You two are sooo great!! Love it Love it. I have been on road trips like this where I bring soooo much gear, and I do use 90% of it. And it is exhausting. I’ll shoot a training class in the morning (camera(s), tripods, wireless mics, lights etc) and then they call ‘lunch break’ and orders to meet back here at 1:30 because we’re heading out on a canoe trip and an old forest hike. I have to tear down that gig, take it all to the hotel room then repack for a canoe trip and forest hike (GoPro’s, drone, a7III, lenses, waterproof backpack, batteries), no lunch and just make it to the door to hop in my rental car and drive some of the participants to the harbour. Film all afternoon, and then back to the hotel, start backing up footage, charging batteries, eat ‘something’ and crash so I can be up at 6:00 to repackage for morning training classes and another outing in the afternoon. So so so so exhausting but damn it’s fun!!! You guys did an amazing job of all that AND dealing with a helicopter, preflights, navigation and on and on the list goes. You need a Non-RUclips Holiday... but even then, you can’t go without gear because you know you’re going to wish it was there. It’s a kick ass curse!!! Keep up the fantastic work!!! Love you guys! Internal farts and all! 🤣🤪🤗😘
I legit can't believe the a6400 was your main camera. My mind is absolutely blown. Your footage was SO dang good. That truly goes to show that the gear doesn't make the videographer. AMAZING WORK!!!
This Cold Island series deserves so much more views! Amazing production.

