Few more points to add on: 1. For a Vegetarian,North Indian guy, culture and food is quite different as mostly ppl hail from Kerala and it prevails everywhere 2. Extreme weather conditions for 6-7 months a year. 3. If you believe to excel in surgical art, it's impossibleas here practice is no risk taking basic work. 4. You always remain a job seeker, than job provider 5. Morning - Evening shift duties and working Sundays take away advantage of 8 hrs duty. In most of the private hospitals, it's 6 days a week in UAE. CME, workshops and conference are very less rather than routine.
I heard some hospitals provide housing and travel perks for free, is it true? How much i can save if i send my salary to family every month? Later after a good investment take whole family?
School fees is definely wrong. I studied in Qatar. Similar fees in Dubai . The most expensive cbse school fees here is 12k per year. It will never be 7k per month even in Dubai. (Dubai Qatar currency similar value). I just checked GEMS our own Dubai school fees. Even they only charge 15k per year.
Excellent discussion sir.! Thanks for sharing the ground reality. Plz try bringing in surgical specialists/superspecialists to discuss their experience in uae and their approach towards surgical training before moving to uae. Will be very much appreciated.
Dubai person don’t get depression because either they are working, sleeping, enjoying recreational themes like a robot 🤖. Once you stop your step ; you go gone went #replaced . Demand and supply have a huge gap . Here monopoly comes . For Dubai not F interested.
I have completed neurosurgery degree from NIMHANS Bangalore 6 months back. What would be the opportunity in Dubai and what would be the basic pay post 1 year vs 2 year experience?
You need three yrs experience, plz wait. After that usually it's not recommended for Surgical specialities since the chances of operating are less and you might loose the skill you learnt in NIMHANS
I don’t understand how 35k u reached. 10k for accommodation i accept. 4k groceries I accept. School fees is way too much. 500 each for fuel internet etc I agree. But still how did it all reach 35k. Very unrealistic. We can easily finish our expenditures of a month at 20k ( 10k rent 2k school fees 4k groceries 2k internet fuel 2k miscellaneous).
Depends on ur lifestyle Avg school fees is 50-60 k for British/ IB curriculum Indian schools would be 2k per month but most doctors don’t prefer Indian schools these days
