I have this too...feels like you're going to choke every time you swallow :( mine got bad too where I would gag and feels like I won't be able to swallow as some points! That rises up my anxiety:((

This morning I had a banana before anything else and that seemed to help! So I'm going to start doing that every morning. Also just try changing up my diet
I’ve had a chronic cough for 3-4 months now. I’ve tried salbutamol inhaler possible asthma, Nexium for reflux, steroid inhaler, antihistamine tablets orally for allergy. None of these have helped and I’m getting extremely worried, as I’m only able to do phone consults with doctors and it isn’t helpful at all. If there are people here with knowledge, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’ve done a chest X-ray and thankfully that came out as normal. I’ve done a Rast test and this is still being processed. I have no wheezing, oxygen saturation is normal, respiratory rate was normal, and blood pressure may sometimes be a little high but nothing too abnormal. I’m thinking of asking the doctor to refer me to a specialist, maybe a otolaryngologist?
Is it just cough or do you feel heartburn? If it’s accompanied by heartburn then you probably have Gerd and if it is Gerd you’ll have to change up your whole diet. Check on google what is ok to eat then to heal your burned throat tissues you can juice fresh aloe Vera leaves(the inside pulp only) in a blender and drink that in the morning. Then with each meal drink a mix of apple cider vinegar(one table spoon) pinch of Himalayan pink salt and water . Also do breathing exercises - take deep breaths and exhale all the way out till you can’t anymore,this is to strengthen the diaphragm muscles. Hope this helps. I just started getting this cough and burning last week and haven’t been able to sleep since then not to mention being embarrassed with constant coughing while out in public. Been going crazy with researching and these tips have helped. Have got my coughing going from every 15 mins just 4 to 5 times a day
@@zebrastripes3786 hey, appreciate the response, I was extremely fatigued coughing every minute, but now it’s not too bad, I’d have an occasional throat clear every 3 hours or so? I haven’t had any heart burn, but I do remember during my clinical placement having instances where I would breathe in, and when I breathe in too much the left side of my heart would sting like it would burst if i inhaled too much. That was quite concerning, but it subsided after a week. I used to eat food quite late, and I started to have fixed eating patterns which I think helped with whatever issue I’ve been having with coughing or reflux issues. I haven’t gone to the otolaryngologist yet, the wait time was like 3-4 months.. I’ll try out your method and go shopping, dietary changes will definitely help in some way, I’m just glad that my coughing isn’t as consistent as before. Let me know how you go in the comments!

@@guitarpraise6035 Hey, I assumed that my two year long chronic cough was caused by Acid Refulux, but it turns out that it wasn't. I've actually treated my cough by cycling the following antihistamine medication, loratadine, desloratadine, fexofenadine and cetirizine. The doctor noticed in my previous RAST test showing minor allergies to grass pollen and dust mites. I was surprised that my coughing had reduced significantly after 2-3 weeks, even though I was expecting it to take longer, whilst cycling these medications. I would also suggest doing a pulmonary function test to deduct any possibilities of asthma induced coughing.
Yes yes and yes clearing my throat I have medication but I stopped eating hot stuff, barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard, pepper, processed foods, and no greasy foods.

Feels like my throat is closing I’ve been to the ER thinking I’m having an allergic reaction only for nothing to happen. It’s an uncomfortable sensation and I used to get it when I was a kid they had me on this acid reflux medication and it helped but I can’t remember what it was called. I stopped taking it and it went away now that throat closing sensation is back as an adult and I’m sick of it. I get burning then my ears hurt no one ever talks about the gas pain in the ears I swear on it.

Since being on the new diet does it help or heal your sore throat? I’m dealing with the same problems. Had this sore/burning throat for a couple of months now. Talking or eating certain foods make it worst. Doctors still can’t figure out what’s going on. My GI said in a rare case it could be LPR or silent reflux but he wasn’t definite. This is a horrible condition to have. Hope it worked for you.....
Oh my God this doctor just described all my symptoms. I do have acid reflux, but what was confusing for me is I don’t have the heartburn he just described everything from the clearing of the throat feeling like mucus in the back to the tickle in my throat that makes me wake up, coughing and choking at night, oh my God.
Mostly it starts when I wake and don't eat and progressively gets worse until the lump is constant...I will force a burp and no relief. Feels like a bubble stuck in the throat. It's beyond frustrating and sad because people think I'm crazy for what I'm feeling. They think it's nothing.

