This headlamp is almost perfect: 1) Brightness dial control (BEST feature) - No need to remember complicated button presses. - Even a kid can learn to use the headlamp. 2) Power Button. - Big and easy to see. - Would be better if it was colored red or yellow. 3) 2 AA batteries. - Flexible, can use all the batteries in any battery pack you buy (4 pack, 6 pack, 8 pack, etc) Other headlamps use 3 batteries, so you always end up wasting batteries. - For example, those headlamps if you buy a 4-pack, you are left with 1 wasted battery. PROBLEM - H5 Headlamp has no red light!! If it had a red light I would buy many of these lights.
So if you're in the woods and the H5R runs out of power, the whole headset is dead and useless. But if the H5 runs out, you can just pop 2 x AA batteries in and you are fully functional again.

Lol, you'll have to buy new batteries once they're worn out on the H5 core, where else the H5R will last years with rechargeable batteries

Rapid 2 click will activate the Boost function. It show in 4.50 and it stay for 10 sec and the Boost mode will off.
