30 Days of Apple Cider Vinegar vs 15 years of GERD/Reflux

  • I have been on one form or another of acid reflux medication for roughly 15 years. As part of my keto health transformation, nothing would make me happier than to get off of all medications and be free of the chronic ailments that have been plaguing me for years.
Some of my viewers suggested that I might be able to cure my acid reflux / GERD by consuming apple cider vinegar. I decided I'd give it a try for 30 days.
    Here's the tonic recipe:
    2 quarts water
    2/3 cup ACV with mother
    1/3 cup lemon juice
    1/3 tsp Himalayan pink salt
    1/3 tsp powdered ginger
    2/3 tsp ground cinnamon
A few squirts of liquid stevia
Yield is 5-6 servings poured over ice and consumed through a straw to limit contact with teeth enamel.
Prior to trying this treatment, I would encourage you to try the "burp test" I describe in the one year follow-up video (linked below), as that will be a pretty good indicator as to whether this will work for you. It's been 3 years since I started consuming ACV and 3 years I have been reflux free. I currently only drink it once per week, before bedtime. I just put 2 TB in a small glass of warm water and chug it down like a shot. Good luck!

DISCLAIMER: I am not a healthcare professional and this video does not constitute medical advice. I'm just a guy who decided to experiment on himself and share his results. I had switched from Omeprazole to Pantoprazole a number of years ago. After being keto for a while, I reduced from 40mg/day to 20mg/day. When I started the ACV at the beginning of this 30 day experiment, I stopped Pantoprazole completely. Your results may be different than mine and you should consult your physician before quitting any medication.

Doctors are excellent for emergency situations and reducing pain. But when it comes to chronic illnesses, they seem to only be able to put bandaids on the issue.

I’m 32 years old & I started having acid reflux in my early 20s. I started taking ACV tonics a year ago & the heartburn & acid reflux is gone. It’s a miracle drink. Cheers!

I'm getting a lot of comments telling me that it was KETO, not ACV, that cured my reflux. I can tell you that keto helped and it allowed me to reduce my daily dose of Pantoprazole from 40mg/day down to 20mg/day -- but if I went more than 2-3 days without meds, the reflux returned. That's after being on keto for a year. Since starting drinking ACV tonic twice a day, I haven't had an issue since day #4. I am quite convinced that increasing the acid in my system via this tonic is what has freed me from reflux and the associated meds.

This is why I fired my doctor and started managing my own health. I'm a better doctor for myself than anyone ever was for me

Hi from turkey, if you have low stomach asid, you will be sick and sense reflux, so vinegar make your stomach asit level 1-3 ph, so your stomach works good, in addition you can use betain HCL+pepsin for 1-2 month, after that you may reduce HCL and put some vinegar instead of HCL, finally you may continue with vinegar after that , if your stomach asit is good , 1-3 ph, your spinchter will close, spincter is door of stomach and osaphagus , thank you and sorry to my English 😅

happy for you! i have exactly the same feeling - i feel angry or maybe disappointed is the better term to the doctors who prescribed the same medicines like omeprazole and antacids for people with low acid! for a month, i consulted 5 doctors online. i tried the most popular one (he used to have a radio show), a young GI doctor thinking maybe he's updated, and an alternative doctor but they're all thinking the same - that i have too much acid! just last night i discovered i have low acid because i tried aloecure (which has an acid ingredient) and it worked like magic. no more bloating and really uncomfortable indigestion so it means i need acid in my stomach! im from the philippines and i don't know if i can find any functional medicine doctor who will understand my situation.

This is why healthcare is so broken. Treating symptoms, not curing disease, is what is profitable.

I watched this video two years ago when I was losing weight rapidly because I couldn't swallow well with GERD. You encouraged me a lot so I decided to take apple cider vinegar too. Now I am back, fully free of GERD, and eating normally for about a year now. I cannot thank you enough. 💖💖💖

Doctors always spin the tale, "If it works as good as they say, pharmaceutical would be using natural supplements instead." Biggest gaslight phrase ever!

Excellent Steve! I fought this one years ago to a point of surgery (nissen fundoplication). I had the same concerns with regard to the long term use of the medicines. In the last year the wife and I have became familiar with a Naturopathic Doctor. It's amazing the difference in approach to an issue and how much better we both feel. Like you, there's more to the story. He's why I have love 50 pounds and still on track for 40 more pounds to goal weight. Keep the video's coming. Great job.
