Beautiful airplane! Interesting watching the ailerons and flaps moving when banking. Such little movement on the aileron to turn such a massive aircraft. Love the Boeing 747!
Ha! This is my favorite seat in economy on BA284 or 285 from London to San Francisco, 34A. This videos gives a fantastic view of triple-slotted Fowler flaps generating lift and drag.
I like how the plane land and got off the runaway quickly with the momentum. They obviously designed it so as to keep traffic moving as quickly as possible.
@@AXRN2007 Some pilots get lazy and don't always shut the autopilot off when landing, hence, why some of them have forgotten how to land a plane properly
Look at all those "Big Boy" planes that used to go to JFK back then but don't anymore!! Asiana A380, British Airways 747, Etihad A380, El Al 747, Singapore A380(still servicing JFK but won't anymore come the end of April when they take it away and give it to Melbourne and replace it with a 777), and Emirates A380!!!!!(at least they're not taking this one away from JFK 🙏🙏)
Flaps create drag and lift. At take off they are partially lowered to generate lift, while at landing they are fully lowered to slow the aircraft as it approaches the runway.
Hello I will be travelling in this exact seat soon. Is there a clear view of the wing from the window? I have heard some of the windows are slightly misaligned.
Hi, yes it was! I was seated in World Traveller Plus, 36A to be exact and it had only just been updated. The seats are the same as the older 747 configs but with new covers, cushioning and an all new entertainment system.
It depends on the configuration and the cabin class you're travelling in. On my flight it was a World Traveller Plus seat and very nice with plenty of room but it can also be a standard economy seat, either way it should be comfortable.
Subhanallah i feel one thing when i watch this video, The material flys this is wt my tots.. Its impossible without the power of ALLAH AZZAWAJAL😘😘😘 THE LORD OF THE WORLD
It’s so sad that the British airways 747 will never fly again
But at least they're still flying the beautiful A380!✈️ I would love to see that BA A380 come here to JFK one day in the very near future. 🙏🤞

ELPaso1990TX
They are called "spoilers", not "flaps".
After Cockpit, the two wings view of a flight is Pleasant one.
I flew this route several times when I lived in London. Memories. Thanks for sharing!
It’s a shame such a butiful plane should never stop flying !
it's always so cool to watch all the flight control surfaces operating during decent
i love those powerful engine sound
Queen as arrive she awesome love her ❤

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're a lot of aircraft in the background that will never be seen again it is good to see them in a video..
Piękny widok na skrzydełko,i ta prędkość przy ładowaniu, uwielbiam samoloty, niech żyje nauka 👆🤣👏
Why is this so satisfying
Kinda boring
Iconic aircraft
Love watching those flaps and spoilers hard at work!!!
Used to be 747s and now A321 Neos can do this route. I love the A321 Neos but theres nothing like a 747.
super smooth landing!
that Asiana Airlines A380 is one of only 6 in the Asiana fleet so that's pretty interesting to see
Awesome approach and landing !!!
60 fps makes this look like you are really there! super smooth!
What impresses me is how crystal clear the video quality is....you can tell the person is using an great recording device....good job
im more impressed with the 747 than the quality of a video. like how about how crystal clear the wing structure is.
What impresses me is how crystal clear of a moron you are. The important is the content it shelf, not quality.
Just a guy from Naruto lmao exactly
@@MrMallorcaboy
You are a moron, without the quality of the camera; you would not be able to appreciate the "crystal clear wing".

Yes, they have “fast turnouts” with gentle angles and larger radii.
Yeah. Plenty of aircraft queued for departure.
I really enjoyed that. Thank you
Thanks great video 🎉😎😎👍
Impresionante belleza Gracias ❤😂🎉
747 to JFK enough said.
very nice video I love this I feel like I was in that plane
Impressive video! Thank you for posting it.
Smooth butter
B-747 spoilers move like a bird’s feather!
Beautiful!
From the very beginning I had a feeling this plane was going to land and I was right!
Excellent(!!) 🙂 ...
OMG. Wing flex at 7.54!
You know their supposed to right
Ooo I did this flight once on this type of plane
And I am your (a)380th like
Jump 10 seconds forward then jump 10 seconds backward kinda cool seeing all the movement of the wings
I wonder how much of this Wing design has changed since 1969 ?
Fantastic flap action!
Gorgeous video. Thanks
Nice touch down
7:40 you can see the ailerons moving a lot as the pilot is making fine adjustments to line up with the runway.
ELPaso1990TX
It's the computer that controls that part of the flying, not the pilot.
@@redblade8160 When approaching the runway, the pilot will turn off the AutoPilot function and operate the airplane manually.

It looks like it has a loose tile in this wing

That El Al 747-400 in the background now retired
Bro how are we supposed to know where ?
great video!
Parabéns pelo vídeo gostei muito. Aviação é minha paixão.

Wonderful video pictures, Well filmed and nice landing! I enjoyed this video! LIKED!
Buena maniobra
Im your (a)350th like!
8:30 it looks like its moveing super slow
What do flaps do? Because don't they use them at take off as well.
Flaps create drag and lift. At take off they are partially lowered to generate lift, while at landing they are fully lowered to slow the aircraft as it approaches the runway.
Nice video and beautiful plane! Unfortunately, within not too long all the 747s will be retired.

Your wish has come true!
Rip queen of the sky
Boeing 747 is apparently less noisy than Airbus 380, at least in the passenger cabin.
somebody can tell me the models of the planes that are waiting for take off. The first is a a380, right?
Asiana A380, Delta CRJ, Turkish Airlines A333, Delta A319, 2 Delta CRJ and a Delta 767-300ER with winglets.
Thanks
Bring back the princess flying boats they can fly from the Thames London to the hudsonriver new york
That's a lot of flap all at once. Are they using flaps to bleed off speed (instead of spoilers)?
6:35 Bless you! 🤧
Hello I will be travelling in this exact seat soon. Is there a clear view of the wing from the window? I have heard some of the windows are slightly misaligned.
Yes, the window is properly aligned on this particular aircraft.
Hi - is this one of the new 747s configured with high-J? (86 Business Class) And also was it renovated with the new World Traveller Plus?
Hi, yes it was! I was seated in World Traveller Plus, 36A to be exact and it had only just been updated. The seats are the same as the older 747 configs but with new covers, cushioning and an all new entertainment system.
Kevin Andrew thank you!!
I'm sitting in 35a when I go in September what's that seat like. Please
It depends on the configuration and the cabin class you're travelling in. On my flight it was a World Traveller Plus seat and very nice with plenty of room but it can also be a standard economy seat, either way it should be comfortable.
Half of the wing is missing. Zoom is bad idea.
No zoom, it was the standard iPhone video aspect at the time.
747 king of flaps
Nobody claps anymore on landings?
So sorry the retrofitted 747 have old style seats but new IFE? :)
Yeah old style seats that have been given new cushioning and new covers. The IFE is brand new, it's a much bigger HD screen with loads of new content.
Sorry for all the questions - ty!
No problem!

Someone is coughing on the plane could have coronavirus.
Why don't pilots just leave the flaps extended and let the next sucka retract them?
