in San Dimas, California. That is where their factory is. If you look on the date code inside, it says SD and then four numbers; the SD is San Dimas. ;-) Btw, I am learning a lot watching these videos. Very cool indeed.
@@laurena5070 yeah they are.... Not sure about how watchable it's gonna be but they're making it. It's hilarious how they're using the phone booth and everything when they are pretty much non-existent these days. Half the younger kids will be asking what in the heck is that box thing
Another great video, thank you for your efforts. Struggling to see why these bags are so expensive? Not seeing anything that's higher quality or significantly better made than a lot of other stuff on the market?
Your videos are perfect the way they are - very interesting, informative, and relaxing to watch. I wouldn't change a thing if I were you. As they say, 'Haters go home. Leave him alone, ' lol. You're doing fine with the videos. The men's shoes - cordovan leather ones - man what a job; but it showed me exactly how to redo shoes. I reupholster chairs, make curtains etc [seems everyone wants their's done] so I find the deconstruction of the items very riveting; the finished products are like, 'Who would have known.' One day I'll have to send you something from Goodwill that's ratty and natty, just so you can autograph it once it's done. My daughter is a purse collector - she's always having mishaps with them. But, keep up the good work; don't change a thing on your videos - you're doing fine; small comfy shop, a real working shop.

I was having a heart attack watching you take that bag apart. Great job! Only one criticism, Louis Vuitton bags are known for their thin piping. One mark of a phony bag is thick piping. Oh well! I love the bag videos.
I have a shoe repair shop and I’m learning so much from you !! I took over the business from my dad and as a woman I did not think that I could do it. 12 years later I’m still running the shop and doing well Can I ask you what leather and thread you use for the lo bags ? You are amazing
I repaired mom's bag recently. Have used the weed wacker line. Would've never made the connection despite knowing that the stuff is very durable against flexing. So thanks!
First of all congratulate you for the magnificent work done. I would be very happy to have a teacher like you. Out of curiosity, what price would that work be? Thank you and best regards from Spain.
Hi Steve, as a person who sews I love watching how these bags and shoes go together. I hope your customer liked the larger piping, I think it looks stylized and the work is lovely. LOL I think you enjoy ranting about the complaints, you make me laugh with it. Regarding your logo design, I see you with a salt/pepper goatee rather than a full dark beard. Also know that we see your hands much more, maybe add a hand with a coffee cup or tool.
I turned the other cheek once. After the Shetland Pony I was standing near kicked me I ended up with a sore ass. After that I stopped turning the other cheek.
Thank you for your tips!! I'm planning to do a DIY project using old LV canvas and make a new bag, Is there any materials or tools I should purchasing? I'm a beginning but I would like to give this a try!!!
I love your sence of humour, it's very dry. Don't worry about it, their will always be someone who doesn't get it or takes it seriously. Please don't change anything. I don't get why those bags are so expensive. It's mostly canvas with a bit of leather trim. And because it has their logo all over it, it's a bit like carrying a Tesco carrier bag. Hey Steve, you are great and do a great job. I love vlofs, and wish people would think about the stupid comments and questiona. If they cannot be supportive then why dont they go watch something else.
OMG First Hammering, then Sneezing! Back in the old days we just used a rock, then if we sneezed we just held our noses, and waiting for our head to explode. And we liked it, we loved it..lol
Trying to learn the trade. It’s a pleasure to work with leather and I’m constantly practicing to improve my amateur skills. I learn a lot from you and I enjoy your entertainment. Thanks Greetings from Berlin
The 14yo did a good job! I was expecting either a “thumbs up” or the French hammer with “cover your ears” but “let’s continue” had to make the cut. 😁 Great work on the bag. The trick of using a darker thread in the bobbin is a trick I’m definitely stealing. Thanks!! Even though you say there was color variation, I’m sure a little time exposed to life will have it looking the same as the original leather, right?
Hi steve I love your channel I'm wondering if I could have some advice if it's not to much trouble to ask you just purchased a new set of leather shoes but with a rubber sole the size I usually buy. I wanted to wear them in London but after half day walking round the west end. In London. With the family I couldn't bare the pain anymore. There quit expensive. And would hate to not have the chance to wear them again would shoe stretchers work by any chance even though the soles are just rubber. Don't want to ruin them but man they are killing my toes. Would they work for my purpose I would say there casual shoes. I really am thinking they have been labelled up the wrong size. but now that I've now wore them I can't send them back. Big hi from across the pond by the way.UK You do some amazing work buddy. And that tour of the shoes and trophy you won for them was amazing. You have some mad skills brother love to own a pair of your shoes new of course. Lol Something in your trophy case really caught my eye. Would have to look back on your previous video but wow they blew me away. Wish we had guys like this but I see the trade is getting a rare find these days. Hope you can give me some advice. My mrs took a photo with me and my 2 kids a day out in london in one of the parks and had to take them off just to give my feet a rest. If you need a picture of what they looked like. All the best hope to hear from you steve and enjoying your strong coffee in the mornings.
Mark Grevatt Well its difficult to assess the problem with out Inspecting them, I don’t think it would hurt to stretch even with rubber soles. So find a reputable cobbler where you are and have them stretched. Good luck
@@BedosLeatherworksLLC thanks steve I was wondering if if was to purchase some shoes trees and maybe giving the a go myself. But if you thinks it's better to goto a cobbler I will take your advice and fine a cobbler near me. Thanks again for a quick reply loving your channel all the best mate.
@@BedosLeatherworksLLC thanks steve I was under the impression there was shoe trees out there that can be used for stretching. But as you say may need to goto my local cobbler and see what they can do thanks for the advice 👍👍👍
Hey Steve, Steve here. Maybe try lighter fluid (Naptha) instead of alcohol to clean stuff. I use it for loads of things and it evaporates really fast. Safe on most everything..

