These are my grails. The comfort: I can wear these to work or on the weekends at the mall, running errands, jog and have no discomfort whatsoever. the colorway: I don’t have to worry about outfits because this matches and looks good with everything I own. The quality: made in the USA, enough said.
Couple of reasons why these are super comfortable is because it has arch support where it puts less pressure on the heels. Also, the toe box is slightly raised off the floor. There's a small shank in the heel for stability. The encap technology helps a lot too. All of these is what allows me to wear these for 8 hours without foot fatigue.
As far as overall quality, I think these are the top 990 version. They have more leather than the V4, and way more than the V6, and the outsoles last absolutely forever. The foam in the heel still has its integrity after 4 years of owning mine. I realize they’re not the best looking 990 to most people (including myself), but I also think they get hated on more than they deserve. 990v5 is the gold standard 990 when it comes to blending quality, craftsmanship, durability, and that timeless New Balance style. The 990v4 is still my favorite looking 990, and the 990v6 has really grown on me in the last year or so. The V5 will always be the sneaker that started it all for me and my love for New Balance, though.
I know the purists don’t wanna rock with the v5 but these are sick. I got both the v4 and v5 greys and they both amazing in different ways..your vids are so good it’s crazy bro..keep it up 💪💪
Everybody says this shoes run large and go half size down but it is not true. A friend bought it for me. My current size is 27.5 cm for almost all my shoes. I had chance to try 43/27.5 cm in a store (They didnt have 42.5/27 cm). I thought it was wide and asked my friend to buy me 42.5/27 cm. It was a snug fit. My left foot was okey but right was more snug. After wearing 4-5 times, I decided I made a mistake cuz my right foot fingers crumble when I walk/run in these shoes. I will find a solution to make them wider. In conclusion, these shoes have relaxed fit, it is true to size according to cm length of your foot. These shoes are wide but doesnt run long. Take this into account when you buy. Dont buy without trying.

They don't look all that much different. I really like the Double v and American flag on the tongue. The shoes are very stable, comfortable, and the 3m reflective is really well done. These shoes will stand out when used at night. Really hope they do a nice navy/? colorway for my second pair.
Why don't you and most reviewers don't talk about the stroble board that in the sneakers you review witch to most people its the most important part of the shoe ...other than that good video as always keep it up ...
Thanks for the feedback. It's just I'm sure theres a ton of other technical aspects of the shoe that could be covered but just aren't seen by the naked eye.
@@SeanGo thanks for taking the time to reply...but the sroble board is just under the insole some comes very hard and some comes with out it at all witch makes the insole sits right on the mid sole like the ultra boost the insole sits right on top of the boost..witch makes a huge deference in comfort ability so please try to comment about that in your future reviews ..all the best to you

Not really much to add to it, and it doesn't vary much visually. For Boost reviews, I do mention that the upper sits directly ontop of the Boost, which insinuates there is no strobel board.

New Balance is the same as Nike except for UK sizing (10 US is 9 UK Nike but 9.5 in New Balance). CM is the same.
