I said after the first or second episode I thought Rufus was the killer because to this day they still have not shown the video he removed which would show Imogene entering Danny's cabin, even though we know he kept it on a USB drive. Obviously, Teddy later confessed to that crime and now other deaths have occurred that have been attributed to her or others - but I keep coming back to that removed video which for some reason the show is still not allowing us to see. I still think Rufus is the big bad, and there was a throwaway line in the most recent episode which emphasizes this to me. Imogene asks him why he does his job (which in her mind is investigating crimes) and he says "for the money". She didn't call him out on it and the line is quickly forgotten, but it makes me even more convinced now that Rufus is Viktor and behind everything. We shall see!
Rick I’m not putting it past the show to make him the big
There’s a few clues already out there like you mentioned that make sense
Just stumbled across ur guys page. Great content. I just say and watched this whole series cuz I saw u guys breaking it down. Nice.
Thank you for the kind words and thanks for finding us
Sad they are doing a season 2 but glad you enjoyed the series
Three Things:
1. Llewelyn was remorseful-and was doing a public confession, but because he was poisoned, he lost consciousness and fell to his death. That’s why Teddy says he was murdered.
2. Laila can’t be a Baddie since she almost died in the auto-crash. Also, Laila’s suspicions had her exploring the ship, and possibly hiding items (like rope & knives) to defend herself against an attack by Victor Sam’s. AND, these hidden items will come into play as the passengers try to defend themselves against the armed men who took over the ship-and force the passengers to play “survivor”.
3. Now to The Problem: the timeline for the Cecilia Chun story does NOT work. She was in her early twenties when Llewelyn paid her off. He was OLDER than her. Now, Cecilia Chun is in her 70s, 80s, or possibly 90s (the actress who plays her is 97 yrs old.). Why is Llewelyn, in the present, not older than Cecilia? Is this a script oversight? OR, is Cecilia’s story part-fake? Is “her” story really her daughter’s story? Why would she lie?
This is brilliant. Love it!
1. Yea that makes sense
It’s not clear but that makes sense
2. Yea as I talked it out I was like idk if she’s bad but those clue items def gotta come back into play
3. So the story starts 50 years ago when she met her husband she was 20/25 is what it looks like
Ten years later age 30/35
Her husband gets poisoned
She sees lewellen who looks old even then
I think it’s a show choice if they could’ve picked a younger actor but just decided to go with him as an artistic choice
20 years after that she now age 50/55 when Imogene’s mom finds her
20 years after that she’s on the ship 70/75
Her age lines up with how old she looks
Lewellen would’ve been 20-ish cause now he’s 60-ish it was a weird creative choice to not de-age him more or pick a younger actor I think that’s all it was tho they were trying to get the point across it was him who had her take the money
But why would he crawl over the railing and make it look like he's about to commit suicide if only to confess?
Maybe the women, i wanna say Teddy is her name, knew there was poison in the bottle and saved him and the suicide was a trick and he's not actually dead.
@@basquat76 right like that’s what makes that whole thing kinda sus to me like why do all that showmanship why get out on the ledge that far he was never planning to off himself so why did he change his mind?
That’s why I moved him back up the list cause what if he’s not dead what if he’s in on the plan of it all
@@NerdsAtNite It's so tricky cause he does specifically say he's like a cockroach and will stay to the end and then commits suicide. It has to be a trick but then the poison comes in. Oh they make it difficult for us🙂
I think the world’s greatest detective became Viktor Sams after killing him.
I would not be surprised if the show goes that direction
God I hope not. Poor Imogene. But would be fun Princess Bride reference.
Katherine (To Anna): "I gave you everything. A last name that opens doors. A future of your choosing. The power to fall in love. And screw it up. And to have whatever life you want. I made a promise to God and I kept it. I held this family together!" Katherine (To Toby): "And Toby... ____ you!" This was my favorite moment of the series.
Once she said that I started laughing soo hard 😂
On the Hilde/Kira issue: It's been 18 years! The person they know is dead. They aren't going to think they are the same person. We can recognize the similarities because we see the two women within half an hour of each other. When the average person recognizes another, it's not solely based on how they look but their mannerisms, how they carry themselves, how they sound. Many celebrity impersonators just vaguely resemble a celebrity but pull it off because of the mannerisms.