Don't ever stop with your joking, I love it. I'm wondering how I missed this video. Temp blindness I assume
Steve, that piping foot...looks like it would be hard to turn a radius, more for straight shots?
Alger C. Actually it would be ok
Love the logo! Put it on a mug too please ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love the t-shirt idea! But it's missing your signature thumbs up! I find myself doing a thumbs up in reply when you do it...crazy!
Shirts are a great idea! I want one!
Love your videos I have the same Adler 167. Love the Maschine

Trying to learn the trade. It’s a pleasure to work with leather and I’m constantly practicing to improve my amateur skills.
I learn a lot from you and I enjoy your entertainment. Thanks
Greetings from Berlin
Hi Steve what kind of leather condition do you recommend? Thanks
Eliza Stoner Eliza Bick 4 is good
The 14yo did a good job! I was expecting either a “thumbs up” or the French hammer with “cover your ears” but “let’s continue” had to make the cut. 😁
Great work on the bag. The trick of using a darker thread in the bobbin is a trick I’m definitely stealing. Thanks!! Even though you say there was color variation, I’m sure a little time exposed to life will have it looking the same as the original leather, right?
You do amazing work, there is nothing to cringe about except the way some things come in to you looking 😂
I'd totally buy a shirt! And a leather Bedo's bag, coin purse, checkbook cover, iPad case.... :D
Love it when you take apart the LV bags. It's probably because I can't afford one, so tearing one apart is funny to me. Love your videos!
Beautiful work Steve! Even the Hammer Nazis should be happy with this one!
Great work. I'd go with goatee on the T shirt personally, but hey, what do I know. All the best . T
I think it’d be so cool to have the “L” in Let’s continue as the LV logo. What do you think?
Haha, right when I was cringing, you said “some people cringe”. You’re the expert! Gotta add some gray to the beard, you’re experienced, advertise it.
Some people can be so precious about things these days. Just CHILL people and don't sweat the small stuff :)))
Hi steve I love your channel I'm wondering if I could have some advice
if it's not to much trouble to ask you
just purchased a new set of leather shoes but with a rubber sole the size I usually buy. Big hi from across the pond by the way.UK
You do some amazing work buddy.
Mark Grevatt
Well its difficult to assess the problem with out Inspecting them, I don’t think it would hurt to stretch even with rubber soles.
Mark Grevatt shoe trees just keep the shape they don’t stretch
@@BedosLeatherworksLLC thanks steve I was under the impression there was shoe trees out there that can be used for stretching. But as you say may need to goto my local cobbler and see what they can do thanks for the advice 👍👍👍
Hey Steve, Steve here. Maybe try lighter fluid (Naptha) instead of alcohol to clean stuff. I use it for loads of things and it evaporates really fast. Safe on most everything..
How was piping done before plastic tubes like that? Was it just not a thing?