The Cold Island episodes are right up there with my favorite pieces you both have done. Thanks for sharing your gear and thoughts in this episode. I like knowing the 'tools' behind the work. Great work! Thank you!
Taking a break from snow clearing here in St.John's.....Really enjoyed the Cold Island Series .....Beckie id love to see a Photography tutorial from you....how you choose you compositions and shit
3 things I learnt from this video. 1 - I like watching gear videos 2 - I don't need as much gear as I think I do 3 - Farting in front of your significant other is healthy for the relationship 😁
Watching you two cuties cracking small jokes, making faces is highlight of this snowy day !! Feels like I am child again by watching you two behaving like a child and that cranked me everytime !! Love you both !!!
Binge watched the whole series and it was wayyyy better than many international movies!! Just love your visuals and storytelling, and love you guys! Just amazing! And Chris catching a squid was hilarious.
Chris says 'I think we did ok'. I think you both do phenomenal work. Love your work and what you do. Your Cold Island series was so well done and fascinating to watch. Would love for you to do something similar in the future. Its a good day when I see you release a new vlog.
Amazing job on Cold Island, brings more appreciation to the hustle and effort it took to create it watching this. Thanks guys, and glad you look like you're having fun doing it
I love how organized you both were during this trip. Did you do a lot of planning in terms of the shots, places, etc. that helped you create such a beautiful and cinematic series? Also, a little random but could you also do a video on lighting (studio and outside - run and gun)? Your studio lighting especially is utterly beautiful and I wish I can replicate it.
Amrita Bhortake we did as much planning as we could but our locations were totally weather dependent and we couldn’t book anything ahead of time. We did a lot of readjusting as we went!
Everything has melted in NYC... most of it. Cold Island series was better than any Netflix series! love what you guys do with your gear! Making it work!!
Your videos are like a beautiful race car. Visually stunning with fun under the hood!! Always excited to see what is next. Always fun, no matter the subject!!
Don't even care how long the video was. Love watching you guys. Loved seeing what you used. I think sticking to one brand is definitely the way, be it sony or Canon or whatever. Also, that hat suits you really well Becki.
Hi Becki and Chris, I just want to say that you guy's and your trip was awesome, it was like watching a movie. I have always wanted to fly helicopters but they make it to expensive. Anyway just a guy from Michigan that ran across your videos while looking at helicopter videos. Awesome you 2
Thanks so much for sharing and really enjoyed.I was looking forward to seeing someone show all the hard work that goes into the process. Again Thanks for sharing Deb 😉👍✌
I love me some gear, but that was a lot! When the next A7 S drops maybe Becki and Chris will pick it up with a A6600 so they can get the IBIS and stay on a common battery? On the next epic Cold Island type project how bags will they be able to get it down to? I would start by chucking the slider and gimbals. A few more static shots is low price to pay. Throw in a few more external drive as insurance and sync up their content every night. 👍
I watched this video before but had to come back because I remembered you saying you didn't use the gimbal at all. I just found out about the Weeble S, which has been out for a while, but I haven't kept up with gimbals. Anyway, it's very compact and perfect for a mirrorless system and from what I've heard, easy and quick to balance. Idk, but maybe if you had a smaller gimbal, you may be inclined to use it more?
16:46 Oh Becki, that "mhm" was the most passive-aggressive thing I've ever heard in one of your videos😱😂😂 It's like "shut the f*ck up, I wanted to say something 😂
I’m in Asia for a longer trip atm and like you, I have so much gear! Since I’m not flying a helicopter like you I fly coach in budget airlines which makes my packing pretty limited. My backpack is full of electronics and weighs in at 15kg’s and my checked luggage at 25kg’s. I also brought my Robin S, and like you I did not use it once. But better safe than sorry tbh, would have been so sad if I left it at home and needed it. Next time I won’t bring it though!
I somehow manage to film all my episodes & photography; on just my A7III with the Tamron 28-75. Using the APS-C crop function essentially gives me a 28-75 when shooting fullframe and then also a 42-112mm THEN if I film in 4k I can crop in 2x which gives me essentailly a 80-220. So in a weird way, I manage tog et 28-220 out of my setup with just one lens. It surpises me how many options I can get out of it; just wish I had a nice wide prime, but hate swapping lenses and pulling in dust when im out on my adventures, so I think when the a74/a7s3 comes it'll be the second cam I have been waiting for, plus the Tamron 75-180 coming soon; juicy and delicious. I manage to fit all my camera gear in one of those tiny manfrotto camera bags that everyones aunt has with their rebel xt's
you were talking about using the Aperture M9 as a tent lamp, cool idea, but there is also an inflatable solar-powered lantern on Amazon for really cheap and its really handy. definitely worth it. #notsponsored
Holy crap that is a lit of gear!! I really have been working on getting better with video and recording some timelapse of myself working on my projects the problem that I have is I dont see myself as being infront of the camera type. I have shot video and edited it but never posted it as a test for myself.
I triple dog dare you to cut down to ONE camera kit, both drones and the GoPro kit! Loved the video, you guys are killing it. I pretty much bring the same rig along for a Real Estate video shoot. lolz
F$* this cold island chapters are awesome. I loved it, super inspiring keep doing it. I just got the a6600. and its amazing that you guys show you gear so ppl has a roughly idea what you really use in situation like that and what will be handier.
Very nice to see all habits and preferences, up to the point to, sometimes, grab an idea here or there... You've been quite efficient (OK, mouth shut about the gimbal... OK) with those kits. Makes me think about using more Velcro tapes, to stop that awful "rythmatic gear dance". 😄 Thanks for the tech audit !
Great video, great humour, would love to be out at the moment creating, minor flooding across fields and a heavy frost, blue sky; but broke leg on Monday so not going anywhere for at least 6 weeks (except work 🤬), glad to see podcast on Apple
Our local news in STL was reporting on the major blizzard in Newfoundland and I immediately thought about you guys! Fam ok? Great video as usual. I'm in the market for a new camera with auto focus and that 6400 looks so good. Would love A7 but like the price tag on 6400 better. ...and it hurts a little because I'll be breaking up with Canon.
I feel like a seasoned filmmaker's super power is knowing exactly what gear you need and keeping it to a minimum for a filming trip. I pack a studio all the time and never use any of the gear 🤦🏻♂️
And I thought that my kit(s) are a mess (don‘t get me wrong, everything is organized meticulously, but the shire amount of things just makes my mind go crazy)... Guys, you are in desperate need of a GNARBOX, forget that MacBook you just used to backup files... Go watch Peter‘s video on the new GNARBOX, please. Anyways, great video, you are the best! And I‘m thinking if buying a Nikon D7200 in 2018 was a smart thing to do... Not really, well, not at all, if I‘m being honest. Screw it, it served me well, at least kind of.
First of all, you guys are quickly becoming one my fav channels on the Tubes. Keep up the great work. Question: in one of your posts you showed a ball mounted Gopro inside the chopper, but you didn't cover that mount in the GoPro section fo the video - mind linking that mount? It looked sweet. thanks!
if your ammo box is airtight then dont store your lipos in there, the gasses in the lipo could expand and make your ammo box build pressure and cause a big bang
My Shoulders and Back literally hurt just watching this video! Kudos to both of ya doing this awesome work! Just out of curiosity are you planning to "give away" the canon camera gear 😁 silly question, I already know MD2 is going on Becki's shelf!
Ohh man you are the cutest Couple Photographer Vlogger that I know on RUclips, It has been a long time since the last video. Love you guys, I literally liked. So cool😉😉😉
Why do we even consider getting out of bed knowing we don't have a helicopter parked in the driveway. LOL, yes I'm jealous!!!! You guys are so much fun to watch.
Anyone else watching in a snowstorm today?
I want learing english Who can help my
I'm in Israel for the year, missing the NYC snow!!
St. John’s got it bad. Gander was bad as well but not as much. More snow expected this evening 😒😂
Andrew Harvey I’ve been following along on twitter and Facebook! So crazy! Hope you are safe!
Becki and Chris all good here, thanks! Nothing a snowblower can’t get through. My thoughts and prayers are for those in town.
you know you’re winning in life when you’re struggling to get all your camera gear in your helicopter 🤣
Right?! These guys have it all.
When they upload, everyone's day improves. Keep it up guys.
Just Some Guy without a Mustache thank you!
I literally don’t care that this was a “long” video. Couldn’t stop watching. Friggin dope.
Charlie Strange thanks! 🙏🏼

