Good review and even more so for showing it fixed to a hard hat. I don't see the point in the plastic strap for hard hats instead of the normal strap so I will more likely get the core version which is cheaper.

Good review. At my work we're issued with ledlenser head torches but aren't as good as this model. I think I'll get one. Cheers

Looks like it's a special wrapping on 21700 batteries, but the price is 35£ instead of ~10
    (2x Samsung INR21700-50S 5000mAh - 35A)
So basically the 7 year warranty means they're gonna be effing you in the A for close to a decade with "iPhone" parts.
Don't loose the charging cable, it's probably 50£

Good review, but the led light seems to be slightly yellow. Why?

It is because led lenser tried to make the lighting look natural

The charge cable put me right off. Was looking at this product for motorcycle touring and everything is USB-C charging. Lose the cable of this and it's useless. Not only that, when one charge cable should do all, having a proprietary cable just clutters the gear. I can understand the reliablity of the magnetic plug, but there are magnetic USB-C inserts anyway.

So it doesn't suit your needs. Still a good head torch.

@@mrbungle7586 yeah I'm actually quite pleased with this head torch. Been keeping me company for about year now. Daily. It suits me well because I charge it daily at the same place and whenever I go out at night I'll be just grabbing it and not care if it was charging or not. Battery works the same as in the beginning, maybe minutes less but I don't notice much change,. At least 6 full hours of usage and definitely not in the lowest setting... yet also not in the brightest for long periods of time, as the led will get pretty warm if turned on brightest for more then 30 min.
So usually just when I go from light to dark to help adjust my eyes to the dark. That's why I truly love this dimmable feature! But about the magnet. I used to not like it either but quickly changed my mind after some time. This cable is not used for anything else so I don't lose it, and never have if I took it with me. And if I did, I'd just order a new cable and think about how I should mind my stuff a bit better and undergo the consequences of my carelessness. And learn from my mistakes so that I don't lose my sh*t next time.

@@abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0 thanks for the feedback Elle, a good mini review.
I haven't bought this yet as we were given a new model not long after I posted my comment.
While it's better than the previous one, it's still not great and is prone to turning on all by itself which is a pain the butt, battery drain, heat etc. The magnetic cable charger, I have one for my hand-held torch and haven't lost it, I always keep it in my work bag just in case, but usually only charge it at home.
Like you, I agree that if I was to loose it, then I'd buy another one.
I've lost other charging cables before and can't blame anyone else, so like you said, take responsibility for loosing ya s..t
Time to order one, cheers 👍