The 3 people most familiar with her: Llewellynn - Started flirting with Hilde / he was infatuated with Kira.
Imogene - Hilde is her rival, gotta solve it before she does. Imogene is not looking closely at Hilde. We know Imogene gets tunnel vision for what she is currently working on.
Lawrence - Spent a lot of time with Kira. Hasn't crossed paths with Hilde until episode 8. After their interaction, he thinks Imogene is Kira - possibly from having recognized Hilde as Kira.
Ok I can hear that it does seem like tho that logic is in defense of the shows not great way of handling that situation if that’s the case
I’d feel more comfortable with that if any comment was made about anything any characteristic tied to Hilde
So I’m not saying you’re wrong I’m saying if there was more evidence pointing in that direction I’d stop beating the dead horse that is the unrecognizability factor
Lawrence didn't actually say he killed her, he said he made a phonecall assumingly to order a hit on her, but that would be the lawyer he called cause he does all his dirty work for him, as we see with him paying of Cecilie Chun. And he was in love with Kara so would he really kill her? Last episode they kept bringing up a mole. I'm thinking the lawyer is Karas mole in the Collier family cause she is still alive and could possible be Hildi. He even told Rufus he's a hack because the truth is staring him right in the face which could be literal. Llewelyn is staring him in the face as he says it.
It's still very much on the table that Hildi could be Kara.
@@basquat76 yea thats what I was trying to point out in the vid like did he really kill her or was he around a series of events that led to that and yea the mole point theres still something to that I think
I will say there is an Agatha Christie book of which I won't spoil the title in case someone reads it later where a woman's husband is presumed dead for a number of years. She meets and falls in love with another man and it turns out it was really the "dead" husband all along. Without getting too personal or adult-themed, you would think she would have recognized at least some of his body LOL. But yes in this case, while it is possible they wouldn't recognize Hilde, someone out of all of them who knew her surely would. Which makes me think if she is Kyra, some of them know she is.
@@MathewRyan111 yea how is she not gonna recognize his penis? Thats a big question right there lol
Another great Video! Let’s Gooooooooooo! 🎉🎉🎉
🙌🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥 thank you fam!
Regardless of how it ends... i sadly dont know that we will get a season 2 so i hope they really amaze us with the ending
Yea they really have to stick the landing other wise this is maybe a one and done
I think it gets a whole new cast for season 2
Ohh like an anthology maybe just Rufus coming back so the detective can stay the same
I don't think Llewelyn is dead. Actually I will walk that back a half-step. He might have been poisoned, not have known it, faked his suicide and then died from the poison so in that case he might be dead. I guess my main point is that I think his suicide was a fake. Hilde says she has his body so either he's dead or she's in on it but I am very willing to believe that Hilde was in on whatever Llewelyn was up to. Idk--I have a thing in mysteries that, when something is done in a showy way (like the argument about the watch, or that dramatic suicide) it's intended to be seen by the other characters and likely in order to mislead them. Maybe this is because I act in mysteries and we do focus-pull moments, or even "travel" scenes (repeat interactions multiple times around the room), that the audience needs to see, so my brain--rightly or wrongly--looks at certain set-ups and thinks, "Oh, that's a focus-pull."
That’s awesome you act! And that you have this insight cause you may actually be right
The closer we get to the last episode the more I think there’s something more going on with Lewellen and his “death” than we actually know
Are we to believe from the end of the episode that the small boat is now gone? Only so many people who could have taken it. Have we seen Toby since Katherine cursed him out? Also did I imagine it or did we hear a taze or some kind of zapping sound right before Llewellyn went overboard? We haven't seen his body. It is suspicious Anna was alone with Katherine's dead body. And is the dude who's there from Victor Sams the same dude that Anna has been talking to on the phone, the dude who she thought was at a little league game on one episode? So many q's.
Yea I didn’t see the boat I’m guess someone took it or is using it
Haven’t seen Toby the latter part of the episode
And so people said that but I feel like if that was the case it would be in the subtitles for the show during that scene and I just hadn’t noticed that yet
Are you saying Anna is playing everyone and that she is in on the Viktor sams thing?
