It will probably simply be a event vehicle for the next crafting event. But I still want it. The thing is just epic and displays the beginning of the next generation of fighter jets. I still hope though that this thing os going to end up in the tech tree, like the Yak 141. It would be only fair to give france some time with a top notch fighter prototype.
The Mirage 2000 is a legend in india, even people with no interest in military stuff know about it because it has been one of the backbones of the IAF using in the 1999 Kashmir War and several cross border air strikes
I was also in South Africa during that time. I worked at a nameless large aircraft company, repairing/overhauling fuel and oil control devices. As a jet engine fuel control technician at that time, I was tasked with upgrading the mirage main fuel control units to advanced specs. I found this to be the most pleasurable job I'd ever done. Nobody in the whole building knew what the heck I was doing. I worked with the testers to upgrade their rigs to sort old problems. There were times when I thought the Planners and I were the only people who knew what was going on. good times!!

History that Gaijin forgot to mention, the Mirage lllB, lllC, lllE and lllR (also know as the lllBZ, lllCZ and lllEZ, lllRZ) and Mirage F1A(Z) and C(Z) was Also used extensively in Combat in Southern Africa, for example in Angola and on the border of Namibia. The SAAF purchase Mirage lll's back in 1963 when they were being sold to by the French company and kept selling the Mirage until 1970's. Since they were aging at the time, the SA gov, perused to buy the Mirage F1 the A version and C version and refitted retro fit it with HMS which they were able to do in success. They also saw a lot of combat during the time from the 1970's to the 1980's. During the 1980's SAAF and Israel did cooperation which were build to a domestically build a fighter in South Africa named Atlas project. They learned a lot from the Israeli kfrir and Nesher development and help South Africa to build their fighter. They did so to combat the MiG23 at the time, but enter into service after the war.

Some left out history: Pakistan was the second nation after israel to use their Mirage-IIIEPs and Mirage-DPs in combat. They were deployed in heavy ground attack roles during the 1971 Civil War. It also scored air to air kills against Indian Su-7s, Hawker Hunters and Canberra bombers. Not to mention the PAF is still using them after upgrading them under Porject ROSE.
I think the Mirage 2000-5f needs more and better air-to-air missiles because unlike many other top tier the Mirage is quite defenseless compared to other aircraft (F16, MiG29, etc.)

my favourite has to be the Mirage IIIO build just for us Aussies just like the A4-G skyhawk made just for our navy special models no other country had.
Add micas IR for mirage or atleast add possibility to use 6 missiles with 4 magics 2, its unrealistic, yes, like almost all top tier jets, mig29 with R27ER, f16 block 50 with aim7, chinese jets etc...

gaijin with its legendary documentation accuracy... The mirage 2000-5F is a french only stop gap version to get fox 3 capability while waiting for the rafale. It has no air to ground capability whatsoever, having not even the basic gun/ dum bomb firing suite, it is a pure air to air fighter. The -5 Mk2 on the other hand is a multirole fighter but isn't used by france.
REmember the victory is ours trailer from like 8 years ago. i`ve watched it like 7 times today. its so good. I hope you guys (gijin) can do some thing like that in the future.

It was already difficult to use a Mirage 2000 with the planes and missiles that were there, imagine now. It's nice to make nice videos on the Mirage 2000 but we should think about giving the Super 530D it's real performance... When I see that he is unable to go looking for a target above him at 20km distance so much he loses his energy and that he oscillates like an aim9D after 20s. It tends to annoy me a lot and it doesn't make you want to play it anymore especially against F14B, Mig29 and F16 ... For Gaijin... "The Super 530 D has a maximum interception altitude of 24,400 m. Its climbing capacity is 12,200 m and it can intercept a target at a minimum altitude of 60 m. The maximum speed of the missile is close to Mach 5 and its range is 40 km. Mirage-2000s lacked an IRST. That's the main reason why the Indian airforce limited its role to just a ground attack fighter, like the specat jaguars.
