Yeah, there's a message, but either you get it or you don't. I got it big time. I'm SLOWLY learning to slow down and smell the coffee, (or pick your cliché). I'm also slowly learning to drive AROUND the red lights (using side streets), rather than sit, wait, rush, and then sit again, while everyone else catches up to me again. But one needs to memorize which side roads don't have road dividers, etc. This is a brilliant piece of work. I hope to see more like it. Great work, guys!
I think this is excellent commentary on the existential issues that confront modern man, especially in the context of an urban setting. Brilliant! Kudos to what's his name!!!
I also like the suggestion that, even though everyone gets to the same place at the same time, the "main guy" would rather do it his own way; he would rather exert himself for no particular advantage just to be moving at his own pace. Particularly the scene where he boards the bus, and everyone takes out their phones; the music is distressed and you can feel the claustrophobia.
This should be retitled..." The Common New Yorker's Commute". Geez, I could relate to this too well. Just seeing the emotions animated was wonderful. I love your work!
teh funny thing is, people are saying i wish i was that fast (below comments) and yet the people the man is trying to get ahead of, are right there infront of him at every turn
Judging by the comments made which I highly agree upon maybe the working title of this work should have been `the futility of speed in a modern world'. The main character never seems to get ahead of the pack no matter how he tries. However it still remains a very creative piece of animation only that the original message falls short of the mark thats all.
this is so true same thing happens when i speed down the highway and when i finally reach my exit, people i flew by couple of minutes ago are right next to me :O
You know what? your right. a couple of years ago, i was sitting here on youtube and asking these questions. i didnt know anything, but now - im a movie maker, and owner of the big Ukrainian-Russian comunity Tetris-Inside. im saing this to people (about their questions) becouse i KNOW, none will answer, so they better ask it on forums or somthing, and here, they are wasting their time, waiting for answer.
@jwpierce07 Im just stating he wasnt going fast ENOUGH, if he was faster he would have caught the train before that one, the bus before that one and the lift before that one... your theory is based on only going a little faster

I can so relate - it's like deciding if you should wait for the train to pass or turn around and find an alternate route...hillarious

patience may be a virtue but this guy is gonna stay fit for life...

social anxiety disorder
....Sweetness
Why did he wait for them to arrive before he turned on his computer?XD
story of a commuter's life
Trata de reflejar lo inutil de la velocidad en algunas circunstancias. Al fin y al cabo los demas llegaron al mismo tiempo que el.

Awesome though. !
No, he's trying to do everything before they do, to be, "One Step Ahead" of them.

Well at least he has better legs than the others.
If I could run fast like that. Fuck all the vehicles. That's where he's waisting his time hah.
Omg he IS fast!
How do you make the guy run fast and motion blur?
The art of impatients :P
i wish i could run that fast tehehe
Yeah but... what if he RUNS all the way till his work?? He's fast enough!!