My daughter had ovarian cancer when she was 12 and had chemo. She is 16 now and ever since she's had acid reflux. She's had an endoscopy done and they say there's a lot of scar tissue and difficult to look all the way. She's had her throat stretched last year and then again last week. Looking at the pics before I wasn't surprised she was having trouble, I'm not a doctor and I could see it needed stretched. She is still having acid reflux though. She doesn't eat much anymore and lost a lot of weight because it keeps coming back up. Even water comes back up. She doesn't complain of heartburn, just it coming back up. What do I need to do?
@@homeofjuve9191 you need to get it looked at because acid reflux can turn into a more serious problem being unattended. You may be able to take medicine but better safe than sorry.
I have the exact same problem and I feel like dying some days...but I drink Apple cider vinegar with the mother every morning I wake up empty stomach and when I go to bed empty stomach it really helps me out and when I skip it in the morning from laziness I pay for it cause then I feel like dying that day. Woke up at 3 a.m. with intense pain in my throat right up to my ears and the back of my neck. I found a cold washcloth and ice pack along with some Tylenol helped. This pain is intense

So I was able to get rid of the pain after having it in my throat for months. I started mixing a half of a teaspoon of baking soda with water once a day in the evening. The pain went away after like 3 days!!!👍👍👍
I don't get reflux in my chest but get the burning in my throat. I am on a low sugar liw carb diet and its working great. Apple cider vinegar and betaine hci tablet with meals
@@tracy9397 you can order on line or health store. They are hydrochloric acid so puts acid in the stomach to help digest food. Go very slowly at first though, just one tablet each meal.

@@homeofjuve9191 the first thing that started to make a real difference with me was cutting out sugar and carb like bread, potatoes, pasta. Look into a keto diet for recipes. Maybe try just 2 meals a day and no snacks. See if that starts to help. I can only go on what helped me. Plenty of water, no carbonated pop or alcahol fir a while. Sorry it boring but reflux is horrid
It started about a week ago when I when to a friends house and drank alcohol. I ended up being drunk. I woke up with a hang over and I threw up a lot. The next day I woke up with a lump feeling in my throat. I would also find myself having the urge to burp and forcing to burp. Thats my symptoms as of right now. I have no idea if this is either globus , acid reflux or GERD
yes alcohol loosens the valve....or the LES.....as does dark chocolate caffein nicotine peppermint etc....have had it a number of years... some people do better giving up gluten... its worth a try.....

My symptoms are off and on. Sometimes the feeling of a lump in my throat makes it feel like I am about to choke. It can be frightening. I don't drink alcohol or smoke.
Take licorice root 2 pinch allow it to boil and add a tea spoon of honey It will help you I was taking for 15 days felt much better And also I gargle with salt water
My doctor told my heart is fine but im having problems with my throat. Im addicted to pop used to eat chocolate not anymore just fast foods and drink pop. I occasionally eat my parents food that they cook to.
I have Low Stomach acid but no heartburn or acid. When i have the indigestion immediately after eating, I can't take a full inhale of breathe or yawn. I have to 'force' burps out, but because i force out for a little relief, although burping doesn't help, i then get excess saliva in my throat. I have to keep swallowing, like my saliva doesn't go down windpipe. The saliva is in my throat, but doesn't go down. I've tried drinking more water, but it doesn't help. How can i ease / get rid of this excess saliva? it is not acid, it's saliva, it doesn't burn and has no taste. Thanks
@@kvnhernandez8 right I wouldn't surgest going to the doctor's as gaviscon causes a load of other health problems the doctor's will give you a stronger version of gaviscon that's not as dangerous
Does anybody get bubbles in their throat after drinking water? I feel like every time I eat everything feels like it’s in my throat if I drink water I get bubbles in my throat for the last few months it’s just been so hard for me but I was referred to a GI specialist and was ordered to get endoscopy I’m kinda scared to get it done, I get anxious over everything

@@zinthiahernandez9582 I just got a fluticanose nasal spray from my dr. It’s beginning to help the ear pain a little. I hope it helps more as the days go by. I also got 40mg omeprozole. I hope this goes away and I don’t have to take it long term.