How wild would that be?
Theories Catherine was being blackmailed or took over the blackmail from Lawrence
Lawrence called in the kill hit on imogens mom...
Catherine killed Lawrence not sure why
Victor sams (whoever they are) planned on not letting anyone on that boat get out alive from the get go
Yea the last one I can get down with
I think Viktor Sams found the opportunity to off everyone at once and is planning on taking that chance
That was some episode. Stuff went down. I do love the twist about Lawrence having early stage dementia. It was in our faces the whole times and none of us thought it. That's a good twist.
Katherine being killed i think was probably Anna who did it out of anger.
There's not really any obvious suspects left to who is Victor Sams. I almost feel no matter who it is it will be disappointing.
The lawyer does say he has a file full of everyone's secrets, and if he's still alive that could mean he blackmailed the Coliers and is possible even Victor Sams. So last bid before the end is the lawyer is behind it all. It's not a confident bid but it's all i got🙂. This show has really done a good job messing with us.
So the priest son should up briefly just to remind us he's still there filming everything. What he's filmed is still gonna come into play.
I didn’t want to sound too crazy but I agree with you why do you think I moved lewellen up the list even tho he’s “dead” and yea I like that Anna killed her mom cause like just from what we’re given who else could it be? Yea there’s some good twists so far and yea that’s what it has to be with that Derek he has to have footage that will help crack the case
@@NerdsAtNite I agree with you that if it's someone from the outside that we saw maybe in tiny flashback would be the absolute worst outcome. It has to be someone on the boat.
I'm really looking forward to the last two episodes. Did you say it was double episode next time?
Yea they are someone on the boat we met even Rufus says that and yea the last two episodes will be released all at once
@@NerdsAtNite Nice, next Wednesday i'm gonna a fantastic evening🙂
@@basquat76 yeaaa you deserve it after all these guesses and comments the whole season 😀
Only truely innocent people are reporter chick ... father toby's kid (forgot his name 😅) and probably imogen... jules too because he was only using theboat to take people to safety illegally but hes not apart of the Sams club ... get it😂
Good little dad joke there at the end lol 😂
Yea that Derek is def innocent cause it’s lining up in a way that he has info on his phone that will crack the Case
@NerdsAtNite gosh ... I hope if this goes on dvd or Blu ray we have a special feature that is just from Derek's pov
That would be cool if they did that
The only ones that are not connected to the story at all, are the Derek and Jack, I think they need to do something with those characters
Yea that Derek is def getting shine in the next episode but idk who Jack is?
Oh LOL I thought that was the name of the brother. He was just having an affair with the governor, but is that it? I don't think he is bad, but he should have more story, you were talking red herrings and I think that he acting so dumb is one
Ahh Lawerence the 3rd aka Tripp
Yes he needs more to do but yea he’s way down on my suspect list
Watch any murder mystery it’s never the hot head
The thing that bugs me about That Derek, from a story perspective, is that he's either under-used or overused. They present him as a main character--he's in the big line-up at the start of the series, where Teddy runs down the guests (aka suspects--that is absolutely a classic murder mystery "here is your list of suspects" line-up.) And then they do almost nothing with him. If he's a main character/suspect, as he was positioned to be, why is he so uninvolved? If he's comic relief, why did he get positioned as a main character at the start? The only things that would make sense for me would be if a) the actor were a social media star that they're using as a hook for younger viewers (which he doesn't seem to be) or b) there were a whole That Derek promo thing happening on Instagram, IRL (which I haven't seen, but I'm not on Insta much.) Then it basically makes sense to highlight him early but not give him much screentime on the show. Otherwise, I'm puzzled about why they've handled the character this way, which makes me wonder what we don't know about him.
@@GayleenFroese yea there’s very few murder mystery’s I’ve seen where all the suspects are not atleast questioned some how some way, I think back to evil under the sun Mrs Gardner was not questioned so she was an easy person to deduct from the list of suspects but I agree that involving that Derek more would be better instead of how they are handling him unless of course his big thread is in the next episode and they have been saving that
Hopefully they do that and don’t just leave him by the way side after introducing him as a prime suspect the way they did
