Excellent video - just like the landing I had in a 777 from Houston except we were in a holding circle over London at 06.30 on Feb .3rd so all of London was lit up !
you and hearthrowspottingHD are the best people in my opinion for flight video's on youtube. perfect quality as always and thank you for the B747-8i video's.
I always say I'm not going to watch the whole twenty minute video...Then I watch the whole twenty minute video. Great sights, and I love watching the control surfaces on the wing work when I'm on a flight. Great video, thank you for sharing. From New Hampshire, USA.
I like the video alot, and have filmed those landings also. Always waiting for the cockpit announcement. Always cool to hear these things. Nice video !
I think I like videos from the interior of a plane more in the landing than the taking off - on the grounds that the closer one reaches the point of landing the faster we realise how rapidly we are still travelling.
Hey Dan, Thank you so much fro sharing this with us. You showed me sights I will never be able to see now due to my situation. This is the best approach video I have ever seen. Thank you again.
Thanks Dom! I'm not really sure! Boeings have more flap configurations but I guess you'd know the systems better than I do... I love both airplane manufactures equaly in this case :D
WOW! At 0:28 you can see the tower and so on! I love it! Very very nice video, cool sound and so on... I watched this in FullHD, so I see every detail!!!
Haha good question :P I'm pretty sure the reverse thrust only goes up to a certain speed backwards! It would be impossible more the airplane to takeoff backwards in so many ways ;) Thanks for watching man!
Amazing video! I always loved and wanted to see what London Heathrow Airport is and now I did! I can expect to see this in a cockpit. (When I become pilot)
Excellent footage, regardless of the sun's glare. First time I watched a clip twice immediately afterwards. I was delighted to see the overview of Heathrow at the begining and the wing in focus and steady the whole way, well done my man... One thing; could any of you budding pilots out there please tell me why I could NOT see any movement of the surfaces when the plane made it's final turns, but could clearly see them as the plane made it's final approach???
You can see the spoilers deploy at the nearest part of the wing... The are also air formations, since the whole cabin was shaking dramatically I assume it was at a very high speed :)
Love this. I came in to LHR the other day in the aisle seat. Both people at the windows had their blinds shut! There should be a law for those who don't know how to operate a window properly! Anyway thanks for posting - you may find some of my videos of interest. Cheers.
Nice! I didn't notice any fishtailing or brakes screaching or anybody screaming. I thought it was a great landing and approach. Thnak you for the video.
Great video , I think Heathrow is one of my favourite airports to plane spot , you get such a variety of airlines and aircraft types. A lot of American airports tend to be dominated by a single airline.
+Matthew Boyle Not true. You mention Heathrow, if you go to a major airport here in the US, you get the same mixture as Heathrow. In fact, you get more.
Hey Dan, British Airways use Terminal 3 for their Bangkok, Singapore and Sydney flights. The reason they did this is because of their codeshare with Qantas. Great video as always pal!
Honey! I Love You! Thank you for bringing me back to London for a visit! It is an 11 hour difference from California!! I LOVE ENGLAND! and I Love British Airways!!
you were lucky enough to catch one of the very few days with nice weather in London otherwise you wouldn't have been able to see anything because of the clouds. Nice zoom you got there btw.
Considering you've said on the takeoff video that the flight was almost empty and that the takeoff role was short for a 777, I'd agree with you. It's a pretty speedy landing for an empty 777.
Both planes are very high-tech. While Airbus aimes at flap configurations (1-4), Boeing aims at degrees. Btw I really love the 777s main landing gear. It looks AMAZING. I liked! Cheers ;)
Lovely video, first time I see an approach where the plane pass Heathrow and then turns around...the sky over London is so crowded you see planes crcling everywhere..same in Tokyo Narita..quite scary sometimes..
Heathrow is so freaking big every video has 15 mins intro and outro with the plane rolling so much runway and internal auxiliary ways, great video!
Wow thank you man! I'm so happy to hear you enjoy all my videos and the 747-8i was a treat to film ;)
I'm very happy to hear you love them :D
Thanks man! The breaking starts when he fully puts the flaps down :)
It makes me so happy to hear that mate! Thanks for watching and for your kind comment :D
You always capture the very essence of a flight. It's as though I'm right there. Love them.
Thank you so much for that! I love sharing my videos with you guys and I hope you can continue to enjoy them in the future :)
Agreed also, I've seen 100s of such videos but your camera work here is exceedingly special, thank you for sharing the experience with us all.
Once again, nice view of the flap deployment and retraction. Great job!
A clean window and an excellent quality recorder made this enjoyable.
What a beautiful landing! The city of London is so beautiful! Notice how many green areas!
Excellent video - just like the landing I had in a 777 from Houston except we were in a holding circle over London at 06.30 on Feb .3rd so all of London was lit up !

