Awesome aircraft the B77-300ER is. Liked that quick zoom at the end, showing the plane's livery.
The left turn at 5:00, you flew right over the area that I live . I see the AA 77W fly over head all the time. The left turn was to intersect the ILS for 22L and from there it's straight in for landing.
I was the first to comment on this video when you first uploaded it. And still to this day, I watch this 2 times per week.
I'm pretty sure it was 22L, not 22R.
ah, I miss-typed it. 12:29 is crossing 22R on taxiway Juliet. Thanks for the correction.

Great video of landing in my city! People can say what they want to about it but there is nowhere like NYC! That 777 sounds so quiet compared to all these other planes that make so much noise that you can hardly hear what someone is saying. I look forward to flying on one someday. I like your videos by the way. Thanks for sharing!

You were right - I found it breathtaking to watch :-) Sometimes I find it hard to believe how a giant bird can glide through the air. Still jealous of how often you fly, but it's great to see you exploited that by turning it into a YT channel everyone loves.
This shows how the flaperon worked on MH-370. It's the one inbetween the inboard and outboard flaps that moves in and out to control the wing level. If the trailing edge was chewed up on a horizontal water landing then it would be in the flaps down position and actively piloted, since the autopilot theory would be they would all be retracted.

Oh, and I remember. When you had you AA B767 video from a couple years back, you departed from the gate that the 77W parked in.

Great video and praise too for steady camera; hate when some videos flick the camera to a cabin view and back, not on your video. Oh, great to see the strength of the wing when it flexes.
Very tastefully shot. i observe that the more recent videos are in HD quality. Presonal preference, do include on flight dining wherever appropriate.

Ahh jfk I remember my approach on delta 757 from sfo to jfk it was pretty swaggy xD It was much more clowdier though and probably much more windier touch down was a lil bit hard but pretty boss :D I remember from landing from the water side (other rwy lol) it was sooo cool! I saw a cruz ship too! I feel like we need to c u fly though! Take a trip to Seattle and c what u can do in them sims :D I believe u can fry :P

Nice one ! ! Great views of the south shore of Long Island, Brooklyn etc as well as across the island to the North shore. Not as windy as your intro suggested tho'. I once landed at Newark with the plane tilting and swinging wildly, eventually thumping down hard on only two wheels with the Port of Newark derricks just off to the right. Made it but it was hairy. Hell of a long taxi eh...jeez.

That wasn't so bad. The Pilot had it all in control. Landing in Chicago has it's really windy landings. I'd imagine it's hard for the Pilot to land it because of the wind keeping it aloft. Wind though is a necessary thing for these huge aircraft. They take off into the wind and land into the wind. Keeps them from stalling of course.
"center flap" is not a flap is "the inboard aileron" it helps flying the aircraft at low speeds with the outboard aileron help !

at 8:05 is Belmont Racetrack where Secretariat won the Triple Crown, and made the world record for 1 1/2 miles on dirt which still stands today. Time 2:24 flat. A time that may stand forever.

You were right Dan, the landing is much better than the takeoff. What a great approach to 22R. I really love AA's B777-300ER's. They have a fantastic livery. I hope i can get on one soon. What does the "new plane smell" smell like? Great video as always, though this is the best one yet.

When I was very young, and on my first ride on aircraft (Going to DC), I sat just near this position. The image of the flaps and all moving *terrified* me. xD I had no idea.
Holy crap, that was a long taxi. The only other place I've experienced that was at Schiphol.

You can see Elmont in Long Island. In Queens you've got, Queens Village, Cambria Heights and Rosedale from this view. I see these planes landing from my house.
