I appreciate how you spend enough time showing what a device will do and also add your own opinions as to how it might benefit a guitar player. And, you do it, always, with a smattering of humor. Thanks.
In defense of the Mimiq, I use it for recording as it saves time. And just keeping it on while jamming through headphones makes playing incredible much more fun, sounds great. But yes, it HAS to be run in stereo and with one dub only. I honestly have no idea what the point of the Mini is.
Great review. This and some of the other YT reviews left my mouth open. Great to have reverb, a bit of delay, and bit of mod, for versatility, and then put them all together and say: "this is a vintage studio!" What a great idea! I like this just a little more than the Memphis Sun.
Thanks so much for this review. I am looking for a "leave it on all the time pedal" for a particular non-distorted sound that is subtly fattened and adds a very subtle de-tune. I have been thinking this pedal is it. This is a really good review of this pedal; most reviewers show the extremes of the pedal, whereas you show the nuances.
Can you try this in a VOCAL SETTING? I’m dying to hear the ADT on Vocals like a real Abbey Road which was what it originally was designed for John Lennon
Great job Henning!!! I came to a similar conclusion based on lots of forum surfing. I ended up buying the 30ms and I'm really pleased with it overall. It is subtle but it really enhances my sound.
Between the TC Mimiq and Keeley 30MS, which would you prefer for stereo lazy “double tracking” and panning the dry to one side and the wet to the other side? Or is that even how these would be used?
The difference is in the waveforms and the tape emulation, chorus is generally a sine or triangle wave so you can hear the sweep. ADT is more random and has saturation and tonal characteristics so you cant really hear the sweep and it adds a different quality then a pure copy with an lfo would, that said it isnt a lot more then a different sounding chorus, really chorus is a more modern version of the original ADT.

In a live situation it could work with one output in an amp, the other output in a preamp-pedal (like the mooer mini stuff) in combination with cabsimulation directly into the PA ... so you could have the signal from your mic-ed amp and the PA-Sound combined. At least I imagine this could work ^^ ...btw this sweater rules them all. Best wishes from the middle of Franconia.
You know how good this pedal is? You gave it 17 minutes of your time, and still never once touched on how I use it! It's an amazingly versatile pedal that can enhance your sound in many ways. I own 2 of them, and run both in stereo Pro mode, because all my amps have built-in reverb. As nice as this reverb is, I'd rather have more control over the delay and let my amp do its thing.. The stereo image this pedal can create is HUGE! This is one of my few "always on" pedals. You should explore Pro mode for a bit and then make a Pro Mode video. :-)
I'm looking at using this with a 12-string emulator (Mosaiq) for a bit of separation between the doubled notes to make it more natural/organic. Obviously this offers a lot more, but would it work simply for that? Anyone doing that? There's also the Mimiq, so kind of stuck between them.
My impression is that the 30ms time is too long - you're correct - it makes a bad chorus sound. Could you try it with a high gain lead sound - like a dual lead guitar sound?
I actually am one of the idiots that plays true stereo live. It is backbreaking. almost 200 feet of cable to feed the loops of two heads 20 feet away...until you hear it live.
Wow. That pedal sounds brilliant. Overall without the reverb, to me, it sounds like a very subtle chorus pedal without sounding too 'chorusy'. ;) Great review!
I've had this pedal a good while now and without a doubt, THE BEST REVERB EVER! But to get the best wide double track vibe have the tuning knob about quarter to and the time knob about 10 past. This sits last in my pedal chain and yes I have a Strymon Deco on my board too, which mainly lives as a saturation/compression tool BUT does SO much more
30ms really needs to have left and right stereo output jacks. A single TRS is just not suitable, those cables are bulky and hard to come by. A chose the strymn deco for my doubling needs and have never looked back!
yeah it does come with the cable but its HUGE, you need >3 inches clearance on the left side of the pedal. For those of us with fairly packed pedal boards this is not really an option and yes, stereo IN would be great. I wanted to buy this pedal but the stereo connectivity was a deal breaker. If they do an update and improve this I am in.
No, it is for the metal guy, not super fast core stuff, but for stoner and doom. If you want proof watch Matt Pike’s rig rundown, he gets crazy randy Rhodes tones from it
Hey Great Reviews some very comprehensive and thorough! I was wondering why you never do a interview with Kiana telling how you two meet, history, hopes in her guitar development! Lastly, since you own so many guitars why didn't you just give her one of yours instead of Ibanez giving her one, peace Keep Rocking on a Cool Groove!
@Westrocker 67 why can't you guys just move on if you're too busy & too serious of a "rocker" to have a little fun? oh wait I know why, it's cause you have a stick up your ass & feel the need to be critical lol.. there, I nailed it.............
Cracked me up every time you try to say "30 millisecond double tracker."😂
I appreciate how you spend enough time showing what a device will do and also add your own opinions as to how it might benefit a guitar player. And, you do it, always, with a smattering of humor. Thanks.
Need the Strymon Deco and compare all three. I love the sound of ADT which is what this (and the deco) can do.
I love fact that you’re just being truthful about your assessment
always
Dig your videos...and your playing!