That's what i call class on landing. Master, smooth and lightly turns, touch down, braking, wao!
AWESOME> This was my same approach into Heathrow last April, 2015 on a 777 in first class, from Seattle to London. God knows, I love England!!!
`Nice to hear - even if I`m 8 years late.
One of the best approach/landing vids I have seen. Great job zooming on h
Heathrow on the high down wind. Thanks!
I like the video alot, and have filmed those landings also. Always waiting for the cockpit announcement. Always cool to hear these things. Nice video !

really well done as always. Thumbs up!
Glad you liked it man!
WOW - nice steady hand and great sights. Even the audio isn't too bad. Thanks for posting.
Awesomeness.... I fly ALOT and I am still amazed at the complexity of the flight control the new planes have.
Thanks a lot Mathew! I have a review where the best plane I've been in will be a competitor - a380 vs. 748 :D
No problem! I really enjoy sharing my passion with you guys!! :D
Love the way the flap extend to 30 degrees at 8:15. Full flaps on a 777 look great.
amc3 t
amc3 I
amc3 45 degrees you dumb ass
This is one of the best videos I have seen. Keep up the great vid's brother.
That second spoiler surface from the right deployed on touchdown definitely needs a maintenance !
Great video thanks for sharing :)
great video!! fantastic view...i used to live in london, now i'm in Brazil for good,..i love this city!!
The 777 inner flap is a frigging wall!!
Fantastic United 777 landing sequence, awesome views of wing and Heathrow landscapes on approach
Great shot of all of the terminals on the downwind approach in the beginning! Liked!
one of the best if not the best approaches in the world is london.. amazing vid! can't wait for pmdg to give us their T7
Great video. Wow, that is one loud aircraft! Thanks for the ride!
Thanks Dom! I'm not really sure! Boeings have more flap configurations but I guess you'd know the systems better than I do... I love both airplane manufactures equaly in this case :D
Glad you liked it mate!
Proud to be a Londoner
WOW! At 0:28 you can see the tower and so on! I love it! Very very nice video, cool sound and so on... I watched this in FullHD, so I see every detail!!!
Yet another excellent video, I especially like the Saudi airlines next to you :) but the video was extremely awesome as well
I enjoyed the video. Great flap action. It was just like being there. Thanks for posting.
Haha good question :P I'm pretty sure the reverse thrust only goes up to a certain speed backwards! It would be impossible more the airplane to takeoff backwards in so many ways ;) Thanks for watching man!
Since UA is so large there are a tone of options so you should def look up the exact config of your aircraft on Seatguru or something...
Amazing video! I always loved and wanted to see what London Heathrow Airport is and now I did! I can expect to see this in a cockpit. (When I become pilot)

Thnak you for the video.
thanx 4 this video! it's the nicest one I've ever seen about a landing...
Nice job, as usual! Loved the airport overview!
Graceful landing! Well done!!
Great video , I think Heathrow is one of my favourite airports to plane spot , you get such a variety of airlines and aircraft types. A lot of American airports tend to be dominated by a single airline.

Great landing! Pretty smooth though 👍
Love your videos mate! Brilliant!
Great landing! i'm not sure but, such a perfect landing that it seems like it doesn't even need to use the retro turbo. I didn't hear it.
I can certainly relate to this video having flown in Heathrow several times :)
Awesome video! I had no idea that the flaperons behaved the way they did in the video. Thanks for sharing!
I know! Thanks bro :D
Great. Hope you feel better now.
Considering you've said on the takeoff video that the flight was almost empty and that the takeoff role was short for a 777, I'd agree with you. It's a pretty speedy landing for an empty 777.
A great and long final approuch!!!
A great view of London's suburbs there.

Excellent vid! My, those were noisy flaps! But I was surprised how quiet the reverse-thurusters sounded!
Thanks bro!
Thanks Andy :)
Great landing. No issues there!
Awesome :D
London looks nice.......from a distance!
Yeah when you get on the ground you find out it's a shit hole .
+Mark C ikr

looking at london like this, i could almost see where i lived! but you begin to realise exactly how big london actually is
Lovely video, first time I see an approach where the plane pass Heathrow and then turns around...the sky over London is so crowded you see planes crcling everywhere..same in Tokyo Narita..quite scary sometimes..
Yes! One of the best :D PMDG 777 OMG
Lovely video, great day for finals to Heathrow.
Such a lovely plane!
I am taking Icelandair to London in November. It will be an interesting longer journey with a stop in Iceland across the atlantic
I appreciate it dude!