Charlie Strange Yeah Me too
Absolute!!!! JOY, Probably the only "Camera Bag Video" which was fun all the way, didn't even feel like a 20 minute video, more long videos please ❤️
You two are sooo great!! Love it Love it.

The Cold Island episodes are right up there with my favorite pieces you both have done. Thanks for sharing your gear and thoughts in this episode. I like knowing the 'tools' behind the work. Great work! Thank you!
Straight up. I see so many shooters with brand spanking new gear without a nick or scratch on it and it just tells how much they use it
When she said nobody cares while he was being so passionate about it 😂 Idk why I died 🤣🤣
Your SD card wallet reminds me of the old game boy advance games😪❤️
"Rapidfire session!"
*looks at video timer*
Oh boy, can't imagine what the full cut of this must've been lol!
AronBagel haha we actually had it filmed in 30 minutes which was a record! Last time we did a video like this we shot over an hour of footage 😪
Taking a break from snow clearing here in St.John's.....Really enjoyed the Cold Island Series .....Beckie id love to see a Photography tutorial from you....how you choose you compositions and shit
I just binged watched the entire 9 video series! It is aweeeeeesome
3 things I learnt from this video.
1 - I like watching gear videos
2 - I don't need as much gear as I think I do
3 - Farting in front of your significant other is healthy for the relationship 😁
Watching you two cuties cracking small jokes, making faces is highlight of this snowy day !! Feels like I am child again by watching you two behaving like a child and that cranked me everytime !! Love you both !!!
I appreciate how much thought and effort went into filming that series on top of everything else you had to plan/think about. 😮👏
7:34 CHRIS YOU GOD DAMN LEGEND for caring about these things
Binge watched the whole series and it was wayyyy better than many international movies!! Just love your visuals and storytelling, and love you guys! Just amazing! And Chris catching a squid was hilarious.