One of my favorite pedals. Sounds great through one amp. Add a second amp for stereo, and it's amazing!
Best summary of what this pedal does on YT in just 12 seconds starting at 16:24
This Pedal sounds too phenomenal!!! 🤩💕
I love this guy!!
I’ve seen some of your vids before and you’re much more thorough than most demo guys. And you have a funny personality too!
Can you try this in a VOCAL SETTING? I’m dying to hear the ADT on Vocals like a real Abbey Road which was what it originally was designed
for John Lennon
Very good explaining (and showing) of hard to explain the sound of it.
It adds wididitty.
Excellent and a very entertaining review! You do a great job on all of your reviews! Thanks!

Who wants to hear Double Tracker into the Mimiq ? ^^
I wish this was programmable! So many great sounds in there but I need to save presets and control via midi. Such a great sounding pedal though!
I kept waiting for you to play the opening of the song "Across the Universe" in Abbey Mode. Great demo!
Between the TC Mimiq and Keeley 30MS, which would you prefer for stereo lazy “double tracking” and panning the dry to one side and the wet to the other side? Or is that even how these would be used?
Pedal manufacturers don't want to call anything a Chorus pedal anymore
Great demo! What is that bridge pickup?
Yeah but what if I use a chorus and put it on like 1? I imagine the result wouldn't be very different.
Tilen Marš exactly what I use my chorus for, actually.
But my sound is just slightly more subtle

Henning, where would you put this in your signal chain? Approaching it as a modulation pedal would lead me to think it's further down the chain...
I wonder if it could go before my 2 Zoom MS pedals?
Say with me:..... "the Keeley" and ..."the TC".....yo see?...its more simple,no?..Good vid as always..thks!
I wish you would have tracked this pedal and compared it to a classic studio doubling technique.

Can the 30ms be powered by an internal 9v battery?

Didn't know Jonjo Shelvey played the guitar...
I actually am one of the idiots that plays true stereo live. It is backbreaking. almost 200 feet of cable to feed the loops of two heads 20 feet away...until you hear it live.
I play my saxes and electric violin stereo live too! I haul my own PA for me!
Wow. That pedal sounds brilliant. Overall without the reverb, to me, it sounds like a very subtle chorus pedal without sounding too 'chorusy'. ;) Great review!
Thanks for another awesome demo Henning! You rock!

This one vs. Strymon Deco.
Deco

What mode are you talking, what's all your settings to get the widest sound
Very sparkly but not in a cheap way
What if you used a separate reverb pedal, would it sound good or no
+lee yes it would, why not?
You didn't test the stereo mode, which IS indeed for the double metal guy
Keeley is awesome
Stereo is clearly superior with the Keeley in Double track pro!
If you want a more extreme sound you need to put it in Pro Mode. Open it up and flip the dip switches. Very cool.
Who wants to hear him say "30 millisecond double tracker" through the 30ms Double Tracker by Keeley 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Fucking love the sound of that guitar @.@
And i'm usually more into mesa boogie semi clean tones/heavier tones, but love this
Also love this pedal
Holy fuck I want one of those
thirby mit...thirtymlibur....thmurdee...thirty secummfdroob-fuck it, the chorusy Keeley pedal.

Mark Artyniuk It actually comes with a cable splitter for the output. I think it should come with stereo input to put it after another stereo pedal

They so need a stereo in/out for this! I'm still going for the Deco.

A TRS CABLE 2 AMPS ITS AS GOOD AS IT CAN BE SMULATED, “WET/ DRY CAN OPEN Many OPTIONS utilizing deferent DEGREES OF EITHER”
You’re hilarious too
Me likey.....
First.
I bet your parents are proud.
Crapping on the Mimiq because you can't be bothered use two amps live. Yeah, no. :\
Why can't you guys just review the product, instead of doing stitch? Such a time waste.
@Westrocker 67 why can't you guys just move on if you're too busy & too serious of a "rocker" to have a little fun? oh wait I know why, it's cause you have a stick up your ass & feel the need to be critical lol.. there, I nailed it.............
