As we head into our final 3 episodes I want to drop some of the freshest theories I’ve been able to think of and see how well they might help solve the case of who Viktor Sams is and who killed Imogene’s mother?

Episode 7 also offered the theme of moles. Celia Chun has a mole on her face. If you pay attention during the montage when Imogene is moving through the Collier house, when Tripp/Anna are watching the Simpsons, the character Hans Moleman is on the screen; when Llewellyn is singing the Elton John song, we notice he has a mole on his face in the same spot as Celia Chun; immediately after when Kira is reading Tripp/Anna a bedtime story, Kira says the word "mole." Is this to imply there is a mole in the Colliers' operation? Does Kira qualify as a mole since she tried to whistleblow them? I'd say so. Llewellyn did tell Rufus the "truth" was staring him in "the face." The face could mean the similarity in the face b/w Kira and Hilde, or it could mean the moles on multiple faces. "Truth" is also the decoder word for Rufus' journal that Imogene figured out when she was a kid. Rufus later says "truth" failed me.
I really like this because even when Imogene’s mom was reading the book to Ana and Tripp one of the lines says something about “Mr Mole” a character in the book but none the less fits the theme of moles

regarding twins, I think it might be Keith/Danny. when you see him interacting with the detective, he's reacting with disdain at the mess of the room - and yet, his room on the boat is even worse, as Imogene saw before his death. so perhaps one is a neat freak, the other a slob? maybe one works for the detective, and the other works for Sams?
I’ve been thinking this whole weekend that this might be the case
We only have sunil’s friend’s word that the date on that invoice was 2005. Also maybe Danny was the Ivy League assistant that Lawrence didn’t like. I also still don’t know why Lawrence is forever drinking that blue drink. And I still do not trust Hilde. She and Jules shared a knowing smile briefly so either they’re working together on something good or something bad. Also the one and only character who has flown above suspicion the entire time is Tripp. Just saying! Also all of the colliers are having affairs - Anna, Tripp, Katherine, but we don’t know about Lawrence he is such a mystery to us. Ok that’s my brain dump for now.

Yea there is something sinister about Hilde I’m trying to figure out! Yea Tripp is under the radar but I don’t think much is going on with him. Hahaha def appreciate the brain dump tho!
If Sunil was Lawrence assistant wouldn't they all recognize him and mention it at some point? We're running out of suspects i'm beginning to think Leia the journalist might be Victor Sams🙂
The thing about Imogen's mothers death is it was a car explosion. If it was the Mrs. Collier who did it would she really do a car explosion. The truck was there because that's how she escaped and has spend the least 18 years or however long trying to get justice against the Colliers. Maybe working with Grandma Chung all this time. Maybe she is Victor Sams.
We're still missing key info in the story to really make any real guesses on who is Victor Sams. I'm thinking it's a small group of people.
One last thing, i don't think the young woman i wanna say Win is her name, who said she killed Danny. I don't think that's true. If she had actually killed him they would have shown it to us when she admitted it. Danny is killed in such a crazy way hanging on to the wall that they will eventually show us how he ended up on the wall.
Great point about Sunil but how many times have they seen him or has he been in front of the colliers

I think Winnie did do it cause she mention Imogene in the room breaking Keith’s watch

@@NerdsAtNite Well then we are back to the same problem as the Mom being Hildi. The idea that they don't recognize them is a little far fetched.
Winnie could have been told about Imogene being in the room..
Maybe and this is a bit out there theory. But Maybe Danny isn't dead. It's a ploy to lure out Victor Sams. Cotesworth, Imogene's Mom, Hildi all working together and that's why everyone is on this ship together, they've made that happen to try and finally find out who Sams is.
Ohhhh yea I like that theory I’ve been thinking lately as I made this video what if there is more to Danny than we are giving him credit for
@@basquat76 I like the idea that Danny is NOT dead, or-- as @NerdsAtNite suggested--Danny is a twin.
In the opening montage that we see every episode, we see Danny’s body bag-and then it shakes, like the body is moving. This fits in with the numerous fake imagery, from the fake house that becomes a dollhouse, to the fake sky that becomes a swimming pool, to the fake beach trees that becomes a wall painting.
So, yes: if Danny is still alive, he’s working behind-the-scenes with Rufus. How did he fake his death? A human-like dummy, that was pinned to the wall? A stretch, but maybe.
@@117Derek Well i assumed it was Coteswoth and Hildi who handled the body so it could be him hanging there pretending to be dead or a dummy.
But i just remembered that he switched rooms with somebody and Winnie said she was just told to kill the person in that room. They never told us who he switched room with.
The genius of this show is that ANY of your theories could be true.
My contribution is that I still believe there’s a “class warfare” element to this series-and behind Victor Sams motives. Both Winnie and Imogene’s mother have made comments about Rich & Powerful people being flawed (or evil). If we use that as our "detector” to figure out who Victor Sams is, I have to go with Father Toby. He’s the right age, and works as a Fixer for the Rich & Powerful-and therefore may resent what they do with their power. I also suspect Father Toby/Victor Sams is trying to pit the Rich & Powerful against each other-the Colliers & the Chuns, as a way to bring them down. Father Toby may also have a personal motivation-but I don’t know what it is.
Yea that’s why I had picked father Toby early on as Viktor Sam’s strictly age wise it worked the best and then additional adding in this sorta class warfare idea you mentioned. Yea it’s the why, the motivation part that’s what trips me up but like most murder mysteries the full motivation isn’t revealed til the end
@@NerdsAtNite If Father Toby is revealed to be Imogene’s father, I think the narrative will have officially jumped-the-shark. LOL.
That said, Father Toby could have a “connection” to Imogene’s mother that we don’t know about yet.

We still haven't met Celia's daughter yet, Eleanor's mother? Where is she - the baby Celia had with her husband? What happened to her? And BTW, there are a few people with MOLES on their faces! And OMG, WHY CAN'T AMERICANS PRONOUNCE THE NAME IMOGENE or SUNIL? It's NOT Sun elle which is a girl's name! They are not difficult. Just listen to the way they're pronounced in the series! Oh right, not your strongest skill!

I still think Tripp is sus, but I believe Viktor Sams in the Grandma
Grandma could still be whipping up some more plans and be the big bad I’m not counting that out
Aren't Anna and Imogene the same age? Or at least near the same age? Wouldn't that make it unlikely that they have the same mother?
I don’t think it was ever established they are the exact same age I always figured one of them is older than the other
But as we found out in this last ep they do not share the same mom