You guys compliment each other and the content is absolutely awesome and fun
I THRIVE on these uploads! As a growing RUclipsr, it's always nice to see what a pro uses. Hoping to grow my arsenal a little bit in 2020!
Amazing job on Cold Island, brings more appreciation to the hustle and effort it took to create it watching this. Thanks guys, and glad you look like you're having fun doing it
This was a treat. So many kits!
Everytime you guys upload a Cold Island related video, I need to watch the whole series again. 3 times so far.
I love how organized you both were during this trip. Did you do a lot of planning in terms of the shots, places, etc. that helped you create such a beautiful and cinematic series? @@BeckiandChris That's amazing. Kudos to you both for being able to create something this beautiful even with such constraints.
Everything has melted in NYC... most of it. Cold Island series was better than any Netflix series! love what you guys do with your gear! Making it work!!
“Put u in a vessel and send you out the door” 🤣🤣
I am obsessed with reducing my kit to it's most efficient version. Great vid!
Can't wait for the next series. Cold Island was so good 🔥.
Dina Galal thank you!
You two did a really, really good job on the Cold Island series. This was interesting to see what you took in preparation for the trip.
Clif Lowry thank you so much!
Your videos are like a beautiful race car. Visually stunning with fun under the hood!! Always excited to see what is next. Always fun, no matter the subject!!
Best duo on the interweeeeebsss!!!
Don't even care how long the video was. Love watching you guys. Loved seeing what you used. I think sticking to one brand is definitely the way, be it sony or Canon or whatever. Also, that hat suits you really well Becki.

“I’m gonna put you in a vessel and send you out the door” 😂
You guys are awesome! Best "What's in my camera bag" video I have ever watched in 2020!!
I applaud the effort for this trip!

I am fascinated with your channel. Just incredible
I'm hoping to get the A6400 or better as my next camera. I really love the A7III but that's what my Dad uses.

I've been waiting for this video the whole week! Awesome video guys!
Thank you for encouraging my lazy Sunday lounging
Damn love this setup! Would be cool to have an updated vlog kit with the new Sony 👀
JHawk yes! Will definitely make one after I’ve shot with it for a bit! :)
I watched this video before but had to come back because I remembered you saying you didn't use the gimbal at all. I was curious how the fjallraven kanken bag came into play? Saw it in the thumbnail.
16:46 Oh Becki, that "mhm" was the most passive-aggressive thing I've ever heard in one of your videos😱😂😂 It's like "shut the f*ck up, I wanted to say something 😂
CNMTCFilms oh haha it wasn’t supposed to be! 😂
Ngl, really loved the Velcro on the back of the battery charger to put on the side of the camera cube
What picture profile did you use for the Cold Island series? Seriously looked so good, the aesthetics, mood, everything was shot so beautifully! 👍🏽
You two are hilarious and awesome. Not necessarily in that order
Your content is getting more and more awesome!
I love that you guys always post what i exactly want to watch😀!!! Love your videos🙌❤️🔥

Y’all deserve a million subs

I've broke my Rode Micro shock mount too. Solid little mic. Plus it doesn't need batteries like its bigger brother.
Holy crap that is a lit of gear!! Idk who of you cut this video, but I think it was Becki. I kind of feel bad for Chris as he's just being cut of at the end lol. It's funny😂
CNMTCFilms 😂😂 only cut him off because what he said next was in the main part of the video
Becki and Chris ah, ok then😂
I triple dog dare you to cut down to ONE camera kit, both drones and the GoPro kit! Loved the video, you guys are killing it. I pretty much bring the same rig along for a Real Estate video shoot. lolz
Wow I just found you guys and you're so cool! Time to go on a binge!
Would y'all mind doing a tutorial on your 360 workflow? I enjoy your tutorials as they're usually as hilarious as the rest of your videos.

it makes me so sad that I didn't find you guys until now almost two years later!
Chris: I'm going to put you in a vessel and send you out the door!
Me:
Well said my man! 👍😀
the 10-18 lens is my goto as well for vlogging. but on a Canon 700D - I also use the Rode micro and a Rode LE on my iPhone

I love the Cold Island series
When you upload a new video it's like i'm going to cinema
I always enjoy watchin your videos!!

Great video, as always! I love what you guys do :)
That was great. Just binging yr videos and had to stop and say I love the internal and external fart, ah, hilarity.
I thought peter mcCannon stuff only work only with cannon.
Me encantan sus videos aunque me gustaria verlos aun mas con subtitulos al español o tal vez hablando español, los amo, good vibes.