@@Marssbarss08 They don't ....ppi and anti acids only help the healing if you eliminate coffee, chocolate . some fruits etc from your diet . ppi can harm the kidneys . I stopped taking protonix . I use Ginger, lilly of the desert and melatonin
I've been having my left side of my throat and ear been burning since Dec 2020 I had an heintal hernie which I thought maybe it's because of it but I had surgery on the 18 of may 2021 I thought it would go away once that repaired but it still there ent couldn't find out what was causing it I NEED SOME ANSWERS...
i have severe throat reflex , like mucus is sitting in the throat always , tried some anti acid meds , didnt work , doc has advised to get upper endoscopy for gerd . my diet is oily and shitty not gonna lie

If it is an allergy induced cough, you have to cycle the medication every 3-4 weeks to have a consistent effect.
Apple cider vinegar increases acid so that the muscle can close preventing food from coming up. Preventing acid increases recurrence of gerd
I drink that stuff everyday and night it does work keeping it down. And when I don't drink that stuff I'm dying 🤢

My daughter had ovarian cancer when she was 12 and had chemo. She is 16 now and ever since she's had acid reflux. She's had an endoscopy done and they say there's a lot of scar tissue and difficult to look all the way. She's had her throat stretched last year and then again last week. Looking at the pics before I wasn't surprised she was having trouble, I'm not a doctor and I could see it needed stretched. She is still having acid reflux though. She doesn't eat much anymore and lost a lot of weight because it keeps coming back up. Even water comes back up. She doesn't complain of heartburn, just it coming back up. What do I need to do?
@@homeofjuve9191 you need to get it looked at because acid reflux can turn into a more serious problem being unattended. You may be able to take medicine but better safe than sorry.

I have the exact same problem and I feel like dying some days...but I drink Apple cider vinegar with the mother every morning I wake up empty stomach and when I go to bed empty stomach it really helps me out and when I skip it in the morning from laziness I pay for it cause then I feel like dying that day. Yes a bitter taste on like even slight thrush is common. Definitely the bad taste in ur mouth which leads to ur breathe

So I was able to get rid of the pain after having it in my throat for months. I started mixing a half of a teaspoon of baking soda with water once a day in the evening. The pain went away after like 3 days!!!👍👍👍

I don't get reflux in my chest but get the burning in my throat. I am on a low sugar liw carb diet and its working great. Apple cider vinegar and betaine hci tablet with meals

@@tracy9397 you can order on line or health store. They are hydrochloric acid so puts acid in the stomach to help digest food. Go very slowly at first though, just one tablet each meal.

@@homeofjuve9191 the first thing that started to make a real difference with me was cutting out sugar and carb like bread, potatoes, pasta. Look into a keto diet for recipes. Maybe try just 2 meals a day and no snacks. See if that starts to help. I can only go on what helped me. Plenty of water, no carbonated pop or alcahol fir a while. Sorry it boring but reflux is horrid
It started about a week ago when I when to a friends house and drank alcohol. I ended up being drunk. I woke up with a hang over and I threw up a lot. The next day I woke up with a lump feeling in my throat. I would also find myself having the urge to burp and forcing to burp. Thats my symptoms as of right now. I have no idea if this is either globus , acid reflux or GERD
yes alcohol loosens the valve....or the LES.....as does dark chocolate caffein nicotine peppermint etc....have had it a number of years... some people do better giving up gluten... its worth a try.....

My symptoms are off and on. Sometimes the feeling of a lump in my throat makes it feel like I am about to choke. It can be frightening. I don't drink alcohol or smoke.

I have Low Stomach acid but no heartburn or acid. When i have the indigestion immediately after eating, I can't take a full inhale of breathe or yawn. I have to 'force' burps out, but because i force out for a little relief, although burping doesn't help, i then get excess saliva in my throat. I have to keep swallowing, like my saliva doesn't go down windpipe. The saliva is in my throat, but doesn't go down. I've tried drinking more water, but it doesn't help. I have similar issue. Right now I've been using gaviscon to help with that. I usually take more than the recommend dose tho.
@@kvnhernandez8 right I wouldn't surgest going to the doctor's as gaviscon causes a load of other health problems the doctor's will give you a stronger version of gaviscon that's not as dangerous

Does anybody get bubbles in their throat after drinking water? I feel like every time I eat everything feels like it’s in my throat if I drink water I get bubbles in my throat for the last few months it’s just been so hard for me but I was referred to a GI specialist and was ordered to get endoscopy I’m kinda scared to get it done, I get anxious over everything

@@zinthiahernandez9582 I just got a fluticanose nasal spray from my dr. It’s beginning to help the ear pain a little. I hope it helps more as the days go by. I also got 40mg omeprozole. I hope this goes away and I don’t have to take it long term.

@@Marssbarss08 They don't ....ppi and anti acids only help the healing if you eliminate coffee, chocolate . some fruits etc from your diet . ppi can harm the kidneys . I stopped taking protonix . I use Ginger, lilly of the desert and melatonin
