The interactions with Mei and Ana are the highlights for me. I was not expecting to nearly cry with the prior while the latter continues to show how Ana is among the most badass characters of the OW roster.

Edit: I forgot that Baptiste has voice lines in English, French, and Haitian Creole, so Illari isn’t the first character in the game with voice lines in three languages, but her having so is still cool never the less!
In 4:28 she actually says “piña, pues” which is a Peruvian expression that literally means “pineapple, then” and it’s usually used when something unfortunate happens :)
Piña equates to something like "bummer" or "tough break" and considering how grumpy she seems to be, more the latter for that line delivery. Think Raynor's "Tough break, kid" line from heroes of the storm
I like the Lucio interaction bc of the significance of football in both Brazil and Peru. Lucio sounds so disheartened by his team losing, it’s really the only time she’s playful in all her interactions.
She seems like a complex character. There is sadness, anger, and even a hint of affection(for her llama Cuño) in her voice lines. Hopefully she’ll get past all her past trauma
It is a heavy trauma, she is smart enough to see that all the fault isn't her's, but empathetic enough to still carry it in her heart. And those are the signs of a great soul, i hope that between her people there are those that whatever happened is not her fault and they recognise that even then she still carries the legacy she loved and respected.
ahhhh i can't wait to learn more about her!! She has such a different energy compared to everyone else. I feel like we are going to see a huge contrast between her sun-shining character design and her actual background

With the origin trailer... her voice lines really come in perspective the pain and guilt Illari carries in her heart, but I like that she isn't so jaded that she stopped being playful or polite.

They haven’t released details, but my personal guess is that she was a soldier prodigy of some sort and perhaps ended up in a similar situation as mei except what happened was or she believed it to be her fault. Sounds traumatic and tragic whatever it is.
Her backstory is on the website. But tl;dr She killed all her people (that are some kind of warriors/guardians from Peru) by accident when she acquire her solar powers. Now she's the only survivor of her tribe.
I just recently watch her origin short...it's very heartbreaking. I really feel the guilt in every voicelines. I hope she can continue to rise like the sun and find shines through this. She can make it through! We all have done things that we're not proud off but we have to keep pushing on!
Based on her interactions and that concept art that depicted a solar ritual, I think she was part of an experiment gone wrong, where everyone around her was killed. I liked the Sojourn interaction because it reminds me of the Genji & Sojourn interaction regarding their augmentations. Sojourn doesn't have it related to any sort of trauma, from what I know so its more of a cool upgrade to her, unlike Genji & Illari

I really love the way Blizzard is adding more voice lines in the native language of where heroes are from, it just adds a lot of depth to the characters and makes them feel more like people with backstories than they used to.
It would be so interesting if sigma had a voiceline with illari on how they both harnessed the power of space (sigma - black hole, illari - the sun), and the cost of doing so.
I do wish we got to hear some more Quechuan, not only did I not know about those people before Illari, but I also think it would help to make her a bit more different than Sombra even if just a little.

I so badly want to know her origin-story because whatever happend she gives herself the blame for it and seems to try to make it right with being a warrior now. If I had to guess it could be that during this solarthreading ritual she went under to gain her powers she lost control and accidentally killed the people she cared about. She was meant to be a warrior who protects but in the end it cost her everything. :(

I wish there was more support that isn't focused on healing, but on buffs and debuffs. or anything to facilitate or hinder the gameplay
I so badly want to know her origin-story because whatever happend she gives herself the blame for it and seems to try to make it right with being a warrior now. If I had to guess it could be that during this solarthreading ritual she went under to gain her powers she lost control and accidentally killed the people she cared about. She was meant to be a warrior who protects but in the end it cost her everything. :(

I think you missed a healing Quote, she also has a chance to say if healing someone "I've been to enough funerals"
