- Yajaira Tirado, 28, and Jacob Krueger, 25, were arrested on Monday on child neglect charges after a deputy found them passed out and frothing at the mouth while their two-year-old was walking on US 1. The boy, wearing only a dirty diaper and covered in bug bites, was rescued by two passing motorists, as seen in a body camera video released by the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

Yep
I mean as a childcare worker who has a degree in my field, I don't think that's that abnormal. Young children will do that, regardless of their home life. It is not so easy to just trust children at their word. They say things too. To me, it seems this child didn't understand the question. Seems like he has a language delay of some sort. I've met even children from loving homes who have pointed to the wrong person and proclaim them as "mom". In the grocery store once, my nephew was 3 at the time, and he pointed to a random man who looked absolutely nothing like his dad and said "look, there's my dad" and his dad was a very big, safe part of his life. So it's not like he didn't know who his dad was or didn't feel safe, kids just sometimes say things that seem a little off.
So damn sad 😢
@@minxymoo2325 personally I haven’t seen this with my kids. Mama and dada are usually the first words kids can properly understand. At two years old a child should know who it’s mother is.

When a kid has no separation anxiety like that, and is super friendly, even to strangers, that's a red flag that the child may be getting neglected at home. Lol ok
Idk, even I'm not a mom, but I'm aunt of eight, and raised one. If I were in his shoes it'd be hard to hold it in for me too.

@Doppelganger D Super traumatizing lol
Angry dad mode can be worse than angry cop mode.
MY GOODNESS!!!!! What a PRECIOUS little boy! His voice made me melt!!!!!
The way that the cops and the nice people who helped the young child was so sweet! ❤ I just wanted to hug them all. The way that the parents acted and the fact that the little kid said that the nice lady was his mom just shattered me. 😢❤
“We we’re just sleeping” they looked high as hell. They shot up and passed out while the little boy got out.
Yep
“We we’re just sleeping…..pills sleeping pills”
I don’t think I slept really, really deeply until my daughter turned about six. Even then……heck, she just turned 18 last week and I still wake up if I hear her cough at night. Never ever ever NEVER would there have been a time when my 2yo daughter would be running around unsupervised , in the freaking middle of the day, n a filthy diaper as my ex-h and I coma-slept. If we ever napped , one would nap, the other watch our kid…IDK….that’s a Parent’s job( ?
@@PuffyKat probably popped a bunch of Xanax
who the hell sleeps at 2:53pm
The fact that the child warmed up so easily to 3 strangers shows that the child was so deprived of love and attention. He’s such a sweet boy who deserves so much better.
What you said breaks my heart because it’s so true
Exactly this!
Yes! Usually kids wouldn't act so calmly towards other adults picking them up, but this child was super calm and even thought the blonde woman was his mom.
Or he's just friendly
@@AtomicFlounder42 No this is typical of neglected children, a buddy and a relative of mine work at kindergartens and they both told me that.
I love how the little boy plays with the officer it was so cute
What an AMAZING OFFICER.
She’s more upset with the fact that she’s getting arrested than she is with the fact that she could’ve easily lost her child that day… great job officer!
If I end up like that when and if I become a parent take me out and don't hesitate
Exacty, hoe could they let their OWN little child wander off into the road
well yeah, can't do meth in jail.
I’m pretty sure that this couples drug of choice is Heroin. Of course Meth and Heroin often go hand in hand.
That's a sign that a person like her should never have children if they're more concerned about their lives more than their own flesh and blood.
"Full of bug bites", ribs poking out, no clothes no parents outside by the highway. This is insane.
Thank goodness the police showed up. The little boy was so happy to have attention from the police man.
@@Grow3Glow yeah that's another thing: Put aside being run over - what kind of life is that running around all day on your own around a trailer while everyone else is away sleeping.
@@rainerzufall689 not a life at all :(
@Alek Palm-Leis lol
Not to mention a dirty house
The “why!?” when he asked why they were being arrested would’ve set me offfff!! The fact that this is the 2nd time we know of that the baby has been found in the street and I’ve seen people lose their kids for a lot less in my state. Insanity.
Why is this officer a better parent-figure than them!? I’m so happy that those so called “parents” got arrested and hopefully the boy can go to a family where he can be raised by the right people!
As a former heroin addict, these two were not “just sleeping”. They were passed the eff out, and that’s not ok.
Indeed noone just "sleeps" that hard their kids almost dies
Can you believe that people say that crack isn’t harmful? Then you get cases like these and you’re slowly saying “riggggggghhhttt...”
Yeah, they’re pill heads or dope shooters. Either way, most sober people with kids don’t just happen to “fall asleep” in the middle of the day with their partner.
Couldn’t have said it better. Their speech was so delayed and everything. Definitely some form of opiates involved imo
I'm glad you are doing better. :)
The women literally saved this baby's life. They're heroes.
Not hero's, They're just doing what any one of us would do in that situation.
@@user-lb8gc6lz2d Give props were props are due. There were plenty people. I’m sure, who just drove on by seeing a child alone.
Plus, the parents were “sleeping” while their baby was alone outside, roaming around almost getting into the highway and killed.
