This is quickly becoming my favorite guitar channel. I've always loved ambient music, and I've been playing guitar for sometime and wanted to experiment with ambience. Your channel is an invaluable resource, thank you so much for all your work!
Very nice video with distortion pedal and API TranZformer GTR EQ/Boost Pedal, I greet you warmly and thank you again for the inspiration. Pavel Czech Republic
I'd like to try it on the input of a high gain amp like my Engl Fireball, not that the Fireball doesn't already have gain to the end of days; but hey, why not?
Sorry Bill, i understand your enthusiasm, but this is why non-guitar players hate guitar players from the 70s and 80s. The volume of all this distortion goodness goes all over the place! Driving the keyboardists and vocalists crazy. So, very exceptionally, i'm quitting this video now. And leave you and your audience with all the fun, while i hope this big beep will be out of my ears by tomorrow!
Not sure I exactly agree, but even though I play stoner doom and such even I thought he went a bit hot into this one. Not sure if going active pickup into EQ really is the best idea. VERY splatty and lots of overtones that sort of grate on you in the long run. I would have tried using this EQ pedal for something else.
Tone shaping allows you to sit better in the mix. So you have a strong tone, but step on fewer toes. The boost is really about when you need to step forward but only have a single channel amp.
Great vid. The 200hz LF is a peak/bell, not a shelf...
Thanks for pointing that out! I have pinned this comment for awareness.

API make some of the best mic preamps too. Really snappy sounding on drums!
Bill is the best, Bill is the man!
I am subscriber 159001 Yei! 😊
Second option for me! Best medium frequency control. Equalizer works much more clear!
If you want a fuzz by one!
Tone control missing, however I kinda like the limitations of that with this type of circuit as with the DOD250 and the MXR Distortion+
First variant soudns better on my phone ))) I'll relisten again later on my hi-fi sound system
Bill! I think I speak for the community when I say we need "Wood ll ". 😃
How about my 2008 acoustic guitar album under my name? it's called "In the Wilderness": billvencil.bandcamp.com/album/in-the-wilderness
Tone control missing
At first you might think it is missing a tone knob, but what about clean blend? (:

Bill. You gonna try out the new Mercury x reverb?
Bill IS the mercury reverb
Do you think it would replace a 5 or 7 band EQ?
Now i want a Ross 😅
Presence?
