The interview was really cool, learned a lot about James. I’m glad he’s in a much better place considering some of the obstacles he’s faced in life. His dad would for sure be proud.

Yeah I don't like how the high school kids also beat the first dude with his toilet. He obviously made it for fun, the other where tryhard trying to beat him.
Same for that desk, it's just a kart and they are tryhard to beat the other dude with a whole box office.
I bought 2 of them when Boss Hoss was going into bankruptcy. They are not easy to drive. Sold them to a local restaurant owner with way to much money. Thought I was going to have to strip the motors.
I have a friend that has a motorised bar stool, literally just a stool/wheel and motor - uses it on race days to cruise around the pit area.

@@Deja117 I had a look but couldn't find the picture I was thinking of - Eddie Pinkham is a crazy fast driver (won a stage of the FIA Asia-Pacific Rally), but we used to do track-days (his Nissan GTR was wicked fast). He was known for taking 8-hour repair jobs and doing them in an hour. Has an electrician business and his kids are playing in motorsport down in New Zealand and winning (my car is in hibernation - I miss it).

I'm sad that no one brought up the desk that Conan O'Brien drove on his old late night show. Truly a pioneer and an obvious inspiration.
"its not really a jetsky" well neither is that thing really a desk lol, its an electric gokart with some plywood nailed to it
The jetski actually looks identical to a real jetski but has 2 wheels. The desk-bullshit looks like a gokart/buggy with an object which could be considered a desk or just some crappy wood front clip. Huge difference.
James mentioned recently on Past Gas that having totally different opinions day-to-day is something he's working on and now I notice it all the time.
Throwing shade on these builds for tacking the object onto a cart while in a cart with a desk tacked on
Difference might be that they fully engineered the vehicle around the desk, where-as like with the jetski bike, the jetski body was slapped ontop of the existing vehicle.
I think maybe enjoy the entertainment and calm down. 😊

The world's fastest shed deserved to be on the list. 450 hp V8 from an RS4, 103 mph on a half mile, it's gone drag racing and is fully road legal.

the bar stool is as much a bar stool as your desk is a desk. you just have a hopped up gocart with a desk mounted on the front
The Jetski Bike is just a costume but his gokart with a table as a bumper is a real desk

if the go kart with the desk bolted to it didnt have than extreme camber, it would have cornered better. even under compression, only a quarter of the tread was contacting the ground....

Sad thing is that this does better with less production than other of their show. That's why I don't get sweaty following specific channels anymore as they all need to bring the bucks at some point and it means favoring viral videos.
Super sad not having some of the shows they had with more technical/car culture content, having people like Jerry who's great at simplifying some engineering principles etc and Jobe who is great at going through demos of service work and mods. I'd have been gassed to have some of the older content when I was just starting to work on cars at 17/18
Guys are still charismatic so they do a good job at the new style of content, but it's a shame
